As a comunity what about help to ARG, to get out from that high diff? It would not take much time, if we manage to get ~30MH/s there for hour or two...

No, i have got only ~12 ARG
So multipool can jump on the coin again?

Damn, you are right. So what can we do with this multipool. Comunity DDoS? :-)

We could use some hashrate  Wink

multipool.in are responsible for most of that. Read the ARG thread if you want to know more about the problem.

It is in ARG Announce thread?

Isn't the whole point of using decentralized computing power to pool resources for the common good? To defend against the powerful by uniting the rest? To secure transaction processing by building a network of individuals?

The point of crypto-currency is to defend. That's how it is built. That's how it is succeeding. Growth, community building, and dedication are the ways to defend.

There are no magical answers, that's why all coins have the same one. The community is stronger than the attacker. That is the only defence P2P has and the reason for its existence.

That is good for me  Wink

Now, can you tell me what that sudden growth of network hashrate mean? I mean, it seems to me, for last 3 day or so, that every time, before difficulty adjusment, there is a 100%+ grow in network hashrate  (from ~800 to ~1600 Mh/s) , then after hour or so, it drops back where it was before. It seems to me like someone wants to keep difficulty higher. But it is 800Mh/s of hashrate, who has that?! But it does not seems to be sudden interest of miners and current profitability of DGC. I am starting to be paranoid  Roll Eyes

Someone will attack the coin in one way or another just to create problems.

Are there preparations in place for this ?

Who? The cost of successfully attacking the coin is rising constantly. Anyone with so much power can just mine it and profit much more. Who throws away large profits just to create problems?

@disclaimer201

If the incentive is money, mining DGC would be much more profitable. And if they had that much hash power, it would make more sense.

Also, the idea of a successful LTC pool owner ruining his own reputation and destroying his pool by using his members for what is the equivalent of tools doesn't seem very likely.

Why are you still questioning who will do that and what will be the motivation behind it? Anyone with resources can do that. For fun, for money, for revange, because he is bored, unstable or insane, or on the other hand, perfectly self aware. It is irrelevant who and why will do that. Right question is - Can he do that? If so, how to prevent it?

That might be it, i have 2276 transactions
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant \ Stable \ Reliable | Usable for Purchases on: July 12, 2013, 11:23:48 AM
Is there a maximum amount of DGC I can sent in one transaction?

That would depend on the structure of your wallet and how much memory you have. No hard coded limit exists though.

Hm i want to sent 7k DGC but i get error message "Error: Failed to create transaction" (Something like that, its translated to english...) I have got 8gb of memory. How is memory related to this?

Is there any new info about DGC going to BTC-e?

I have never thought an alt coin other than LTC would be interesting until now! This looks like its got something going for it. Any going free? Tongue

Did anyone else noticed that Network hashrate is around 380Mh/s Huh I remember that few days ago it was around 800Mh/s...
Did miners lost trust into DGC?

I think the answer is growing price of LTC https://www.litecoinpool.org/charts thus growing LTC network hashrate. Many miners are curenttly mining LTC, because it is expected to be on Mt.Gox soon - another price growing so everyone wants as many as possible.

So no, I think it has nothing to do with trust in DGC.

Added coins-e to the exchange list.

Is there any DGC related project, you are currently working on?

hmm DGC hasn't been able to break 0.0004 BTC for a while now, hoping it does get back up there.

Like a breeze

Are there currently any DGC projects/services under development?

Well, not for me, but i am sure it does for someone

I am trying to mine solo but so far no success. I mined solo for almost 2 hour and i have found nothing. That i mine 1.5 hour on a pool and i found 5 block, after that i mine solo again and i have found nothing in a hour. How should conf file for solo mining looks like?

This is my current conf file:
Quote
rpcuser=Xmansk
rpcpassword=supersecretpassword
rpcport=13581
server=1
addnode=174.111.237.246
addnode=5.135.161.23
addnode=71.187.248.95
addnode=24.138.46.123

and my cgminer settings:
Quote
cgminer --scrypt -o 127.0.0.1:13581 -u Xmansk -p supersecretpassword -o 5.135.161.23:3335 -u Xmansk -p supersecretpassword -o swmining.mine.nu:3338 -u Xmansk -p supersecretpassword --gpu-vddc 1.05,1.05,1.05,1.04 --gpu-memclock 1470,1470,1470,1375 --gpu-engine 1045,1045,1045,1010 -Q 0 -E 2 -s 1 -I 20,20,20,13 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-fan 90 --temp-cutoff 85

What am i doing bad?

Probably nothing wrong.  I mined solo for 4 hours on 5MH/s and found nothing so I gave up.  That's why I've been buying...   Grin
Maybe I should try the pool.

-tb-

I dont believe it's just bad luck, I am lucky enough  Tongue
