84  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it a proof-of-value/knowledge platform? on: October 04, 2017, 08:57:48 AM
On HelpTap (https://helptap.com) anyone can share instant answers, knowledge and services on chat with people who are looking for help.

In return they get rewarded with in-app coins. It's already live and lot of folks from the blockchain community are already using it!

What do you think about it?
85  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Earn coins for asking your question and helping others💡 on: October 04, 2017, 05:24:55 AM
I did not really understand how the system works. I linked to the site via twitter. I have read some of the questions and tried to respond as soon as I can. Now let's come to the real subject. How can I win coin by helping others? where does this coin source come from. Does the system itself make payments or are users asking the question to do this?In general, comments are very positive, but I think the answers to these questions are a bit difficult. because if the system is paying, what are those payments made against? it seems like the loop is going to fail.

These coins are more like in-app tokens at the moment to use the service. They will have monetary value attached post coin offering.
86  Economy / Service Announcements / What do you think about "Proof-of-knowledge"? on: October 03, 2017, 09:38:23 AM
Hi all, we've built a platform called HelpTap (https://helptap.com) wherein anyone can share instant answers, knowledge and services on chat with people who are looking for help.

In return they get rewarded with in-app coins. It's already live and hundreds of people from blockchain communities are using it!

Would love to hear what you think about the economics of the idea and platform?

87  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Ask your question and help others on chat💡 on: October 03, 2017, 06:50:09 AM
Hi,

I still haven't asked a question in the app, but answered a couple more. I like the simplicity of the platform, but can I see previously asked questions and their answers somewhere?

Also, where can I find the balance of the in-app coins?

Thanks!

In the next update (coming in couple of days) you'll be able to see answers to the queries as well. So watch out this space Smiley

You can find the balance in your profile (top right icon).

Please go ahead and ask a question to see the whole experience end to end!!

At the moment, this website looks to be more kind of a forum rather than a live chat room, I have tried answering some members question on the website, but it doesn't seems there are many users actively participating in the topics started by the user with doubts, so the interaction of a live chat room doesn't seems to work out at least for now.

Thanks a ton for your contributions so far! Smiley

Just curious what made you feel topics had little active participation from people wanting to help? I'm sure you do realize it's private 1-1 chat so you can't tell exactly how many others folks have helped the same person with doubt. But really keen to learn about your perspective.

Definitely an interesting concept, the use case is simple yet brilliant. Well done. Would like to know more about the economics of the platform.

Glad you like it. Smiley

Economics is pretty simple - you reward in-app coins to others who help you with your query/task. The coins are like utility tokens which will have value post ICO.

92  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Earn coins for asking your question and helping others💡 on: September 30, 2017, 02:08:49 PM
Okay so first of all I'm just basing my opinion upon the title and the rather short description you've given me on the project so don't mind if there's an in depth explaination on the project. So you claim your service/project will pay you in a specific token for 'helping' others or asking questions. The first question that pops to my mind is: "Where's the money coming from?" or rather how does the business model work?

Thanks for the question - these are in-app coins which will have monetary value attached post ICO.

96  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Earn coins for asking your question and helping others💡 on: September 29, 2017, 08:11:49 AM
I like the idea of this. Because lot of people has a lack of knowledge about bitcoin, so instead of posting it in bitcointalk you can ask it in here. Because lot of people in here ask some none sense question. I like also the idea that you can get here a free coin in exchange in helping other.

Thanks for trying it out, did you ask or help with any question? Would love to hear your thoughts! Smiley

98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What’s up with the people looking down on us beginners? on: September 28, 2017, 09:04:19 AM
Valid point. As a beginner/newbie on this forum it's very hard to get noticed / personalized answers. More often than not we're left wondering and confused. I know because I faced this issue myself when I was just getting started in the field and had a lot of things I wanted to understand.

If you're interested in talking with like-minded folks around Blockchain and Crypto space, we've built an exclusive community where people get connected in 1-on-1 chat instantly. You can try it now on https://helptap.com - hope it helps Smiley
99  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Earn coins for asking your question and helping others💡 on: September 28, 2017, 08:01:11 AM
It seems a great project, everbody need to ask something and find some expert about some topics. I also have some experience about some topics and waiting to get bitcoin with answer Smiley

Yes, we're already seeing great usage patterns and the community is totally loving it!

Though you don't get Bitcoin with answers but app's in-built coins Smiley
100  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Earn coins for asking your question and helping others💡 on: September 28, 2017, 05:32:11 AM
So far the site is a good start. I've participated in it some. Looking forward to the ICO.

Thanks a lot 🙏 - it's your participation that keeps the community going and should lead to a successful ICO Smiley
