Prospero X-1
This month we have manufactured and have shipped Prospero X-1 miners and during the latest shipments they included LCD, touchscreen and WIFI.
Because of manufacturing issues we have not been able to clear all X1 orders yet but we're working hard to clear all queue in the following weeks.
Prospero X-2
Has been put on hold due to lack of human resources.
Prospero X-3
First units have been shipped to our resellers 3 weeks ago for testing. However, this showed that the inductor heatsinks were not stable and hashboards can get out of the socket during transportation. It took us 1 week to fix these issues. Since last week we have begun shipping of X3s and now we are ramping up assembly and shipping.
Rent-A-Minion
Will start in the following few days.
Compensation
We are working on a new design in an attempt to lower the BOM and increase the compensation offered. This design is almost finished and we plan to manufacture the prototype in the following days.
ASIC exchange plan
We are increasing the number of ASICs offered to our loyal customers who wish to exchange their order to Minion ASICs:
-Each X3 preorder can be exchanged for 120 Minion ASICS
-Each X1 preorder can be exchanged for 7 Minion ASICs
-Each $45 paid for Rent-A-Minion service can be exchanged for 1 ASIC
Note that customers who choose to exchange their orders for ASICs forfeit the compensation announced previously.
82  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: GHASH.IO vs ELIGIUS.ST on: August 02, 2014, 11:56:27 PM

GHash.io is a threat to bitcoin.  No single pool should be allowed to get too large.
Eligius is great.  I would donate if you like it, they cannot run for free.  I put 1% to support a good pool.  Thats like not even $10/month for most of us.

Is there any way to create a signature and change your settings if you are using a blockchain wallet. I am sure many people have a hard time with this. Any help you can give is appreciated.

Its very easy, here is the button you click to do it

Let me know if you need more help
84  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy]12 KNCminer Jupiter's 15 Sold [Closed] Jupiter Pool on: August 02, 2014, 05:07:24 AM
Hi John.  We have been fighting to try to get a response out of Soniq (Larry Strawson).  He has cheated the community out of thousands of dollars.  He sold the cointerra units and is not responding any further to our requests in this thread.  Can you please provide me his information so that we may follow up with litigation against him?

If you are able to get a response from him, we would prefer that, and to receive our money, rather than to proceed with lawsuits against Larry.

Thanks

He probably ripped off the buyers too.

Let's not assume.  Let's find out.

How to find a p2pool public node with low ping

I found that I could get a good DOA (dead on arrival) rate, by finding a node with a good ping.
Several nodes close to me with low DOA rate by sorting by lowest ping.

Here is a list of public nodes
http://p2pool-nodes.info/

Using this windows tool here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/multiple_ping_tool.html (direct download: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/pinginfoview.zip),
you can quickly and effectively ping a large number of these and sort by lowest ping.

Note: a low ping doesn't necessarily mean low DOA rate, but you are more likely to find it this way.

Here is a list of the nodes as of July that you can paste into pingInfoView (needs to be refreshed with current list)

Thats all folks

Who bought these devices?
Can we find the buyers and see if they can confirm they sent payment?

Wizkid, I'm a small donator and miner on your pool and curious about a few things.

1. How much does it cost you to run the servers for Eligius?
2. Are these costs covered by the donations?

if NO to 2, how do you plan to keep this service running sustainability in the long run?

Ok, I have received that shit ( Prospero X-1) Is there any coin profitable to mine with it? Or should I sell it

I'd like to propose a bounty to fix the p2pool issue on the neptune.  Who's with me?

Hey BA, I am not engineer (then again neither are any of you), but at last count just the people who have posted in the last 12 hours total more than 5 as per your post, and everyone single one of them is unhappy and want their money back.  The only justification for that is that your product is crap.

Not every single one of us wants a refund as you so claim, and whether their products are "crap" is not proven yet.  I reserve judgement for when I actually receive the X-3 unit.

92  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 30, 2014, 04:32:56 AM

As we announced yesterday, we discovered an issue with the power chip controller which has delayed us a little bit.

Can I ask, how about the customers who do not frequent this forum? Don't they also deserve an update?
Is it too much to ask for these updates to be posted on your web site?  Wouldn't this be more fair to all customers to know what is going on, not only bitcointalk.org users?

What is the new estimate for shipping now that this power chip controller issue has been discovered?
93  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 29, 2014, 08:12:06 PM

Why would you send it back again?  You said I dont need it, which is why I am asking if I can be refunded for it

Your X1/X3 requires a PSU which was included in your initial purchase. If you've already bought another PSU we can arrange to send you a miner without PSU and you can plug in the one that you already have. Doing this will get you the money back for the PSU and will not have to pay for shipping to return the PSU.

Okay thats great. thanks
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 29, 2014, 08:05:22 PM
You have already sent me the PSUs here in Canada.
Can I send it back for a refund?

I'm not aware of your exact order details in to give you a definite answer but I do not see why we would not accept it back. Please contact our customer support.

However, you would need to pay for the shipping, just to be send back again to you with your miner.

95  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 29, 2014, 07:56:11 PM

How about those of us who have already purchased PSUs?  Should we send it back?

If you have purchased the PSU just for compensation and you would prefer to use other type of PSU for the compensation miners, please ask our customer support not to send you the PSU with your miner. We will then be able to refund you the PSU cost.

Regards!

You have already sent me the PSUs here in Canada.
Can I send it back for a refund?

Thanks

96  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 29, 2014, 07:50:27 PM

No, please do not purchase PSUs. We are working a cheaper design in order to be able to provide higher compensation. This new design will use any ATX PSU.

Regards!

How about those of us who have already purchased and received our compensation PSUs?  Should we send it back?
97  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 29, 2014, 07:34:05 PM

We have always been upfront and never lied to our customers. We always kept them up to date with what is going on.

BlackArrow, not one single update posted since July 6th.  You call this keeping customers up to date??
98  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [600 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: July 29, 2014, 12:20:58 PM
Have a yarn to -ck he could explain what's going on there with your Neptune. He probably has one.
I do not, they only sent me a Saturn originally and I've not heard from them since and know basically nothing about the Neptune.

Shall I send you mine? :-D
99  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [600 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: July 28, 2014, 11:11:08 PM
Initial tests seem to indicate that KnCMiner Neptune firmware neptune-1.00 (but probably NOT the Jupiter/Saturn) has issues running on p2pool.  It looks like its losing about 14% of my hashrate for some reason

Here it is running for 9 hours on p2pool, Current firmware revision: neptune-1.00 (cgminer 4.4.1)

Hashrate on non-p2pool pool now shows 2.862 THs average over about 1 hour

I think its pretty safe to confirm that there is an issue with the Neptune and p2pool.  I have a few different public nodes and this lower hashrate was pretty much consistent.

If there is a fix for this, i will gladly jump back onto p2pool

I am going to open a support ticket with kncminer as well

I confirmed my Jupiter and Saturn are working well on p2pool and reporting accurate hashrate.  I am trying Neptune on eligius for half a day  and will report back.
