81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: October 09, 2022, 09:32:29 AM
Everyone wants to have a big capital so even a small percent gain could worth by years of full-time work. Yeah, we all know about that but not everyone can afford a big capital to spend and invest. It's also very risky to put that amount into crypto which is volatile as hell. All come with proper risk management, potential gains and loss to balance how much you are willing to put in. Liquidity is also a thing as well. Anyway, don't expect crypto traders and investors put everything they own into crypto because of the big capital stuff. Even the most hardcore Bitcoin maximalists cash out occasionally.

How about the Arsenal vs Liverpool game? Bookmakers are giving roughly the same odds for both clubs, but still Arsenal are the minimum favourites for this match... By the way the odds are high - more than 2.5... Arsenal have not won Liverpool in 8 games in a row, but today they have the opportunity to fix it, because Liverpool are weak... But we can expect a draw...

You can correct your statement by saying that Liverpool is not performing upto the standard expected and not to say Liverpool team is weak. That team is not weak please, that is not how weak team behaves.
Arsenal's performance has been impressive from the start of the season, then from Liverpool's last 2 matches, you will discover that they are falling back into their original form. It will be a tough competition, I route for Liverpool if there will be any win.

Liverpool have won just two games, drawn four and lost one... They are now in the middle of the table with just 10 points and 13 points behind Man City... And Arsenal are 11 points ahead of Liverpool... That's what I would call Liverpool's weakness... It's not the same team that played in the Champions League final now... But I agree with you that it will be a serious fight to win tonight!
Liverpool is run out of gas, they show everyone they had persistent weaknesses from their shoddy defense line. While Arsenal has excessed everyone's expectations for them. A match between Liverpool vs Arsenal today so we'll see but I think Arsenal has the upper hand here. Not to mention about the game will be at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium. Interesting most betting sites gave both Liverpool and Arsenal the same odd.

It is really shocking indeed. G2 were the biggest surprise because they seemed to have made a big progress before this tournament started. However something started to went wrong suddenly. They couldn't even beat GamerLegion and I wouldn't expect this match to be their last in the tournament. Astralis have already been in a big trouble so I'm not too surprised. Their only win was against Eternal Fire which are another team saying goodbye to the tournament.

Maybe even Astralis might also make big changes in the team later. TSM are coming back to the game again so maybe they'd like to sign some of their old players back from Astralis for example.
G2 made some progress but it was not enough. Niko was the problem but 'no, let's just find a new igl', play for a couple of months and repeat the whole process. Never brought in the hooxi meme too. G2 fans called him gigachad and such. Stupid forced meme. And yeah, Astralis has been hit-and-miss, slowly going downhill for years.

To be fair, it's not like ASStralis and G2bots have been winning tournaments recently, the rankings should stay the same with the actual top teams with the winning mentality intact staying at the top of the list (Navi, Faze, Vitality, Liquid). If anything both astralis and g2 should've been outside of the top 10 a long time ago
Definitely out of the top 10 for Astralis after the next HLTV ranking update. m0nesy needs to get out of the G2 sinking ship fast and find a team that actually cares about going Major, not niko and his bitch.

But if they do go far, it is still good for CS. Better competition and maybe we see new strategies.
Agree. I saw this downfall of top-tier teams like G2 and Astralis as positive news. Give push for new orgs and teams to start their journey to CSGO pro, and new players bought up to the scene. No more old and stagnant. Maybe it sad a bit but this is better for the CSGo scene.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: The whole tipping culture in western countries is unfair and totally wrong! on: October 08, 2022, 08:27:32 AM
To be honest, if you know the things, you can't really blame the employee employed in the service business aka tipped employees. It was mainly because how US states allow minimum hourly wages for that service is very low. Heck, as low as $2.63 in Arkansas. This puts the employer aka business owner takes full use of it, by putting the burden to pay his employees on customers. Yes, when you go to a restaurant/service establishment, your tips are the main income for those people working at these, waiters/waitresses and even cooks. Link below if you want to check out, from state to state.
https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/state/minimum-wage/tipped

This makes the price on the menu become a false advertisement and so confusing since your tip is actually MANDATORY at 20%. Lower than that, you're being seemed as stealing the people's hard earn money at the day. The owner gave no fucks. This is what they want, to put the fight between employees and customers while prices on the menu are a placeholder. The whole US tipping culture is cancerous and I'm glad more and more businesses start to pay their employee in full instead. They just need to increase the cost of the dish to 20% to cover that. Employees expect to be professional at a certain level to earn their keep. And no chance you get spits in your food if you had a history of bad tipping. More people start to go to those places instead of 'tip but mandatory' craps.

It isn't like the tipping culture come to die. You can still tip if you want. This is more in line with how the rest of the world use tipping. $48.5 bill? Keep the charge from $50 since you're lovely. I think only US and Canada which mandatory tipping culture is still relevant. Other Anglo countries like Australia, New Zealand and UK don't have this shit. Same with the EU, Japan, SEA,... You can tip if you want but never mandatory. NEVER.

Chart of top 10 clubs with the most goals scored (left) and goals conceded (right) overall with respective big leagues season 2022/2023 in European.
Although Barcelona is only at the number 10 for having 24 goals scored and 5 goals conceded so far. But their rating would be around 24:5 = 4.8 which is really high, placed 2nd after Bayern Munich's rating of 32:6 = 5.3
What does this mean? It means Barcelona has a strong defense and the upcoming match with Inter on Oct 13 at Camp Nou is favored to Barcelona's side. Also funny that Barcelona (2nd) will meet Bayern Munich (1st) later this month too.

G2 and Astralis go to de_airport! G2 lost 1:2 to GamerLegion while Astralis lost 0:2 to forZe. Both with the final result 1:3 in the group and are eliminated from the next IEM RIO 2022 MAJOR! Could you believe it? Two giants of the CSGO, #5 and #8 of HLTV, with high-profile and top-tier star players, are now become a relic of the past.

Are we going to witness the new era of CSGO, with new faces and names, taking the top of the HLTV ranking? Or just a temporary lowest moment for the top teams?
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: no deposit bonuses. on: October 07, 2022, 07:18:04 PM
Nowadays, you don't see deposit bonuses for opening up a new account in exchange and making a deposit. Very unfeasible for CEX as the number of bots would take advantage of it and cheat even with KYC stuff. Typical would be a reference bonus where if that account makes a deposit or a trade worth at minimum xx dollars, you got money for reference bonus and maybe commission as well from their trading fee.

But I'm sure a deposit bonus is not the only thing you need to look out for when picking CEX. The security, privacy, CEX trading volume and how real it was would matter a lot more than just a bonus.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 07, 2022, 06:15:19 PM
At least Barcelona's strategy of always relying on Lewandowski has been read by many big clubs, Xavi must think harder to form a new strategy so that other attackers participate to score goals because Lewandowski has difficulty scoring goals when many opposing players are in charge of preventing him from getting the ball.
Your suggestion I think is also true because when many opposing players have been able to prevent Lewandowski from getting the ball, then it becomes an obstacle for Barcelona to score more goals because Barcelona rely more on Lewandowski in the striker line. So it's clear Xavi needs to change his tactics so his opponents can't read the movements of Barcelona's players in every game.

Barcelona's attack may now be more dependent on Lewandowski. Because he is the most experienced player in Barcelona's attack. But Dembele and Raphinha are talented enough. Even if Lewandowski doesn't play well in any match, Raphinha and Dembele have the ability to bring victory to Barcelona. But I agree with you that Xavi needs to develop an alternative strategy. If the team becomes too dependent on Lewandowski, they will face problems in the future.
Barcelona won't bet all Lewandowski to score a goal, they also can count on their defense line since it is quite strong to stalk enough time to wear Inter down. Enough to score at least 1 goal and they're even. Inter need to score 1 goal back at the Camp Nou stadium to make it to their advantage, as a guest. Else, it was Barcelona's Camp Nou so expect strong pressure from their fans there. What I worry about most is Serginho Dest from Inter. He has made many mistakes and he was Inter's defender. Watch this clip where he uses his hand and touches the ball without any thinking.

dupreeh has become the first CSGO pro player to pass the milestone of $2,000,000 prize earned from CSGO events. All thanks to his recently winning $200,000 with Vitality lineup at 1st in ESL Pro League. If you look at the pic below, you'll see how much the Astralis era gave the core Astralis lineup back then a hard boost over other players. I also see SK Gaming era, Liquid era, Faze era with the core like karrigan and rain while also the Navi era as well for s1mple and electronic.
91  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: October 07, 2022, 10:35:34 AM
Well, obviously if you've been in the market long enough, you know that in the downtrend and bear market, you'll likely be fucked twice as hard. That is why anyone who said they could earn a decent profit any day, any time from the market even when it was full of bears, they are a liar. So being a day trader/day trading at this time means you picked the worst possible route. Most traders don't get it but they were carried by when the market is in bull mode.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 07, 2022, 10:19:07 AM
Quote
The thing is, premiere league this season is full with unexpected actions and most clubs we thought where do well previously are currently lacking behind such as Liverpool who almost won the last season is battling to sustain 10th position this season . But Manchester City is still topping them all for now.

I think, Liverpool will get it right soon to recover from their losses in this season, because their coach is not happy about the poor performance they are experiencing in this season. Since Manchester city is still maintaining their first position in this season, I think Liverpool will definitely take over second position soon in this premier league competition, because their coach has introduced more strategies that will help them to start performing well in their remaining matches. Manchester city is in a good position to repeat what happened last season to happen again, because Manchester city still remain unbeatable in this season.
Any coach certainly doesn't want to see his team continue to sink with defeat, the coach will try to do his best to improve his team's performance. Klopp is working to return Liverpool to their original form, but so far Liverpool have not been able to show their best form. Being in 9th place with 10 points is not a good achievement for Liverpool, Klopp must restore the mentality of players to continue to get wins to return to the top four.
Liverpool is a sinking ship now. Even though the coach wants his team to be the best, envisions about how they should play but when the result of Liverpool recently all looked bad, Klopp knew his days are number now. If you have watched Liverpool matches, you'll understand that they have a poor list of players for a lousy lineup and strat. At best, Liverpool now should be looking for a new coach, get the mid-season transfer with some good players to patch up Liverpool, and hope for the best of not too far off place from the top 4.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: October 07, 2022, 10:02:46 AM
Perhaps of the many young entrepreneurs, only a few can really successfully run their businesses. They are the ones who can learn from anywhere to gain more knowledge and also often try trial and error in business so they can find the right formula for them. Each entrepreneur must have their own formula so that their business can run well and if they get a formula from someone else on how to run their business, they have to adapt it to their circumstances. It will be better because they can find what works for them and help them achieve success.
Its not undeniable that those who stay for long in the business whether it’s small scale or big time businesses have their own formula or strategy that makes them successful. That’s one thing that make them overcome all their struggles because they have a working strategy or formula that sustain the business profits. Otherwise, if they keep on failing, then it’s hard to see entrepreneurs last long in the business industry.
When the market is in recession, people tighten their wallets, slow days of business,... usually small-scale companies go first. It is not really that surprising, considering small-scale businesses typically don't have enough funds to operate at a net loss for a long. So you'll see downsizing, forced to close down for small-scale companies and niche businesses first, big one goes later. Tho, it was also a matter of cutting losses as small-scale ones don't have the potential to sell off themselves to investors like big-scale ones.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: October 07, 2022, 09:46:08 AM
The big problem is we are not indeed! We tend to be one, but once we step our fit inside gambling, we mostly forget our plans and goals. Either we get tempted in trying to win more or to recover our losses instead of sticking with our plans. If only gamblers can really manage this part of their activities, it might lessen the chance of losing big, but reality wise and why we keep seeing more and more casinos being open from time to time.

Casino owner knows how to play with the emotions and once they've been in control, they can easily make more money with the business.

Not know how to control is the key factor why casino is keep collecting more paycheck from the gamblers.
Many gamblers sometimes try to return the capital they have lost by making more deposits but still lose and don't get a win so that without them realizing it when they don't have anything, even the money they have spent on gambling is too much and ends up making a lot of money. their mentality fell.

Casino owners usually give instructions to their developer programmers to provide high curiosity with a small winning presentation that makes gamblers more addicted.
Some gamblers can't control their money or accept their loss. I saw most pro gamblers have this kind of principle where they won't gamble more than XX amount in one game, no matter what. In too many cases, people gamble with money they can't afford, willing to take a debt to make back their loss in the previous gambles, on the silver lining of luck to win in the next games.
It's the same in every section. Poor ability to control your money, easy to comfort yourself to the least possible scenario.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 07, 2022, 09:28:11 AM
The Barcelona vs Celta Vigo match clearly requires Xavi to target bigger points if they don't want to be placed easily behind Madrid. The difference in points they have is not a safe position. But regardless of Barcelona's current condition, the lack of it is a bit of an obstacle in the Champions League, but the players must not keep them focused on La Liga and continue to focus on the second position.

Barcelona is unlikely to drop points against Celta Vigo. Celta Vigo's performance is not strong. Their achievement is only 10 points in 7 matches. They have won three out of seven matches. At the same time, Celta Vigo's defense is very weak. They conceded 13 goals in 7 matches. And against a weak defense this season, Barcelona's players have been playing well and have been able to score a lot of goals. Moreover, the match will be held at Camp Nou. Barcelona is stronger in home matches. And so I think Xavi will not make any mistakes in this match. And Barcelona will easily earn full points. And Barcelona will win by more than 2 goals.
Maybe with just one goal, enough to secure 3 points hold back to reserve Barcelona's squad. They've lost to Inter 0-1 and definitely want to rematch with a better chance this time. Mean they need the best of their players in the upcoming match after the meet with Celta Vigo. It'll be the same with Barcelona vs Mallorca which Barcelona also scored only 1 goal, doing just enough to keep their players for important matches with Inter and Real Madrid later on.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 04, 2022, 10:46:20 AM
No amount of advantages or benefits that experts estimate are worth the hard-cold fact this Qatar World Cup cost more than 200 billion dollars so far. Can the 1.2 million visitors or $17 billion in revenue from everything together pay off the 200 billion dollars cost? Nope, no matter how much those experts want to spin.

You know, that's fine with Qatar too cause I said many times, they don't give a fuck about profit. This World Cup is held in their county as a huge ego-tripping to show off to the world how rich they're. How much money they could waste cause they're from the OPEC+ club. They'll get back the money by selling their oils to you, at a higher price, of course. The energy crisis might be damned and they laughed at your face since you're the one financial their lavish spending in this World Cup.

Can't put it any better than this. LNG is the main export from Qatar and the prices have go up by 10x to 20x compared to 2021 levels. Qatar will be earning hundreds of billions of USD in profit this year. And that is the reason why they don't give a fuck to all those complaints about human rights abuses, restrictions on tourists and discrimination against LGBTs. They will treat visitors and fans the same way as some rich man treats beggars on street. And the vast majority of the visitors won't be having a problem with that.
Yeah, and that is where it bugs me off. I don't know, maybe I've become jaded after seeing so many things past few years. From the covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the world economy in recession,... When I look at the World Cup in Qatar, I can not see it as a normal soccer game anymore. Or free from political stuff that we used to say sports remove the barrier and bring people all around the world together. All the 'noise' behind it, the ugly at how it has become.

Some posts earlier talked about: What are we going to do about it? There is nothing we could do. Cause no amount of boycott worth jack shit as Qatar doesn't care about profit. So what? Might just come to the acceptance phase and just enjoy it? Hell no.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term investing - Spot, Margin or Derivatives? on: October 04, 2022, 10:30:16 AM
If you want to maximize your gains over a long time of holding, sure Margin or Derivatives is there for you. But as always, they're very risky and if you approach the market at the wrong angle, your loss will be much higher than just a simple Spot investment. To be honest, I think it's really up to you, to see if the gains are worth the risk or not. In my opinion, a long-term period of time in crypto is very hard to predict, too variable. Margin or Derivatives should be on the short-term investment, as long as you see a nice enough gain and profit, get out. Spot is more for the long term cause you ain't at risk if you keep holding it, as long as you've invested in a good altcoin or ETH and BTC.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 04, 2022, 10:11:24 AM
I don't think, Real Madrid will be the champion in this tournament because they found it difficult to defeat  Ossasuna in their last match that made mighty Benzema to loss penalty.
Lol, just because Real Madrid failed to win against Osasuna you excluded Real Madrid from one of the favorite teams to champion. A draw with Osasuna is not a bad result for Real Madrid, I don't think you expect Real Madrid to win every game, obviously that is impossible for any team. A draw is not the end for Real Madrid, they are still on the right track. Real Madrid is still one of the favorite teams for champions this season, they are still able to compete at the top because Real Madrid points are still the same as those collected by Barcelona.
Remind me Real Madrid meet with Barcelona soon. A draw with Osasuna beforehand might just the way Real Madrid trying to keep their form or reserve their players from injury. Get 1 point from a draw with Osasuna but they'll have more chance to stand against Barcelona. Especially Barcelona is in a very tight schedule right now, a real chance for Real Madrid there to have a win. Also, some people just don't get it, lose or draw a few matches and to them, the sky is falling, no chance for the La Liga cup of this season.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 04, 2022, 09:43:57 AM
I don't know anything about the financial situation in Mexico, but I don't believe that Mexico isn't a worst financial condition than El Salvador or Venezuela. I also don't think that the Mexicans are so desperate that they would embrace Bitcoin/altcoins right away.
What people forget is that adopting bitcoin as legal tender doesn't mean people are going to embrace bitcoin or for their economy to improve right away. It's all about building the ground work and the infrastructure needed for an easier adoption over the long term. You can't expect a revolution overnight.
Agree, dont get it why some people thought that you only using or adopting Bitcoin at a desperate time, economy being in a tight spot. I even see Mexico should've adopted Bitcoin sooner cause the number of remittances from Chicano living in the US was a lot. Especially some of them might not have all the proper paper to get their hard-earn money back to their family in Mexico through legal means.

Though, there are always two sides of the same coin. For once, Bitcoin solves the problem above but drug cartels, human trafficking gangs could also benefit from it. They could hide their money rail easier by using Bitcoin and you know how they said 'follow the money trail' to burst criminal activity. Still on the fence about this news.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 04, 2022, 09:20:39 AM
Maddison is the man of the match with two incredible goals and assists. His performance weigh down their opponents in the king power stadium, and the fans are cheering for their first win of the season, not an easy one for the Foxes boss, Brendan Rodgers glad that his team are gradually getting back to their form after a long waited winning points. For the victims, Nottingham Forest looks to be heading back the championship and Jesse Lingard failed to make a good impact in the game after Nottingham failed to net a single goal with throwing away several scoring chances.

There is nothing that differentiates the performance of Leicester City from Nottingham Forest, they are just neighbours around the table who have conceded 6 goals from different teams, drawn one, and won one. They still have a long way to go before they can escape the relegation zone, and with the way the league heating up and approaching the halfway point, things are getting tough from all angles.
Leicester City didn't sign any players before the start of the season, which may be why they have had difficulties, but if they can maintain up this way until January, Brendan should make a transfer request for new players during that window.
Yeah, I think of all the three clubs in the relegation zone, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton, it was Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest trying their best. For example, early in the season, Wolverhampton bought and signed a lot of new players into their squad. I think it was worth a total of over £100,000,000. While Nottingham Forest signed at least 20 new players to their squad, some estimate around £170,000,000. Both are an insane amount of shuffle in their clubs. They might now get good results instantly, but overall during the season, they'll slowly improve.
