81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO][XRPC] XRPconnect – Lending – Trading platform – Cryptocurrency on: December 01, 2017, 02:27:29 AM
Well your not wrong that XRP has so far been quite underwhelming... but the Escrow about to happen could change the course for the better.

Anyhoo - I'm all for lower supply projects that try and offer something beneficial to its users.  Id be happy to see more information regarding your dashboard, trading bot or your exchange and wallets.

Have followed and will share on twitter. Also once you have your FB back up and running I will follow there too.

82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: {ANN} Electrum Dark - fully-functional decentralized marketplace ( PRE - ICO ) on: November 30, 2017, 11:25:23 PM
Easy to follow airdrop process - although the first page says email address (followed by ether address directly under it) so that could confuse people.
Your website is nice and refreshing, the concept great and the low transaction fees and low supply will make this an appealing product. Good luck.

83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Altcoins Survive on: November 30, 2017, 04:09:24 AM
Hi
From my short time in this space - alts can survive long-term. The more of these things the better but some coins only need one or two of them. Its just like any business situation.

Active development team (except if your DOGE)
Active and engaged community - if noone cares enough to promote or demand your product its not going to last long
Active markets - if you can't get it into the hands of the masses - well byeeeeeeeeeee
A new technology or product/service or a better way than that currently available - this is where I think a lot of ICO's are just missing the point. If you aren't offering a unique crypto in some way or if your target market has no idea why this is beneficial.
Usability - btc is great - but ya know - high fees, slow transfers... alts do th

Also another reason alts can survive - is that if you can't afford a lambo, then you can always get a budget toyota or or something. Alts make a great cheaper alternative to entering the market (mostly after you'v bought the btc first) and if you can find the golden gooses out there... Smiley
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My residential Solar + Mining farm on: November 30, 2017, 01:59:42 AM
Gah -I want to do this here in NZ - our power costs are about the same. Also I'm sick of being at the mercy of our unreliable power suppliers. I looked into solar for a new house build but at the time my main concern was cost savings (no mining impact then). And at the time - there was no cost benefit.

I need to readdress and factor in clean energy, mining and cost on my next evaluation.

So jelly of your rigs too - I'm thinking I want to try a vega rig but I need to go and do some more research I think!

Cheers for your info!

Hi there - Well I'm not sure if the airdrop is still accepting new registrations - but it was still available for completing so here I am. The form wasn't overly intrusive -  I saw someone mention earlier that this would limit fake signups - but I assume thats just requiring all signups not be under Jnr Rank, which is good. I'm over hearing about fake signups getting airdrops just to dump the coins straight away and lead to panic selling amongst the honest players anyways.

Well I hope you are still accepting new registrations. I honestly hadn't seen this in twitter or the airdrop groups I watch so I'm not sure if you had marketed this well, or were just bombarded in the beginning with spam registrations so kept yourselves on the DL, but I'm here now to see what happens.

Good luck, I like seeing projects with HODL programs or POS rewards. Its actually just refreshing to see you are just as committed long-term as your community would like you to be. So kudos.

I didn't get a chance to mine many of these during the PLAY phase Sad but there looks to be some bargains on these in ED right now. Tempted - but I could be reading ED wrong as still not sure how to drive that bi*ch just yet lol. Smiley

I liked the concept of this and enjoyed playing for the few tokens I have.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit.Net - CRYPTOCURRENCY EXCHANGE & MultiCoin DICE - Free Coins every 1-24 hrs on: November 27, 2017, 01:51:26 PM
Okay where to start... I've been back and forthing about whether to go first in checking out some trading sites. I've signed up for a few but hadn't bothered to check their platforms out beyond searching for a wallet address on the fly. But I'm getting a few airdrop tokens and I keep seeing them state things like "now listed on ED" or "trading now on Yobit". So... time to get serious!

So EtherDelta was my first time trying to go in and get a token value to see if it worth selling... God only knows why a site with so many users and so many tokens doesn't have an easier search option and token price display. I don't find the candle graph all that helpful. I just want either a token/btc value or a token/usd value to be visible in some way at first glance. So scraped using ED after 10 minutes of nothing.

Yobit on the other hand has a much clearer interface, offers the coin/token value information with no fuss, and basically for a new user a relatively intuitive platform for buying and selling. The 'Wallets" section is easy to find, quick enough to generate deposit addresses for and easy to change your balance list by sort options. Again - nice and simple and straight forward.

They had some free coins which were mostly for PWR which has a 205BTC sell order blocking the order book but meh - the free coin option may appeal to coin collectors. And I saw a Dice Game and InvestBox option which also looks interesting.

At first glance & run through the site seems well thought out and very user-friendly - an excellent place for a beginner... my biggest issue is the constant posting of negative feedback. I'm sure for every negative comment there are multiple positive ones, but for the most part - all I can see on positive remarks from the last few thread pages look like a lot of new users posting spam thanks.

I'm not sure I'm comfortable putting too much into Yobit with all the negative remarks however I have a feeling I would like to deposit with them - perhaps some DOGE and see how that flies around. Be good if some other users can think of something positive about the site. Its been around for a couple of years so I doubt it would have grown as big without a decent amount of community support I wouldnt think.

As a gamer - I found the start of your website quite exciting - but then as I moved down the page it seemed to go from being gamified to unoriginal and generic cartoon styles which seemed a little disconnected... So you lost my engagement in a few short moments sorry.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] Freedom of action with ZUMMINER 🚀 on: November 27, 2017, 11:18:06 AM
Hi - just had a look at the website.
I quite enjoy the ease of cloud mining so firstly when is this likely to be going live?

Also, your FAQ section notes the minimum investment period of 1 month, however your tariffs shows the beginner level investment period as 92 days. Which is correct? Or is there another shorter period available to see after signing up? And sorry if this has been asked previously.

Thanks
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: November 27, 2017, 10:40:49 AM
Thanks Genesis Mining. I've found your service to be easy and hassle free and just wanted to add some positivity to the thread as there is clearly a few who have found the experience less than appealing.

I receive daily payouts to my wallet, had no trouble changing wallets or reallocating hashing power and was politely answered to my help desk query.

Did I notice some missing transaction details on my dashboard. Yes. Did I immediately assume you were stealing from me. No. All I did once I noticed that there was an issue was switch my hashing power around a little. I chose a coin with a lower reward rate to see if I could confirm the mining was still happening and continued my day. And it is so thank you.

GM  you've been upfront regarding missing payouts, missing dashboard hashes and less than ideal help desk response time. So you're not hiding anything. I hope you can iron out the dashboard bugs and return to regular payout times etc. And hopefully work towards implementing a more stable system overall.

So thanks again! And I look forward to working with you for awhile to come.

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What can I expect from this Genesis Mining Contract? Worth it or Nope? on: November 26, 2017, 12:28:50 PM
I receive daily payouts of ZEC from Genesis Mining and have done since I switched to it over a month ago so yeh not sure why others are saying its scam... I too only put $100 in and I can pick and choose which coins I want to focus my hash power on. The return is not as great as a quick trade turnover, but I look at it like a low interest bearing account. I do nothing to receive the coins. Granted I could have just bought them outright, but wheres the fun in that. Also, the fee you pay up front is all there is with Genesis.

I also run my own miners and they can return a much higher profit amount - but I have to manage all the hardware and believe me, its like a stab in the eye when you return home to find half of them are offline. It would have been easier for me to have put that money into cloud mining and just forget about it. But I really wanted to have a play with my own equipment lol.

Now for others who say it doesn't return compared to trading. This is true. Trading isn't guaranteed though and where some people can buy and sell at the good times not everyone can make it work. Like those who don't trust cloud miners as they feel they are scams I kind of have similar bad feelings regarding the security and the ease of use of the trading platforms. But its only my ignorance here as i havent had time to fully explore them yet and my eyes are continually seeing only negative posts. Yobit looked like a nice straight forward platform though and a lot easier to navigate than EtherDelta at first glance.

Its good to hear other people's experiences on things - but its always nicer to be able to experience something for yourself. So I will give trading more of a look too.

But if you are looking to make the biggest return you should probably look at the trading option over cloud mining as the payback period is months, versus potentially repaying yourself overnight with trading if you pick the right coins.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY or AIRDROPS ???? on: November 26, 2017, 11:58:01 AM
Yeh, I wouldn't limit myself to one or the other.

Some bounties may require more work than others and def more input than an airdrop which is usually only a signup so for that reason bounties may have much better rewards. Bounties also last longer and due to the effort required to maintain them its more likely they would be legit over airdrops which can offer be nothing more than data collecting or possible scam/fail projects.

All in all tho both is my answer as well.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: SCAM [AIRDROPs] ⚡ on: November 26, 2017, 10:55:58 AM
None of the airdrops are going to say straight up "I'm a scam - buy my shitcoin/shittoken and I'll give you nothing muhahahah!"

Some have a obvious flags of unprofessionalism, and others are just out to steal from you using sophisticated techniques. But the S word isn't something to throw around for everything that doesn't work out.

Some airdrops will never pan out as the idea behind it never gained traction, for whatever reason, and others just might not of had a good enough idea for anyone to believe in in the first place.

Look for things that don't appear very professional. Spelling mistakes for me annoy me immensely in marketing of any kind. Everyday talk, yeh thats fine, but if a project wants me to give them money of any kind then they can take the effort to proof read. Also an airdrop should not be the first thing an upcoming ICO does. First up they should have a relatively well thought out and professional looking website at the least, and some support contacts, and a basic roadmap. The creation of the token for airdropping should not be needed to be created until well after they've got their idea off the ground. If it all looks like it was hashed together over a beer the night before its probably not going to get far is it.

Airdrops that require you to send GAS are not really an airdrop. Its worse if you have to sign up and send all your details to find out the last thing to do before you receive your tokens is to send us some GAS because our project is sooooo legit, we want small inconsequent amounts from as many idiots...suckers... new community members as we can get! Some use this option under the guise of "Anti-Spam signups"... If they want to protect themselves from spam sign-ups I'd like to protect myself from scam airdrops. So I avoid these and advise people about them as best I can so people can know before they sign up what is required.

Airdrops that ask for a novel of your information to sign up... I'm talking about needing more than the obvious ones here as most airdrops ask for names, emails, BTT, Telegram & Twitter handles and MEW addresses. I mean the ones that want your ID, or just anything you are not comfortable sharing. Then don't share it. It might not be scam but if it feels like a violation of your interests or security. Just say no.

And make sure you are running anti-virus/malware protection if you are worried about scamlinks always. And always watch out for phishing sites for MEW/ED etc.

Most likely this is written somewhere in a more official post by someone higher ranked - but the above is how I'm trying to operate right now and just remember to use an AIRDROP mew or metamask that only has a bare minimum ETH in it. Don't freely post any address that holds your life savings for someone to check out and be determined to drain.
95  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free bitcoin website - trustworthy? on: November 25, 2017, 01:46:53 PM
Its not a scam and it has an established history and confirmed payouts. Its browser miner is a user select option so you don't get bombarded with it like other unprofessional sites. Its one of the first faucet sites I came across in cryptospace and I've had no dramas with it.

Its also just made BTG available from the fork on your BTC balance they offer you the option to earn interest on your balance after you reach the 30k satoshi withdrawal limit. As well as that they have the lottery options etc and a reward points program. And they have the freedoge.co.in site also.
96  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you spend money on online game items on: November 24, 2017, 01:27:35 PM
I don't know how many times my group and I would be like - yeh no way not buying anything in this game. You'd turn your back for 5 minutes and by the time you looked back someone was riding a fancy new mount... every time... next minute... whole groups got new coined mounts like pros.
97  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bounties? on: November 24, 2017, 01:09:04 PM

Thank you for the information, I would just like to know how to spot a good ICO as when I check on the bounties is really confuses me I already get how the social media bounty goes along with the signature bounties as taken from your answers however I really do not know how to spot a good ICO.
[/quote]

I'm still trying to figure it out the "good" ICO's from the bad ones myself. When you figure it out give me a heads up. At the moment I'm just picking ones with projects I can understand or would use if they make it to release. Refereum & Viuly are examples of that.

Otherwise I check out the ICO to see if they have working platform. Consider the level of detail the site goes to for automating the bounty process, or signup process and how the team handles all questions. If they aren't professional 100% of the time why would I want to support them with my time or my crypto. Do they have a wider dev team supporting them or regular staff etc. A couple of ones I'm getting behind at the moment include Refereum, Rebellious, Viuly and Chimaera for those reasons.

The other thing I do... is I prepare myself to get absolutely nothing back from these. If I have no expectations of rewards then I can be pleasantly surprised if it pays off. Thats my mindset now anyway. I'll revist that in a few months to see if I still feel like that - or if I've learned anything new Smiley Sorry its probs not that helpful Sad

thanks buddy, really helpful for me, but is it possible to newbie to join translation reserve?
[/quote]

Glad to help out Smiley

I'm sadly not multilingual so I haven't had any direct experience in how the translation process works. However from what can be seen on ANN/Bounty threads - I believe anyone can apply for them - usually they just note "Reserved - xxx Language" into the threads.
As an additional point to note - I've also seen many people listing previous translation works that they've done. (Almost like a CV application of sorts).
Submitting your interest in this type of bounty (dependant on the language to be translated) may have high competition from other users, and if I was running an ICO I would likely prefer an experienced translator. But I would definitely apply if I were you as it cannot hurt. Just remember to be professional and polite if they do not accept as well, as even connecting with the ICO devs counts towards your BTT ranking which helps as well.

Again... I'm not fully experienced in translation bounties so please if anyone has more accurate info let us know here. The more tips and knowledge shared about things the more informed we all get.
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any good mobile wallet for iOS ? on: November 24, 2017, 03:39:36 AM

Jaxx has a multi-currency option for IOS - its uses the Shapeshift.io exchange platform to trade between your currencies. I've not tried buying using this app so no comment on that - but I have utilised currency swaps and they work fine.

Also previously mentioned Coinbase offers the three main currencies BTC, ETH & LTC.  However depending on your country it won't allow you to buy BTC from within the app.

Welcome guys - I'm only a few months old here myself in the crypto world.

So first up, get a feel for the forum, read up on rules/help sections to get an idea of whats what.

If you haven't looked into it yet - make sure you fully understand how and where to store your crypto securely. Its just like regular money so if it saddens you to lose it in real life - its just the same feeling in crypto space.

Have fun here.
