It was some time ago actually. They fixed the bug found and made contract better. Then they held another hackathon with 1500 ETH again in the contract. Now they have a BETA out already. |

I am loving the lottery BETA - great job team.
Same here! Love it. Its actually pretty fun to play even with 0.001 ETH bet. Yes, it is much better than a traditional lottery, results come back within a few minutes. The graphics are very well done, it is intuitive and eye catching. We gonna be rocking and rolling once this gets adoption. Imagine if this gets adoption from non-crypto world. This would be huge. |

What is the advantage of investing at the start of the ICO instead of the end?
For TrueFlip, the post ICO price (Exchange) was 50% cheaper than the ICO price. Personally for this reason, I will buy after the ICO on Exchange, and I'm pretty sure the price will be 50% Cheaper  There's no point in comparing SmartBillions to TrueFlip. SmartBiilions is a lottery based on the Ethereums' smart contract, fully transparent and decentralised. Where TrueFlip is a lottery that is administrated by the Admin. If you want fact, then keep it real: Trueflip had a working MVP before ICO (you don't) TrueFlip promise in his roadmap to become fully decentralized (so that's not a good point you just made) So by the time you have MVP ready, maybe they will be already decentralized Anyway, mark my word: 15 days after ICO price, I'll be able to buy your token for 50% discount over ICO price. That is my gamble MVP is actually ready. Check their website. At navigation bar there is now Play(BETA) that uses the same contract and has 500k dollars in it. |

this would be my first ico I'm interested in. Can someone please tell me what I need and have to do to join this ico? I know that it will start next week and that I most likely need some ether. But then, how will this work when the ico starts?
Do I need a special wallet? currently I'm using a ledger nano wallet
Do I need an account somewhere?
Will I just send some ether to the smart contract and the source address is the payout address for dividends?

No, seems like the creator of the contract withdrawn the the first amount of ETH himself. First withdrawn address 0x4e49a19df5876ac6b20918b251138aab218cea81 is the same as contract creator. I don't get it. Do they run a hackathon or not? They created a new contract with some suggestions from cryptocurrency community. Its there now. This is a community project. |

Because of chargebacks I think it is not a good idea to accept credit cards straight to the contract.
Then some way to buy ticket with Fiat(Which is turned to eth via some service). Then this could be marketed to people who have heard of cryptocurrencies but do not hold any or know how to buy them or store them. |

are there any dividend calculations yet? some examples? I will try to make an example dividend calculation, please correct me if I'm wrong.
in this example 100000 ether tokens are sold in the ico, the investor invested 1 ether and ticket sales for a period are 1000 ether.
total sold ico tokens: 100000 ether
owned ico tokens: 1 ether
ticket sales in a month: 1000 ether
owned ico tokens in percent: 0.001%
total dividend payout: 1000/100*5 = 50 ether
dividend payout for owned ico tokens: 50/100*0.001 = 0.0005 ether
is this calculation correct?
If this gets huge adoption from also outside of crypto world we could have ticket sales in a month: 20000 ETH In 2018 they should add a way to buy a ticket with credit card that would be going through challengy and straight to the contract. So everybody could play this lottery with a very low house edge. If 100000 ether gets sold then first jackpot is 90000 ETH + 1500 ETH from hackathon (90% from ICO) |

Smart contract is public, and it can veryfied. We don't need to provide the information about the development team when the product is ready and it will be validated.
Why not? 10 % for marketing + 0,25 % of sales but who will do the marketing and does that person know anything about marketing? People have to hear about the lottery in order for investors to make money. That's why it's important to know who is behind this. Also it doesn't look like you even have a basic website up about the lottery. Just an ICO site where you ask people for money, but not a demo of how it would work. Will there even be a website? Smart Contract is kinda a demo. You can play on it at the moment. I am sure they will have user interface ready soon. I am guessing they are starting with crypto related publications and ads and first because most of the people do not understand cryptocurrency yet. Hopefully if this gets popular they could have a service where they accept fiat which gets transferred into ETH automaticly and placed into a lottery. That way this would appeal to more people than just people who have cryptocurrency. This could be BIG. I will invest for sure. There is so much FUD, think how big stake you could be getting of it when not many people invest. Put probably many people will invest because this seems like a gem to me. |

I heard they will leave 1500 ETH into the lottery after hackathon. So lottery will have already 1500 ETH in jackpot fund plus ICO raised money. Sounds good

If this could be made so easy for non crypto persons to play this lottery, then this would be so big. Maybe try to partner up with someone from real life lottery industry and take him/her on board.
