81  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto transactions in the Philippines reach $390 million in 2018 on: May 13, 2019, 12:55:48 PM
Cryptocurrency transactions in the Philippines doubled in 2018 despite a 6.5 percent decline in cryptocurrency transaction volume.

Full article: https://www.unblock.news/market/crypto-transactions-in-the-philippines-reach-390-million-in-2018

82  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sino dito ang naka experience ng last bull run (2017) on: May 12, 2019, 05:55:27 AM
Tingin ko timely ito dahil paparating na malaking bull run, hopefully this year.

2.) May regret ba kayo sa last bull run? Ano yun?

83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed BTC? What will you do if your bitcoin get scammed? on: May 12, 2019, 05:47:00 AM
Have you ever been scammed? And what will you do if your bitcoin get scammed?

Few years ago, it seemed to be the beginning of 2013, I did not remember clearly, I've ever been scammed for nearly 20 BTC, I funded a gambling site, my account got frozen without any reason few hours after I funded.

I could do nothing except crying.

I bet you cried much more when you saw btc spiking up to $20k in December but I guarantee that you are going to be much more agonized when you know that this coming bull run and the next halving hype, an all time high will happen again and you start to tell yourself the 'if only' scenario in your head.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for scammers, yea right! on: May 12, 2019, 05:35:45 AM
We regularly read FUD articles in the popular media about Bitcoin being used in scams and that it is a perfect tool for scammers to hide their activities and the movie industry already labelled Bitcoin as the Internet of Money for the DarkNet.  Roll Eyes

I am currently watching a series called, "Undercover: Nailing the Fraudsters" and most of the scams featured there are done within a regulated environment. Boiler room scammers are not requesting payment in Crypto currencies to hide their activities, they get the victims to deposit money via their Bank accounts into their Bank accounts. <obviously created with fake ID documents>  Roll Eyes

In business, the term boiler room refers to an outbound call center selling questionable investments by telephone. It usually refers to a room where salesmen work using unfair, dishonest sales tactics, sometimes selling penny stocks, private placements or committing outright stock fraud. - Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiler_room_(business)

So, next time when someone tells you that Crypto currencies are used for scams, please highlight the fact that most scams are still being done under the nose of the regulated financial industry.  Wink

That is just the tip of the iceberg bro. If we will have a full exploration on all transactions around the world, a lot of these frauds are inside banks.
And then we start counting all the mafia and syndicates that do their illegal transaction using fiat in underground places or anything hidden.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you protect your digital coins? on: May 12, 2019, 01:03:01 AM
Don't use npm and don't put > 100 btc in your wallet (:

If I had 100 btc in my wallet or even more than that, I will split it up into 10 or 20 in different hardware cold wallets. Exchanges or software wallets is not an option for me. And now that btc is looking so hot right now, it's not just investors that are getting attracted again but also hackers so think very carefully before you put it in any exchange.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 12, 2019, 12:48:37 AM
I am happy today as finally the total Marketcap is now $200 billion, what can we expect from here?

https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/

We are back again! Yesterday, I was just looking at btc with a $6.5k value but now it passed $7k easily when I woke up. I really don't how and why  but I'm not complaining and I wish it reaches $15k before the last quarter because of most of the predictions or speculation is that nexxt year btc will be more than $100k.

88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee is crypto man of the year on: January 31, 2019, 06:17:45 AM
Friends, McAfee became the man of the year in a crypto entity, do you agree?
How do you feel about his statements and predictions, is he capable of influencing the market so much to become a person of the year in our midst?

Who said that? Those group must be drug addicts who just decided to award that McAfee bastard. Mcafee is not the type of person that people should look up to because in my few years here in crypto, I've witnessed many of his stupid  acts in the cryptospace just like endorsing shitty ICOs for money.
89  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A world without borders? on: January 31, 2019, 06:13:25 AM
I think it's going to be hard to contain an incident or any bad things that happens in those divided borders.  Because there are some occurences where a new disease just spread or a terror attack just happened, those borders acts the first line of defense and to contain the situation.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: How news influence the market. on: January 31, 2019, 06:06:58 AM
Friends, how do you find out fake news? Do you think he impact of this news  hinders the development of the market greatly, or the rates fluctuate only on major hype and fakes do not prevent the market from going forward?

CNN is full of fake news and that is the first thing you need to know. A lot of media articles just release attention grabbing headlines just to attract readers but the content is just pure trash. And if it's not because of them, btc could still be maintaining a good price of $15k more or less.
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: A long decay on: January 31, 2019, 06:02:33 AM
very difficult to predict, too many factors, but if I think this will last a long time, at least up to bitcoin halving, this means the period after 2020. I hope not so long, I have lost too much, this is because I have to part of the value assets that I have for my life needs, while the price of assets that I disburse the price is far below, and the remaining assets also experience a very drastic decline in value.

That happened with a lot of traders in this moment. It eats a lot of time but nothing is happening. You guys should have learned the lesson that it's better to be an investor at all than a trader. I also don't believe that the halving will do anything good because we need real users.
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing? on: January 30, 2019, 06:05:34 AM
People who have plans to murder someone or to get revenge will always find a weapon of their choice to make it happen. They can make improvised guns and other bladed weapons so your advise is useless at all. There are also chemicals that are much dangerous than guns that can kill hundreds of people or damage them permanently.
93  Local / Pilipinas / Re: It's a bear market. Are you ready to go full time? Ano ang magandang gawin? on: January 30, 2019, 05:57:32 AM

94  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Filipino crypto users on: January 30, 2019, 05:48:12 AM

With the implementation of the merit system, I doubt if they will still create an alternative account.
Maybe in the past when there's a lot of account farmer in the forum but most of the accounts are already reg tagged as most of them are scammers.
The merit system really help to improve this forum, newbies now are better compared to the past IMO.

95  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Thoughts about exposing ABS about bitcoin on: January 30, 2019, 05:39:07 AM
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: January 29, 2019, 06:15:26 PM
We are still in the bear market so we should focus on how we will protect our investment for us to not experience losses. We can survive in the market if we have information to handle the risks that we are taking.

I agree. There's a recent hack and people are still not learning the proper way to secure their assets and those people who used that exchange has learned the hard way. Guy please take time to study all the kind of wallets and the risk when you use them so they won't be a problem in the future if we enter in a huge bull again.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin will pump like crazy on: January 29, 2019, 06:10:04 PM
First of all throw away all TA you have seen and every good news idea you have been waiting for. Tho I have been in crypto for a little time I have realized that all that people base on to predict the bull market are mostly untrue (at least, for now).

Now the only reason that can pump Bitcoin on the market is that, people ridiculing and price watching even though they've not bought in can pump it. What happens is that, after every bubble people look out for the "subject of topic" to collapse. If it doesn't, they come and join like crazy and that's why Bitcoin skyrocketed in 2017.

So all we have to know is that should Bitcoin pull through this mess again, lol . .we're gonna moonrocket and that'll be because all those who thought we're done forever (Haters, Press, Analysts, Economists, those who cashed out, etc) will catalyse a never seen before FOMO.

So as for me, I'm not waiting for any Bakkt, ETF, Government regulations, Institutional Investors, Venture Capitalists, etc....I'm just waiting for 2019 to pass by and we'll see.

Bitcoin skyrocketed in 2017 because of price and volume manipulation in exchanges, pump and dump schemes, hardforks and printing million of tether. Nobody can do it again and get the same effect because things are more stricter now thanks to SEC.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the market will continue to fall on: January 29, 2019, 05:57:56 PM
1st off these are not coins, why are they called "coins" when they clearly are not? This is the first part off the scam.... #2 why does the bitcoin logo look like a gold coin? Crypto is Digital Fiat and like all fiat all cryptos backed by nothing will eventually reach Zero. In bitcoins case it will reachh virtually zero because it will become a collectors item in the future due to being one of the biggest bubbles in history. Traders are gonna gonna rekt thhese coins have no value and time will show you

The term "coin" and it's gold image does not relate to any scam. It's just a representation and you clearly don't do research enough to know what this all about. This is about a tech that is on a digital platform the is secured and recorded on a ledger and it's solves the pain on trust gap.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: What's it like to live on crypto instead of Banks? on: January 29, 2019, 05:49:59 PM
I think bank will still be there because in the long run they will accept bitcoin to stay in the industry. I still see people putting most of their funds like their bitcoin in banks for tight security. And small amount of  altcoins are in there own personal wallet.
