I absolutely agree that the best strategy for a beginner - buy and forget. And you should buy in the next few weeks because by the end of April bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will start growing. And after that, you will need to wait for the next market drop to find a good entrance. That is a completely false thinking. The crypto market is very unpredictable and you can not invest but forget what you invested in. This is beyond surreal IMO. Even with the massive slumps BTC is experiencing right now, it still is hard to see that bitcoin would touch $100 again, let alone sub-$100. There needs to be some form of catastrophe before this even comes true. There are already loads of deep pockets invested and have profited from bitcoin to just let their money-making machine die in vain. Think of all the hundreds of millions of dollars invested in mining machines alone; do you think these mining operators would simply let the fad die out easily?

I can't imagine  What will happen to you if bitcoin will die  (Long Life Bitcoin, We will go to the mars again very soon) There is no way that bitcoin will die or be banned in every country because japan today is using cryptocurrency to improve the economy of their own country and i do not see the reason why other countries just do the same way for their own benefit. Hello guys, even before this topic came to this platform, I have started talking to my kids about bitcoin,and their cousin's, and they are learning very fast,what picked there attention is the making money part I told them,they can place trade on two different platforms Now, and mine comfortably.. But I don't allow there studies to suffer..
You know why my friend? Because they're willing to learn the new things in this world and they accept it easily not like us , the adults, so much nervous, so much careful about something new. Here in my country, It is still not legal but few people accepted bitcoin. Other countries will not support bitcoin because government thinks it will be a threat to them, threat to their economy. I think the OP is talking about the investing problem. He means that he buys Bitcoin with a high price and that won't give him back the profits with Bitcoin rise. But with my opinion, i think everything still be fine, Bitcoin still going up and down everytime and the only thing you have to do is buy it when it's low and sell it when it's high .
