Can you try hard reset by pressing the button with a paperclip for a few seconds and then wait for 2 minutes and turn it off?

If the reset worked, the IP address will be 192.168.1.99

the button is right side of the Ethernet port.

I have one S3 now that seems to be broken.  Embarrassed

The LED's on the nic light up and blink like usual. When I reset and reboot, the red LED light will blink 8-9 times fast then 1 slow blink and repeats about a dozen times then turns off.

I cannot access the web gui at any time.

Can anyone tell me what is at fault here? Maybe I can use the parts from an S1 to bring it back to life?

The red LED flashes like the other devices while they are booting up then all LED's go off after the initial flickering. But:

After a hard reset using the pin, it will do the initial red LED bootup flicker, it then goes into the fast blink 8-9 times then 1 slow blink repeated for a dozen times then red led light goes off.

NIC LED lights are unaffected at any time. WebGUI is inaccessible at any time.  Embarrassed

So here is the overnight update:

@philipma1957 - I think you are right here, either not enough power or too hot, probably the first.

One of my 30amp 240v breakers tripped shutting off a PDU, so I moved one of the power supplies to another pdu. Problem solved but demonstrates the power these guys drink.

At 240 freq it worked for about 3 hours then slowly the hash would decline, I thought one of power supplies may have overheated but when I checked everything looked fine. Hitting the 'resession' button on the be controller set everything back on que again. Then within several hours same thing.

At 250 freq it worked or about an hour then I had the same problem of the hash rate declining until I hit the 'resession' button. Hash rate did not increase.

At 230 freq it is still working for the past 6 hours with no hash rate decline and it matches the ghs that is to be expected. Curious if this helps with power usage at all, but really hoping it stays this way I'm not in a position to be hitting buttons multiple times a day. So far so good crossing my fingers.

[edit] seems to be generating a lot of duplicate shares is this normal?, Also I think 2048 may be a better diff setting for 4x prisma.

Thanks CrazyGuy, I now have 4 prismas connected to one BE cube that is chugging away the past 2 hours now without problems. I needed the dip switch info for sure. Straight forward install, everything there and even a few extra cables. Sweet more stuff for the parts drawer.

Apologies for the dark pic. But you can see I am powering 4 prismas using two stacked 2000watt IBM DPS2000BB power supplies with Sidehack's awesome breakout board and his cables 1 PCI-E per hashing board (which I admit are a little long for this layout). Cables are not hot or warmer than outside environment. I had a little mishap that involved grounding metal to some parts of a hashing board with pops and sparks but that board is chugging away anyhow  Grin

The tubes do give off a lot of heat, more than the S3 for sure, but just a bit more than a S1. Most of the heat is coming from the stacked power supplies pushing ~4500watts combined. (not confirmed soon I will obtain some recycled PDU's that meter each outlet  Cool) I used the two fans that came with my older S2 kit for the power supplies, one to push, one to pull. One just one wasn't enough it would overheat and shut off.

Pool side reporting 5.7Ths past 1hour, difficulty at 4096.

Can you confirm all 4 from batch 1 + 1 be controller shipped? I only see movement on two out of four of the tracking numbers/labels I sent.

[edit] I see movement now on all 4. USPS is slow to populate all the numbers can you tell I'm getting antsy?  Grin

From those pictures it looks like the hashing boards are powered by 2 6pin pcie plugs or am I just looking at it wrong? Are these going to be like the S3 where one 6pin pcie per hashing board will work but two is needed for overclocking?

Not to threadjack, but anyone in need of power for these, I'll give 10% discount on any of our power products (including kits) to CrazyGuy GB people through the end of the month.
D750 (750W rated, 800W capable) and DPS-2000BB (2000W rated, 2400W capable) boards and PSUs and any cables (18" or 36" available). Orders paid by 3PM CST should ship the same day.

But if you want to give me 10% off the next order I would take you up on that - I will be coming back for more  Tongue

This debt isn't worth anywhere near 50% face value.  More like 5%.  This isn't a company that missed a payment or two.  This was obviously planned in advance.  There is simply no way there is any money left in any company account, which means virtually no chance anyone will ever collect anything.

He could have just spent it all on hookers and coke I guess. In a worse case scenario I would be happy to give the debt away only for a little proof that someone collected on it.  Roll Eyes

In an unexpected but most welcome move, the driver for these was submitted to cgminer. I've reviewed their driver and suggested some changes which they've already resubmitted so the driver is now part of mainline cgminer and will be in the next release due out today.

Many thanks! Small donation sent have a case of beer on me  Smiley

It was a little tongue in cheek but it is looking like we got ripped off the more time that goes by.. When it gets to the point of no return for me I wouldn't mind selling the debt off 50c on the dollar to an outfit like this and if we combined some of our orders together the slice of pie may be large enough for them to take it or maybe some of their friends? The debt owed should double if this route is pursued, penalty for being royal scammer jackass. Phone number and gym info are in the episode  Cheesy

Maybe we can hire this guy to collect for us:

Are we having website issues? Every once in awhile I'll get in a tr0llbox somewhere and give out a few fails to peeps that give me failcoin addys. This last time people couldn't download the wallet and so I checked for myself and it seemed like the site kind of FAIL'ed to display most text some blank screens this is with Firefox. Some perfect irony ahh I love this coin.  Tongue
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] FAILCoin | DigiShield | Exchanges | New wallets on: October 09, 2014, 09:13:22 PM
That's okay, I think we got most of the large dumpers out the way so no news or not this tire seems to be holding the pressure now. I'm going to hold off on another pump for now waiting for someone else to take a turn. If it does seem to spring a leak I'll plug it up.  Cool

Treat your FAIL's as very high worth when using them because this is all vastly intentionally undervalued.

I threw another 50LTC at the market it only seems a tiny trickle of sell orders the past few weeks, working on breaking down some of those bigger walls.
95  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: October 08, 2014, 05:17:33 AM
Just pull the wires from behind the switch and tie them together Huh (short them)
96  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: October 08, 2014, 03:43:10 AM
So I have this same problem of power outages for a few seconds every few days that shut off most of my ATX power supplies and requires me to manually switch them.

The IBM DPS2000BB 2000watt server power supplies + sidehack's breakout board (gekkoscience.com) solve this issue completely. All the machines attached to those are really maintenance free and kick back on after the power glitches every time. Just make sure you tie on adequate fans to keep them cool and running.

I know not ideal for S4 replacing the pws but that's most likely what is necessary to solve this problem.

Can you put me down for one more? To be shipped when batch 3 arrives of course.  I'll send btc tonight.  Smiley

I'm gunna poke a stick into this beehive and run  Cheesy

If you are a miner at any scale, like most jobs, you must do it better and cheaper than anyone else doing your same job if you want to come out on top. There is no system in the world that guarantees everyone will be a winner.

I would really like to be able to set my scrypt miners mining other alts and have them exchange for FAIL automatically through exchanges. Between us all we could increase the pressure more than dramatically Shocked I can throw in a measly 1 btc and 500million FAIL to add to whatever bounty to whomever makes this happen. Of course with our FAIL history I would only pay after completion, and you would just have to trust me.
