I'm really, really confused now. I thought the only way to solo was through the wallet using the mine button? I also only use GUIMiner for pool mining.

This could have been avoided if the dev got some half-competent pool websites on launch.

Is there a reason why solo mining uses CPU? I have a 280X which is vastly superior to use for scrypt mining. As the pools are down, is there any way to solo with my GPU? Thanks.

lol, so you guys want to hush this easy flaw in the coin so you can what? make lots of profit? Face it, it's flawed, if you silence this guys many more will find out about it soon enough which means the coin is flawed. The only way you can somewhat give away fairly is by checking ID's and never giving away twice to the same Dutch ID.

It's a poor designed coin which can easily be exploited. Why would you then, knowing this, want to continue to invest and mine this coin? You guys never cease to amaze me how stupid some of you can be. If I wanted to invest in a company and found a major flaw in their business model I would not put my figers in my ears and sing la-la, I wouldn't invest or waste any more time on it. If you continue to mine then fine, that's your business, but on your own head be it. You could have spent that time mining a half-decent coin instead.

Launching tomorrow?

Still can't get it to do anything even when changing to klondikecoin.conf. Can someone confirm the correct version is v0.8.6.2-unk-beta? This is what I just downloaded straight from the website.

All i'm getting is "no block source available".

Very strange. No matter what I do I can not get it to connect to any nodes. If anyone has an extended version of the config then please post some extra nodes here for me to try to connect to.

As a British person I have to mine this . Looking forward to the release and will be mining it for a while. I like how you will be organising trade fairs. I really hope you are genuine. Many people pre-mine and say they will do this and that, only to sell their pre-mine as soon as it hits an exchange. I hope this is not one of them, but I guess time will tell.

Us Brits like to have an idependant currency. My guess is that the future of cryptocurrencies will see country specific currencies, and a world/universal currency such as Bitcoin, time will tell though.
