I own bestofbitcoin.com
lets do this.
How many goddamn bitcoin sites do you have? Please send me a detailed list so I can register the "buttcoin" versions of them, thanks. I am currently buying bestofbuttcoin.com as well. Actually since you were too slow in registering that, I now own that as well.

The problem is not that the computer is going to act like a stove and start the cardboard on fire via heat transfer, but that if the computer happens to catch on fire, it's going to spread easily via the cardboard.
Take it from someone who's seen a lot of bitcoin mining accidents in his day.

I don't have those type of whois history tools that are pricey to use. - http://dnshistory.org/browsedomains/bitcoin.com. nameservers: linode.com. (e.g., ns1.linode.com) As far as registrar, sorry -- I don't know of anywhere that was recorded. ahh thanks, didn't know you could get free dns history, some of the other records cost a lot to access. Well, we may have a sale on our hands, unless they just happened to feel like re-hosting an unused site.

Thank you. That makes sense then. I was off by the ratio of BTC:USD.
Hey, sorry, don't want you to get that impression. bitcoincharts.com is what I use for easy reference. Never seen TradeHill even get close to mtgox. I just felt let down when I thought you might have a point in the OP and then I checked stats and they were nothing out of the ordinary. It made it seem like you were a TradeHill shill or whatever. Again, my bad.

Hey thanks, an interesting thread there btw. satoshi posting, and hints of the trademark and .com/.org problems that have happened now. But I didn't see what I'm looking for, which is the registrar (not registrant), currently godaddy, and the address of the name servers (currently ns1/ns2.domainmanager.com). I want to piece together whether the domain was transferred or the server was moved recently, because it could have been sold under the table this past week. I don't have those type of whois history tools that are pricey to use.

Well I want to be well invested in bitcoin I am a firm Believer in government free regulation currency. Thanks for the input.
Between this and the cars you've put up for sale, it would make a good press hit (and we have not had much press lately, good or bad). Would you be willing to be interviewed by someone in the media?

this is the biggest thing to be offered for BTC I've seen, followed.

Many big sites out there buy their equivalent domain in .com (and somtimes in a few other popular TLDs) and redirect to their intended URL when someone tries to use the wrong ones they caught; helps bring people when the addy is typed wrong as well as when the browser tries to guess the URL when the user types a word without a TLD (i've seen some browsers do that, even some that also do google searches, if it's a single word, first they try checking if there is a .com with that word before going to Google)
Even i occasionally type in bitcoin.com instead of .org when I'm out of it. Maybe we should offer to buy a re-direct instead of the domain (hopefully for a 10% of the price) if the domain price is exorbitant.

When it says that it was updated 7/05, that could be because the name servers were changed, or possibly the registrar (since it wasn't due to a renewal) ... which hints that the domain was sold. I could see it happening in a private deal. Can anyone access old records and see the registrar and DNS info pre 7/05 ? Bitcoin, com used to use a twitter account back in '09 ( http://twitter.com/#!/bitcoin) which bitcoiners seemed to have followed just for the name. Their tagline was 'Making web payments flow' and judging by Way Back Machine, the url was forwarded elsewhere.

I really want to organize and release humorous bitcoin videos, but I haven't the production/editing/acting skills and I'm not paying out of pocket to find people who do (don't have the BTC available for this).
If there was ever a fund available for this, I would like to structure the design and public release portions.
We need an autotuned rap music video, for starters.

No idea yet about Bitcoin Awards....
But if someone organize a Bitcoin Razzie Awards, I would like to make a nomination for Worst Exchange.
I think me, BitcoinPorn, and Buttcoin could form a coalition and take care of that.
