becareful on blockchain for this day:

my wallet are pumped of my btc this day(unauthorized transaction)

i think this address is an xss:http://www.blockchain.mobi/wallet/login/index.htm (see.mobi)

Ouch! Are you saying that there is a cross-site scripting bug on blockchain.info, and that somebody is using it to redirect us users to blockchain.mobi?  Shocked

That would be very bad indeed.

I have not tried to check this myself, I do not trust that I would necessarily detect the problem, and don't want to lose my coins.

A friend hit the same scam, but hit the .mobi site through a "well"-placed Google Ad when searching for blockchain, I believe.

Always go straight to the proper URL. Bookmarks and web extensions help. As does 2FA.

Annoying niggle in the Android app - clicking the transaction has in the transaction popup sends you to an address with https:/ instead of https:// - which for me defaults to a Google search instead.

Also can't see an obvious way to see which address a transaction went to, but might just need coffee.

Lastly, I used to be able to add a label to an address by choosing the transaction - is this still possible? I get the impression the "add note" button adds a public note instead?

Bump. Back from holiday.

After some hassle switching to a new phone and finding logging in with Google Authenticator on the old phone didn't seem to work (?), I've imported a backup and set up a new wallet. A couple of oddities though:

1. Verifying an email address seems a bit iffy. Took me about 5 goes to get it to work (Tried typing the code in, copying it in, and clicking the link in the mail.) May have been resolved when I updated my email address - is it possible to have the same email address for 2 different wallets?

2. Can't see a link to create an easy-to-remember identifier for a wallet any more - has this been removed, or am I just blind?

Cheers,
Scribe

satoshi.co.in

May I know the Expiry Date ?

Both are 28th August this year, but looking into transferring and extending if needed.
89  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Domain names: crypto.co.in / satoshi.co.in on: July 03, 2013, 08:11:15 PM
2 domains for sale - registered last year but never got round to using, so making available for sensible offers.

  • crypto.co.in
  • satoshi.co.in

Interested? Drop me a line via replies here or a PM - can validate domain ownership by email (see whois for both domains for contact info). Bitcoin-otc nick is scribe.

On the road over the next week, so OTC auth'ing might be tricky, but will try to respond to enquiries as they come in and finalise transfer when I get back if a sale gets agreed.

90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ANN] PikaPay - Send Bitcoins to Anyone on Twitter on: June 30, 2013, 02:47:31 PM
Just been taking a look at this, looking nice with a couple of bugs. Blogged it here:

https://bitcoinlife.wordpress.com/2013/06/30/playing-with-pikapay-btc-via-twitter/

Main thing is the link to confirm a payment submitted via Twitter doesn't seem to work for me. Known issue?

Good luck - my experimenting today seems to have a few people interested :-)

Just been playing with getting Bitcoins up on a Pi, and found this thread. Drop me a PM if you're still looking for a web dev.
92  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How's the escrow service on LocalBitcoins? on: May 16, 2013, 08:59:59 AM
Used a couple of times as a seller, no problems - mostly through web, and may have tried the SMS out just to check but can't remember. Helpful for newbies to the site as it obviously increases trust, but I still like face-to-face to get a good idea of whether the other party is reliable.

Firefox plugin updated, here's me new ID:

387823-50cc999effb8635954fc0bf9e6641e65

BTC address: 14c5abusEpwHFFQHuc8NPachaSKn9ja5Mk

Cheers, glad to see you got it working finally.

Is the source for the surf4bitcoin plugin easy to get to, by the way?

Cool, seems to work on my Mac now after the PM. Will let you know if it changes.

ID is 0-97439acce03a88563d59469c0c990df8 - do you need another Bitcoin address?
95  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Free bitcoins with surf4bitcoin.com [0.5502605BTC] on: April 29, 2013, 12:10:32 PM
Got it running at work - should I add a second ID/address once it's running at home as well?

Here's the info anyway:

ID: 0-97439acce03a88563d59469c0c990df8

BTC: 14c5abusEpwHFFQHuc8NPachaSKn9ja5Mk

Should my ID definitely have a 0 at the start? Wink

Cheers.

Same issue with Firefox, running on OSX. Not sure if ads are being blocked or not.

I like the bitbob suggestion, as it ties in with 'mainstream' tokens. In a similar vein, how about...

- Benny (bit+penny)
- Bounder (bit+pound...er)
- Billies (bit+millis)
- Betas
- oh God these are actually a bit dire. Or druggy.

OK, take 2...

- Blockcoins
- Keycoins

Got to keep it simple...

In the short and understated history of blocknois.es I've been mostly playing with releasing stuff through coindl.com. Pros are that it's pretty easy to set up items, you can auto-pay artists if they have a BTC address, it's easy for people to buy, supports pay-what-you-want and free downloads, and has things like album items, affiliates, etc. Cons are that it's still a little 'unpolished', plus recently uploads are taking ages to get OKd. Also no LTC support AFAIK. And it'd still be nice to offer a bit more % to the artists blocknois.es is promoting.

Starting to have a look at other sites such as coingig.com and bitmit but not had enough time yet. Also would love to look at self-hosting and integrating payments onto our main site.

Happy to talk about collaborating through blocknois.es if you're interested, or just to swap notes. Will definitely have a listen to the track once I'm around some decent headphones Smiley

Let me know if you want a proper 320kbps version. Soundcloud hammers it down to 128kbps I believe.

Just listened - great track. Reminded me of somewhere in between Cyberdog and old Bitmap Brothers soundtracks. PM on the way Smiley

I'm on localbitcoin and love it. Unlike a lot of people on here, I enjoy meeting actual people in the real world.

This many times over. The people interested in Bitcoin are a great slice of life in my experience - people that care about privacy, economics and the future. I've had some great chats through localbitcoins.
