81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have a bad feeling about this rally! on: July 03, 2018, 06:36:25 AM
Why do you think there is no demand for bitcoin?
I would have thought there is plenty of demand from people just waiting for the value to show + signs.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EMRO COIN - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? on: July 02, 2018, 10:37:07 PM
Interesting masternote offering seats also.
Worth investing some time at least to visit the ANN thread....

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin back to $500 is likeley on: June 11, 2018, 10:45:08 PM
It looks like bitcoin will have a very strong dip and be back under 1k.  My prediction is telling me it will fall to around the 500 dollar range within a month.

Why? What is your reason?
If the price of bitcoin and crypto goes even to $2k there will be so many people ready to buy, and the buying of cheap coins will fuel the rise again. There is so much negativity as soon as bitcoin and crypto falls back.

History shows us that these sorts of movements happen but wr have to examine the positives over the last 12 months and we will see that the future is promising.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, crypto and ICO's- in danger of becoming a laughing stock? on: June 11, 2018, 10:27:54 PM
The crypto scene has been dominated of late by speculators and the ICO creators know that.
We all know some ICO' are pure scams but some people dont care they want cheap tokens to dump on the market at an opportune time to make a healthy profit and move on to the next ICO.

There are also a lot of coins/tokens/projects with very viable ideas which have potential to disrupt the mainstream, they can succeed and be adopted and the rubbish can lurk in the background without the mainstream knowing about them.
86  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will Bitcoin Be Back To $20,000 ? on: June 11, 2018, 08:30:57 PM
It may happen this year still, history can repeat itself and people remember.
I think after a slow recovery back to $10k plus the FOMO will kick in and that is what will drive the market.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Going Less Than $5000? on: June 11, 2018, 06:22:46 PM
Is this the end of crypto and bitcoin,?
Really? People can see everyone dumping their holdings, some people can see all the miners switching off their hardware and walking away. Are we going to see everyone in japan for example totally abandoning crypto after being so positive about it?

No, of course not, there is simply too much development and investment gone into this.

This is just another opportunity to fortify the portfolio.

88  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain as a solution to inequality? on: June 11, 2018, 06:36:50 AM
I think the article is a piece of rubbish.

It's an article that promotes a certain project called Pool of Stake. The article talks more about solutions to blockchain inequality rather than using the blockchain itself to address inequality lmao. It's clickbait.

To answer the topic's question though: I seriously doubt it. It's an extremely tall order considering inequality is a problem as old as humanity itself. It's a social issue that cannot be addressed by simple software implementation. It could probably have micro effects on isolated fields though, depending on what it's used for.

It can be a solution someday if the government accept crypto as an alternative currency for thei economy.

How will that work then? Assuming a government accepts crypto as an alternative currency?
I think some people think all you have to do is get an empty bitcoin wallet and "the blockchain" will fill it up with "free" coins.
Some people are dilusional if they think crypto can solve a social issue like inequality as the thread title suggests.
89  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scary thought on: June 10, 2018, 08:38:31 PM
It would have a very big effect on the markets but it would be temporary,
The markets would bounce back as there would be a rush to buy very cheap coins.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: June 10, 2018, 02:18:58 PM
My opinion is and i think we alll know crypto is not going to drop substantially.
Ok it is fluctuating as normal but there is onky one way its going in the long term.

I dont have any tecnical and enlightening knowledge for this but the markets have been stalled at $6k, $7, $8k,
it will start growing at some point
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Fiat - this is how I see the future on: June 10, 2018, 01:05:56 PM
Nice interesting posts.
Just to be clear i believe bitcoin or any other decentralised currency will not be used by any country.
What i believe is that each country wi have its own CONTROLLED crypto currency without metal and paper money, this controlled currency will still be regarded by me as fiat.

For those of us who dont want to place our trust fully in the hands of governments and banks we will still use decentralised currency - bitcoin! Governments wont be able to control that!
92  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin and Fiat - this is how I see the future on: June 10, 2018, 07:50:02 AM
At a time where I see currencies moving away from cash to digital I think the reason is partly so that governments can control the flow of their currency more particularly for laundering. They can possibly gain more taxation from a cashless currency because cash cannot be fully traced. If i sell my car for cash to another individual the government dont get any revenue from that because it is not traceable.

So in a governments aim to control our money it will leave a big opening for bitcoin and other decentralised crypto to exist along with fiat and will allow people to "trade" anonymously with each other over a completely independent infrastructure.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Application of Blockchain in the Music Industry on: June 10, 2018, 07:26:15 AM
From this report from back in January blockchain will disrupt the music industry when it comes to protecting copyrights and also for music downloads. http://www.wired.co.uk/article/blockchain-disrupting-music-mycelia

New efforts, such as Imogen Heap's Mycelia, are helping content creators protect copyright and receive direct payment for their work
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency boost: Slovenia creates first bitcoin city in the world on: June 09, 2018, 09:41:11 PM
SLOVENIA is set to open a bitcoin city in its largest shopping mall in Ljubljana, where customers can pay for goods simply using bitcoin and cryptocurrency, operating via blockchain technology, in a world first.

Good news for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency world !

I invite you to read the full article from here:
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/971527/bitcoin-news-slovenia-bitcoin-city-Ljubljana-cryptocurrency-btc

How come those news are good for BTC and the crypto world? This is Ljubljana, not New York or London.
What happend to the idea of an crypto island,or a crypto state?Nothing, because nobody was interested.
I really doubt that people in Slovenia are hardcore crypto fanatics. Grin

But the main purpose i think is to attract peoples around the world and promote tourism in the region, national economy, and they can even expand their business and sell over internet etc ... So, in your opinion this will add no value to cryptocurrency world ?

The aim also will be to attract blockchain industries and companies.
I think also there would be a big tourism factor and yet again raises big awareness for bitcoin and for crypto.
With around 500 stores visitors with bitcoin ciuld find it hard to keep their coins.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/971527/bitcoin-news-slovenia-bitcoin-city-Ljubljana-cryptocurrency-btcBTC City houses over 500 retails stores and strecthes over 1,558,398 square feet.

There is the issue that maybe people are reluctant to spend their coins instead opting to hodl for higher prices.
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: Curiosity of bitcoin prices in the future on: June 09, 2018, 06:54:08 PM
Its very difficult to speculate exactly when and by how much a bitcoin rise will be.
I believe it will climb again because it is becoming more of an investment and speculation tool and once the run starts it could be hard to stop until it all gets overpressured just like what happened in January.
This may rightly happen in the last quarter of the year as bitcoin proves not to be falling below 6k
96  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New french platform to purchase crypto-currencies on: June 09, 2018, 05:45:20 PM
Good news. We are seeing positive moves towards bitcoin and crypto in europe.

We now see this news from france along with news from poland that they see crypto trading as legal.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4437999.0

Also recently from Germany where large scale investors can trade crypto.
https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/05/16/germanys-second-biggest-stock-exchange-launches-crypto-trading-bitcoin-ethereum-litecoin-ripple

Looks like the bew polish exchange is making it easy for users to buy into crypto with CC or paypal, its all positive

98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 95,000 Bitcoin transferred to an exchange! on: June 09, 2018, 06:54:51 AM
If this turns into a sell off or liguidation the markets will react negatively a bit but it will only be short term.
it only represents about 0.5% of the overall current supply and will also create another opportunity to buy in cheaply.

Also if the whale does sell isnt that what so many of us dream of doing ourselves? Isnt the new buzzword "lambo"
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SiaCoin (Sc)!! on: June 08, 2018, 11:04:29 PM
Because SIA have a hard working development team the project is constantly progressing.

This latest news "Stream video from Sia network" is great. Visit the blog to read more https://blog.sia.tech/stream-video-from-sia-network-bc9e2d5d9daa

I cannot believe the SIA value is still so low, prime opportunity to get into this technology.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterNode Altcoins on: June 08, 2018, 09:11:56 PM
I think masternodes are going to plat a big part in the future investment and technology of crypto.
They offer a reward for hosting a node but you have a responsibility to keep that node running.
The reward can pay handsomely especially if you are a pioneer of that coin and can host more than one node.

Masternodes can be compared to the "goose thay lays the golden egg" and the best example of a successful masternode investment is DASH.
