I think there is no need for me to repeat a Wikipedia explanation of what exactly ICO is. I just wanted to add that if you are willing to manage ICO campaign, you need to prepare a strong well-written white paper that will clearly explain the purpose of your project. Your white paper can either attract a whole bunch of potential investors or bury your project during the pre-launch phase - it is that crucial for you.
This debate over who’s better looks like a classic “Apple vs. Android” argument. In the closest future, there are not so many reasons to believe that bitcoin will knock-off the classic banking system. The vast majority of people still don’t have a proper knowledge of what exactly Bitcoin is. It is almost definitely a currency of the future, but it’s hard for me to say how close this future is.
IMO we live in the age when kids would rather google all the questions themselves and then even teach the parent about this information. The explanation of how bitcoins work can only be necessary if the child itself came to you with this question. And even then you can find an interactive video on YouTube or some interesting infographics that can easily involve a child into brand new knowledge with a simple explanation of the topic and some cool animation. If you still want to explain the mechanism of bitcoins and blockchains on your own, you should really avoid most of the insider complicated terminology to keep it simple. Show the process using easy examples from everyday life or create your own using the situations that may be relatable to your child.
