81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: governments vs altcoins on: June 10, 2019, 11:04:43 AM
I think the governments' concern about altcoins is regarding scams, frauds, and money laundering. These are the primary concerns. The point you had stated is only secondary to these. Banking systems and cryptocurrency systems may exist side by side with exlcusive functions and overlapping functions.
Governments are unhappy with the presence of a large number of scams in crypto just because it is uncontrollable money, from which taxes are not received. In this sense, all crypto may be unacceptable to governments.
Banks under control. If the cryptocurrency is under control, then no one will object. I think that right now technical capabilities are being developed for control cryptocurrencies (even truly decentralized ones).
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS Price Prediction 2019 on: June 10, 2019, 10:53:03 AM
Coin, of course, will live. The coin will be able to reach the price +10, due to the growth of bitcoin. But what should happen so that they can reach + 60% of ethereum's capitalization is difficult to imagine. Most likely, binance coin can do it faster (already catching up with EOS) than EOS.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NPXS] pundi x moon or doom ? on: June 09, 2019, 01:14:50 PM
So, the game of airdrops has just ended. What do you think it will happen int he next months with npxs ?
I waited a long time for the end of this inflation. Now converting to f (x) will help a bit with decreasing the number of tokens. In the coming months, I do not think that we can expect large price moves...perhaps even before they completely switch to their own blockchain.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Give up in crypto (my experience) on: June 09, 2019, 12:59:21 PM
Nice story this will encourage to newbies that they should have patient to hold if they want to earn profit from cryptocurrency, but should pick the potential one so that they surely can make profit.
HYPE is strong nowadays after BTC testing the upper levels of the last correction from all time high. Cryptocurrencies are volatile, so there is no need to rush things. Beginners want to get rich overnight with a single trade but there is no holy secret except HODL.
I do not think holding is a panacea. Many people for 2018 have lost a lot. Many of them are unlikely to return their losses. To have a profit, you need to keep abreast, to move your funds from one asset to another. The OP did not write anything concrete, but it seems he is an active investor|trader. This is not just HODL.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook's Libra - Implications. on: June 08, 2019, 01:17:22 PM
As far as I know, they hired four people from Chainpace. They conduct research on the use of the blockchain for Facebook. More definite information will have to wait. Yes, we can quite accurately assume it will be a hype coin.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Almost all the altcoins in red again! on: June 08, 2019, 12:35:04 PM
___________________________________
During the red market and FUD, a good solution is to buy coins that have fallen stronger than other coins, then there is a chance during the green market, in a few days to make a profit of 5%-10%, in some cases higher.
During the growth of BTC this year, many altcoins are greatly cheaper. If you follow such trading tactic, you can fall into the trap and wait 5-10% for a long time. To reduce the risk of such problems, you need to use additional signals to buy. TA, news can be good for this.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No knowledge is lost. on: June 08, 2019, 12:20:15 PM
Please my fellow crypto friends I need answers badly about ICO and none ICO projects . my question to you all is
Why are projects with NO ICO always do better than the ones who were actually funded from ICO ? Projects with no funds or whatso ever should be the ones facing what ICO projects are facing excluding scams ones
Because these projects have excellently built products and bring real value. They have the money available to list on the exchanges, and they have big investors who can help the project reach many new investors. Therefore, these projects do not implement ICO but always have a higher level of development than the ICO projects.
I don't think that's the point. Most likely, the matter is in the honesty of the creators of the project.
ICO was organized by Ethereum. Bitcoin started without all this. The people who created the first crypto coins had / have other priorities in life. People who are now creating coins, want money, nothing more.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to know whales are accumulating coins? on: June 03, 2019, 11:51:40 AM
how to know whales are accumulating coins?
by chart or?

My idea is that you can know that by visiting exchanges. A huge order for buy can indicate that. I'm thinking this is one possible and simple way that can be detected.
Oh, if everything was so simple!
In the market you will very rarely see a true big order. Major players do not want to disclose their intentions. Moreover, they make efforts to hide their intentions.
We can only with some probability determine what they are going to do. The answer in one message on the forum will not be complete. Entire books have been written about it.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: next alt coin to rocket on: June 03, 2019, 11:39:12 AM
I have one dollar, I urgently need a million for tomorrow. Quickly give me a token, coin, HYIP, roulette, bookmaker, so that I can invest my dollar as soon as possible. And I have a barn and a bare ass. By evening, I want a blonde with a bust of the fourth size in a de luxe suite with a 1.5 liter of the 19th century Madeira. Grin Grin Grin

This is not the first such topic. These OPs are so sweet for scammers.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Benefits in cryptocurrency trading. on: June 03, 2019, 11:14:37 AM
if the market is bullish crypto trading is profitable we can book daily profits with a limited number of traders if the market turns bearish some of the coins may get blocked in market dump so balancing is the art of trading
Yes, in the growing cryptocurrency market it is easy to make a profit. Unlike the stock market, in the fall of the crypto market, making money is very difficult. In this case, it is not possible to play short. Liquidity becomes very low, and there is just no one to sell.
I think it will take years, maybe decades, before additional technical opportunities appear for trading on the crypto market.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4new/Kwatt coin Price speculation! on: June 02, 2019, 06:06:02 AM
I am watching this asset. Dump with interruptions to the pumps. However, many assets have a similar chart. We will give this project some trust and see what will change in the future.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: June 01, 2019, 04:45:09 AM
............................................
Speaking of this, I've found out another cryptocurrency which lets you stake without running your wallet 24/7. It's named "Stakenet" with a consensus algorithm called TPoS allowing you to earn from stakes by "lending" your coins to another node on the network. This approach is safe, since your private keys are never exposed. You would be earning coins over time, without having to maintain or administer your wallet (like it's the case with NEO). Also, the cryptocurrency's team have been running a cloud staking service which currently supports Stakenet (XSN), as well as, PIVX and Stratis. Check it out here: https://cloud.stakenet.io
...........................................
There is another option for the LPOS algorithm. This is an EDC coinmarketcap.com/currencies/edc-blockchain/. The problem of distrust of POS coins remains, and in the case of LPOS this problem is even more acute. Nevertheless, the opportunity to make a profit without opening the wallet is provided.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC halving....then btc halving but....... on: June 01, 2019, 04:32:53 AM
are there any other coins that have a halving coming or who just have halvings like ltc and btc?
LTC halving is pretty new to me. I know BTC halved to BCH, but not too sure if LTC also halved. Maybe Ethereum will halve too in future to Constantinople.
You referred to fork, fork and halving are two different things. Right now, the block reward for btc is 12.5 BTC per block and it will be reduced 6.25 BTC in 2020. That's what halving is.
OP, I am interested in one PoS coin, namely DeepOnion. The stake reward for the first year was 10%, which has now turned to 5% this year. After this July, it will be 1% stake reward only. Getting ONION will be harder than ever.
This is the maximum possible reward. In fact, it will be even less. But there is a definite positive sign: there are no significant sales from miners.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna phase out very soon? on: May 31, 2019, 12:58:39 PM
Definitely icos are going to phase out soon. It's just a matter of time.  IEO's as increased the degree of trust users have for projects. Also IEO as solved the issue of kycs too. Now investors can invest knowing that the token/coin is definitely going to be listed.
These are IEO and STO, which may be prohibited, as they depend on a third party. Nobody forbids scammers (for example) to organize ICO. Of course, ICO will not be as massive as in 2017-2018. But it will be for a long time.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market is still Green this month. What do you think? on: May 31, 2019, 12:50:19 PM
You think so?
Cryptocurrencies have not yet get mass adoption in the world. But within a couple months the price of bitcoin, ethereum and some other coins increased significantly. The reason is in speculative actions of already existing market participants. When new members come with new money, you will immediately understand this.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What particular project works on the totality of the blockchain ecosystem? on: May 30, 2019, 08:12:52 AM
We can also recall Cardano, NEO, NEM.
All these projects survived their hype. While there is no significant progress, as they are hostages of the market.
Currently the most influential project is Binance. Who knows, maybe this one will compete with Ethereum in the foreseeable future.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is nobody talking about Iota? on: May 30, 2019, 08:01:37 AM
Like most projects, including good ones, IOTA has not yet reached maturity. In addition, the crypto industry as a whole is also very young. There is no correct and professional assessment of crypto projects. In 2017, any startup was sold out, which mentioned blockchain and cryptocurrency. And it can happen again.
When people will learn to distinguish good projects from other ones, MIOTA will be appreciated, I think it is highly appreciated.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Seeding Ransomware via Bitcoin and Ether Giveaways on: May 30, 2019, 07:33:38 AM
This is a good sign. If scammers are active, then they believe that the hype is growing. And in this they can be trusted Grin.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand the economic incentives of Ethereum 2.0? on: May 29, 2019, 09:41:35 AM
Ethereum 2.0 adopts the pos consensus mechanism. How does it motivate people to pledge tokens and how to ensure the security of the network? What is the appropriate issue rate? What do you think about the economics of Ethereum 2.0?
Ethereum 2.0 pos consensus mechanism related to the Hybrid Casper FFG. that consensus will not eliminate the miners but that will create a hybrid consensus miners are still needed but POS mechanism will create some emission to be distributed to the ethereum stakers. Miners still active to help POS system to secure the network. But it's still on the discussion by ether dev. The final block reward for miners will be 0.5 eth.
If this is true for all miners, then this will kill the PoW. Hustling with the maintenance of hardware, paying for electricity - all this does not look so profitable compared to the PoS ethereum. Wouldn't it be better to sell hardware, buy coins, and save a PoS wallet? Maybe I do not understand something. Explain, please.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOES IEO PROTECT BOUNTY HUNTERS ? on: May 29, 2019, 09:16:47 AM
It largely depends on the exchanges that made the listing of the new asset on the IEO. In addition, payments to bounty hunters can be made when the volume of trades of a new asset decreases (all interested investors have acquired it). In this case, the sale of rewards will cause a dump.
Thus, there are no guarantees to immediately sell the at a good price.
