myetherwallet is safe if you hold your private key somewhere that you're the only one to to know where you could hide it either online or offline,
i never heard someone got hacked their etherwallet but rather just losing the private key is the problem they mostly experienced,
The chances of it being hack is very small due to its changing address.

and many more. you should be specific on what altcoin are you looking too, for you to make sure

hoping that some of altcoins may be like bitcoin someday it terms hype price and 2nd looking forward on some altcoins good long term project.

i guess bitcoin will $7,000 this week as the demands and popularity increased it encourage more mostly young professional to invest..

The advantages of bitcoin for me is:
- Faster payment option to those who are accepting bitcoin as payment method
- it gives job to the jobless
- safe assets because of it's digital currency you don't have to carry it with you all the time.
- you can earn extra income thru bitcoin in many ways.

you can predict price of bitcoin by looking at the chart of the graph of bitcoin example USD/BTC you may see the graph and you can study the graph and speculate the outcome by it's trend etc. you may want to visit some trading site to see the graph of bitcoin.

a hardfork in laymans term basically is an upgrade of the blockchain software that causes a split of chain just like what happened in bitcoincash, on the contrary a soft fork is also an upgrade of the software but it does not split the chain it only enhance the speed of the transaction process.

lets face it bitcoin cant have it all bitcoin needs altcoin to support the growing demand of cryptocurrencies, wether it be a free money schem or a pump and dump schem or legit one because of the growing demand maintreams people will still get a chunk out those altcoins. just my cent
