Ja diese "cold staking" optionen gibt es bei vielen Coins. Particle kommt dem, was ALQO vor hat wohl am nähesten. Die Funktion wird im Liberio framework implementiert werden und dieses kommt auch voraussichtlich noch in diesem Monat. ABER: staking an sich wird erst ab Block 475201 möglich sein, was Anfang Oktober dieses Jahres erst der Fall sein wird. Also werden wir noch ein wenig warten müssen ;-) |

I agree with you. Maybe my understanding of technology isn't correct but I would include improved usability and accessibility into the category of superior technology  OK then we agree - nice! Now the "only" problem would be how to create a "ALQO brand" which will be recognized and everybody is eager to share with his buddies. Any ideas welcome! |

Also wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, muss man somit nicht mehr seine ALQO wallet dauerthaft online halten umzu staken? Wie kann man dann beim coldstaking seinen reward claimen (so wie bei neo ? )
Also ich weiß nicht wie es bei NEO ist aber bei ALQO wird es wohl so werden, dass man die staking rewards automatisch auf seine Addresse "gut" geschrieben bekommt. D.h. wenn du das nächste Mal deine Wallet öffnest siehst du schon den neuen Betrag und musst kein "claiming" mehr starten. Und nein das wallet kann aus bleiben! Ob noch dedizierte staking pools am start sein werden (oder sein müssen für kleine stakes) kann ich leider nicht sagen, so weit bin ich noch nicht mit dem Team vorgedrungen aber ich werde das in den nächsten Tagen mal mit aufzuklären versuchen. |

Yes and that is why developers who are forking a coin shouldn't be satisfied with plain copy, but instead improve the existing protocol and convince people with superior technology.
I think its not necessarily superior technology - it needs to be state of the art at least. If the surroundings match like improving usability or improving accessability then the coin has definetely the right to exist. Dev who are simply forking a coin an are satisfied strongly reminds me of scammers... - only in for the fast money... |

vielen Dank, dass Du die Neuigkeiten auch hier bekannt gibst. Was war eigentlich der Grund, warum die Masternodes des eigenen Service kurzfristig offline gegangen sind? ich hatte echt Probleme die MN wieder ans Laufen zu bringen, ging nur mit support@alqo.org... War das irgendein Update? Muss das bei den Servern die nicht vom Hostingservice betrieben werden auch gemacht werden, oder war das "nur" einer der spectre/meltdown patches? Es gab nen Bug im ALQO code - falsches Reward Schema. Eine Stufe war falsch implementiert und musste geändert werden. Prinzipell bekamen die Miner auf einmal deutlich mehr als die MN Betreiber. Da das Masternode Netzwerk ja quasi die Pulsader des ganzen Ökosystems sind musste da schnell Abhilfe geschaffen werden. Nach bekanntwerden des Bugs gabs innerhalb von ein paar Stunden das update und das wurde innerhalb von quasi 24h ausgerollt. Dafür mussten alle Masternodes und Poolwallets und Minerwallets "upgedated" (was ein scheißwort...) werden. Wäre auch alles gut gegangen, wenn nicht das ALQO hosting mit nem Skript selbst ins Knie geschossen hätte. Durch den großen Load, die so ein update mit sich bringt kann man nicht alles parallel anschieben wenn man 600+ masternodes updated sondern muss das sequentiell machen... (das wissen wir jetzt auch) da es an vielen Stellen zu bottlenecks kommt. Das hat dann dazu geführt das ein paar Nodes kein update bekommen haben und dementsprechend down gingen entweder durch kein/schlechtes update oder da die Protokollversion nicht mehr akzeptiert wurde... Die Lessons learned ist schon durchgeführt und das wird nicht noch mal passieren! |

Im Moment wird ALQO ja noch als POW betrieben, von daher wird der pi im Moment nicht ausreichen, oder Du wirst zumindest kein "Vergnügen" damit haben. Theoretisch laufen müsste es. Ich denke, wenn von POW auf POS umgestellt wird, kannst Du es dann auch auf nem PI betreiben...
Naja Masternode im PoW oder PoS ist eigentlich völlig egal, die Arbeit ist die gleiche... wenn nicht gar beim PoS ein wenig mehr für den Node. Die Arbeit macht ja der Miner ^^ Stand heute wird wohl kein pi mehr nötig sein für die PoS phase, es sei denn du willst wirklich nen Masternode betreiben (was dann aber auch wieder ne feste IP z.B. erforderlich macht), denn um zu staken wird kein einfacher node mehr nötig sein. Cold staking nenne sich da das Zauberwort und wird einfach mit der Balance deiner Adresse funktionieren, egal ob dein Node online ist oder offline (quasi Zinsen auf dem Konto). |

Für die, die es noch nicht im englischen Thread gelesen haben sollten: ALQO wird in den nächsten Tagen von coinexchange.io gelistet.
Die Gebühren für zwei Handelspaare (ALQO/BTC und ALQO/ETH) wurden schon bezahlt und es wird erwartet, dass die technische Integration bis diesen Samstag (10.3.) abgeschlossen sein wird.
Sicher nur ein kleiner Schritt, den ALQO mit diesem Listing geht aber ein durchaus wichtiger um mehr Publicity und damit Leute mit ALQO in Kontakt zu bekommen.

Is anyone concerned about the dev team biting off more than they can chew? Alqo is an ambitious project by itself and now they are adding an exchange project on top of that. One that will start as a crypto exchange but then will handle fiat as well.
This is a huge commitment. They are implementing a dev fee in the block reward and hiring more devs but I don't think that is enough for them to continue improving Alqo at the current pace. I think Alqo will have a much slower development now, if it continues at all. Circle purchasing Poloniex showed how valuable exchanges are and Poloniex was only a crypto exchange and did not handle fiat. There is much more money to be made in Bitfineon than there is in Alqo and that worries me for the future of this project.
Well we all have seen a tremendous commitment of the team in the past couple of months. They literally worked their asses off to get this project running. Now they are going towards the mentioned exchange step they've spoken about a lot of times. With the dev fee and more development capacity (and addtl. staff too) they will be able to get much more done than before. I dont know why are you thinking they will stop the development of the coin? It has been always said that once there is a solid coin network built there will be not a top notch development with patents and so on. It was always communicated that once this has been built the team will strive for creating use cases for the coin as this is the next logical step apart from being a top notch development coin with a lot more potential and growth opportunities. Will they make money with bitfineon - sure they will and I hope they will drown in it! This ensures that they will continue following their hearts which are certainly bumping all for ALQO and the whole ecosystem. Following a vision is a lot easier if you have no personal money boundaries. |

Ich sehe du hast einige Erfahrung schon sammeln können.
Wie schaut es mit mind. Systemanforderungen bei VPS für MNs.
Ist das individuell von Coin zu Coin unterschiedlich oder reicht es, wenn man bestimme Anforderungen einhält.
Ich meine sowas wie RAM, CPU, Bandbreite, Traffic, HDD Größe, DDoS Protection??? usw...
Grundsätzlich reicht bei einem neuen Projekt die kleinste variante an gängigen VPS: 1core, 512MB RAM, 20GB HDD, 1TB bandwidth. DDoS protection ist gut aber kein must, da es ja ein verteiltes Netz ist und ein potentieller Angreifer keinen incentive hätte deinen Node zu ddos'en. Für etwas fortgeschrittenere Projekte muss dann auf jeden Fall mehr RAM her, Dash MN läuft aktuell stabil mit 2GB RAM und obigen Spezifikationen. D.h. mit den specs vom "kleinsten VPS" von netcup bist du bestens gerüstet für dein Masternode Experiment. Was braucht man noch um einen Masternode zu betreiben: Die jeweiligen coins als hinterlegter Pfand (bei ALQO z.B. 10000 ALQO) Eine separate IP für jeden Node ein bisschen Linux Erfahrung oder den Willen sich ein wenig mit der Kommandozeile zu beschäftigen Ansonsten muss man sich mit der Sache abfinden, dass es noch keine steuerliche Regelung für MN rewards in D gibt, dass man immer auf dem Laufenden bleiben muss hinsichtlich updates usw., damit man da schnell reagieren kann und einer langen Wartezeit bis neue Rewards kommen, wenn das Projekt ein paar mehr Masternodes hat. (Wieder das Beispiel ALQO: aktuell über 90h bis der erste reward eintrudelt). Ach ja und eine "Warnung" an alle: 95% aller MN coins kann man in die Tonne kloppen, weil sie quasi nur existieren um zu existieren. No usecase, no roadmap, no whitepaper, no known devs... |

Leider auch beim Spectre Meltdown fix, was in vielen ausgefallenen MN endete... Voll empfehlen kann ich https://www.netcup.de/vserver/vps.php. Deutsche Firma mit exzellentem support! Die kleinste VPS Variante reicht auch um sich zur Not nen daemon selbst zu kompilieren (2GB RAM). Die Administration ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber da kommt man irgendwann klar mit. |

Great news! Alqo deserves to be in top100 with Bitfineon  As I noticed during the night, a decision about ICO has been made, and the team decided not to organize an ICO. I see this positive. The community decided to pay dev-fees instead! Waiting for the next big listing! Yes the decision has been made to not do an ICO - fair enough. Gettin 50% revenue to the ALQO holders will be a challenge though. There are so many things to consider like avoiding making ALQO a security, do not harm liquidity and many many more. I am really awaiting on what the outcome will be (certainly a brilliant version considering all our guesses ). Meanwhile really lookin foward to the upcoming releases. This is going to be amazing times guys! |

Evtl könnten die Devs auch einfach einen Newsletter (am besten noch zusätzlich einen MN Newsletter) schalten. Da sollte einem dann nix wichtiges mehr entgehen, seöbst wenn man nicht auf Twitter / Discord folgt.
Ja ich denke auch, dass die Newsletter Variante einfach die Beste Art ist, um schnell alle MN owner zu erreichen. Gerade wenn man nicht zu sehr in der Community drin ist geht mal schnell ne Woche ins Land ohne die wichtigsten Stellen für news "abgegrast" zu haben. Die Devs haben das auf dem Schirm aber wie es eben so ist, in D darf man nicht einfach Email Addressen einsammeln und dann ungefragt Dinge raussenden. Aber die bekommen das sicher in nächster Zeit gebacken! |

Im originalen ANN thread ists drin gewesen... schade. Per Email kam nichts, da es einfach noch keinen Newsletter gibt. Wir haben allerdings schon entschieden, dass dies unbedingt geändert werden muss und werden baldmöglichst einen solchen implementieren. Ist ja nicht so, dass man automatisch seine Email einem Masternode beilegen kann und automatisch über alles informiert wird |
