81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: October 15, 2018, 10:13:38 PM
It is necessary for people to know what they are doing and why they are doing it. It is true that the fake news have reduced drastically but that doesn't mean that we can't witness yet another round of it. Standing up for what you believe in is what will keep you going at all times.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has 54% of the cryptocurrency market on: October 11, 2018, 09:24:04 PM
I often wonder when some people say that some coins will overtake bitcoin or that bitcoin will die. Do they know market share, the community size and level of adoption. No other coin can boast of achieving this. If you think that bitcoin is dead, do have a rethink.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New type of scammers in telegram! Keep your bitcoins safe! Watch out! on: October 11, 2018, 09:10:08 PM
This is about the cheapest scam you can come across on telegram and unless there is something wrong, you are not expected to fall for this. People get added to several telegram groups without their consent. While some of this may be good, some are pure scam. Learn to leave scam group immediately you noticed.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new phenomenal innovation on: October 11, 2018, 06:14:11 PM
I consider bitcoin as new phenomenal innovation over fiat currencies. Fiat currency has done its best but has not been able to terminate the enormous challenges faced by the people in the area of speed, barrier, intermediary etc. Fiat currency as done its best. Cryptocurrency is the next.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we Re-Brand Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2018, 05:41:19 PM
I don't think rebranding bitcoin is necessary. Bitcoin is already a brand name or a household name. So many cryptocurrencies have been named after it. All we need to do is to see how more merchants can adopt bitcoin for payments. We also need to increase the level of awareness.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines Deports Mastermind of $33 Million Bitcoin Pyramid Scheme on: October 11, 2018, 05:26:15 PM
While regulations can prevent potential investors from loosing their money, it is anti decentralization. It is high time people saw pyramid schemes as scam and desist from investing into it. I hope the government of the Philippines will make sure that these masterminds are punished.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshis' absence make bitcoin truly decentralized? on: October 11, 2018, 05:00:22 PM
One of Satoshi's reason for creating bitcoin is decentralization. I believe that bitcoin will remain truly decentralized regardless of whether he is around or not. His presence may even be enough to take bitcoin to a higher level earlier than anyone can imagine.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What stage of adoption is Crypto currently at? on: October 11, 2018, 02:09:32 PM
We have witnessed a tremendous increase in the use of bitcoin for payments. Merchants are signing up regularly but not yet up to the level where everyone can pay for goods at all merchants location. I am sure that by the time the lightning network is functional, many more merchants will sign up.

93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Asking stores do they accept bitcoin on: October 10, 2018, 01:56:41 PM
It is okay to ask you the stores but boring them with same question may sound ridiculous. There are a lot of factors responsible for the limited number of merchants accepting bitcoin today. I am sure that merchants accepting bitcoin will increase as bitcoin users skyrocket.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: What manipulators want on: October 09, 2018, 12:34:22 PM
This is exactly the scenario that has been playing out for long. We saw this with the last all time high price of bitcoin and how the people who rushed in quickly dumped their bitcoin and rushed out. People are getting wise everyday and manipulators are no longer finding it as easy as it used to be.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Evolution of money from barter system to crypto currency on: October 09, 2018, 12:27:04 PM
This evolution is what makes it so certain that the fiat currencies will vanish some day. People are definitely going to get tired of it as it will no longer be capable of solving all their financial need in terms of speed, volume etc. It is high time people got used to cryptocurrencies.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: October 09, 2018, 12:21:04 PM
Please don't forget that it is also very reasonable to have a plan B. You cannot determine the stability of the establishment you work for, therefore you can still be fired if the company is experiencing some kind of crises even if you are doing your job well. Plan your time very well.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problems cryptocurrency will face in the near future? on: October 09, 2018, 11:52:49 AM
I think the major problem that the cryptocurrency world will face in years to come is scam and hacking. So many new users are going to join cryptocurrency as adoption grow and majority of them will be vulnerable to various degree of scam and hacking. I think the cryptocurrency world can rise up and address this.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just got a little extra money and want to invest in crypto, should I? on: October 09, 2018, 09:52:49 AM
I noted that you said you intend to invest your extra money. This is spare money and it is the best for cryptocurrency investment. Bitcoin may not go cheaper than it is presently so you can seize the opportunity to buy the little you can afford.
