I think in the next days and weeks we can await a correction in bitcoin Price. It was bullish for quite some time now - i doubt it will hit 10,000$ by the end of the year; Price will probably be the same as now.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?
Absoluteley! I think that would be a great step ahead. Also, a feature that lets you connect friends & family's phones together to build somehow like a mining Network - "pool" would be soooo nice.

Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:
Paper money will be banned entirely? How long do you think that happens? would it work? What security and privacy risks would it raise? And how would public and privately issued monies interact?
Paper money will DEFINATELY be banned at some point. To my mind, it will be around 2030. This will established bei the governments (not for real, it's the elite doing it). Unfortunately, it is going to be the complete opposite of privacy and and security. It will be used to control the masses and make EVERY transaction transparent. Yes, i'm talking about NWO (New world order). Sad, but if we're lucky we can make some Money until then...

I can only suggest to buy altcoins now. Their price has been dumped for some weeks now due to hype of bitcoin and its upcoming fork. The mathmatics is easy: How far can bitcoin go until the hardfork? Maybe 8500$? That's around +15% from now. How far can the altcoins grow after the fork? Way more than +15%

Reputation of the devs; neccessarity of the product (crypto); community feedback; roadmap & whitepaper.
When it hit exchanges a high and stable trading volume is important.

I think BTC will rise to up to 8500$ until the next hard fork mid November. After that, Price will probably drop to around 5700$. Till the end of the year, i think a price of about 7500$ can be reached again. In the Long-term - to my mind - bitcoin will fall back far behind other Projects. To me BTC is a speculative bubble and the "real" value may last up to a price of 30000$ per BTC. After that, the bubble Bursts and other blockchain Projects are going to hit #1. Don't ask me which year this will be could be 2018, could be 2025 as well.

Very nice quote from OP.
I think trading remains fun as long as it stays some kind of "hobby". Personally, i am working for a moderate income - fulltime. I recognized simple "saving money" is simply inefficient, so i started to search for something better.
Right now, trading for me is just knowing my money better invested then before. I increase my skills day by day and keep evolving.
Now it comes to the serious part - my HOPES. Ofcourse i hope to get rich with cryptocurrencies, and this drives me forwards. But i'm not desperetaley in need of money. As long as this state of "mind" remains, i think i will stay successful.

it depends on what you mean by "spend time". wasting time for example is not proper way of spending it. and that's what most people do.
but if you spend time constructively by studying the market, analyzing the charts, learning how to trade, reading articles, watching the movement on charts and thinking about reasons for each change .... that would be a good thing.
some people even start "demo trading". if the platform allows that (crypto trading platforms rarely have this feature) then even better, but if not on paper or in an excel sheet. placing imaginary buys and then watching if they get filled, then placing imaginary sells and finally seeing if you could make profit.
all trading needs is experience. to know how things work and then acting fast.
Best advices i read here so far! Just want to add: train to control your emotions. It's only human to let emotions control your decisions - but in trading as well as in gambling it's 100% neccessary to avoid that.

Bitcoin prices are getting more expensive and the price of altcoin is getting lower. For you altcoin traders, I want to know how the strategy you are using in the current situation. Let's share the experience here. Your answer is greatly appreciated. I usally buy more and more alts during such a dip. I buy little portions every day securing the cheapest price. Also, trading vs. tether with little % profits works good.

Shift, Zcoin, Zencash or even Vertcoin have the potential to rise to 100$ each coin.

Best times to buy cheap alts right now! Probably after BTC forks its price will correct downwards. Then alts go up again

Guys can I explain my considerations?
I see some of you saying: ''invest into bitcoin for the next 10 years, invest your pension funds...''
This for me is ridicolous, a pension fund all in bitcoin.
Let me clarify THIS: THE COMPANIES HAVE ALREADY KNOWN that the blockchain tecno is somenthing REALLY PROMISUING and good for their profits and they ARE WORKING TO CREATE THEIR OWN BLOCKCHAINS (SIDE-CHAINS)
Because they don't want to depend on the Bitcoin blockchain that is full of bugs, with scaling problems and that you must wait 30 minuts for a block to be verified.
So let me clarify this: Bitcoin is a simbolic progress of internet, but will die for sure. You don't have to see the price now, it can go even to 1 million, but it's extremly risky to invest in a such bubble.
Bitcoin will remain as a ''simbolic progress of internet'' and will stabilize itself at the price of 1000$ in the next years (then I predict it will disappear)
Because copanies are working on their own side-chains. IN the future you won't need bitcoin to buy ALTS (look at waves dex)
So I think, it's wiser to stop promoting a bubble. Please.
Mark this post, the time will get me right. maybe the bubble can go even to 50k in the next 3-4 years, then it will die. And it will crash so heavly that the last investitors will be ruined from bitcoin if they will be stupid enough to invest in bitcoin at 30'000 or things like that
The future IS IN THE PROJECTS WITH THEIR OWN SIDE-CHAINS THAT CAN WORK ALONG SIDE WITH BIG COMPANIES AND DO NOT RELATE TO THE BITCOIN CORE blockchain (Hello, stratis, hello waves, hello ethereum)
I think this guy is absolutely right. There are so much better projects that offer a real product with a real value. Still, BTC will be profitable for a while since 80% of the marketcap is caused by media - and which coins are hyped.

Probably investing is better for the long term, gambling only for short. You should only risk what you can affird to lose.
I sometimes collect some LTC from faucets and gamble on bitsler.com with them. Bigger amounts will be invested in BTC and promusing Alts or ICO's then.

I recognize signals on XEL Elastic, SYS Syscoin and STRAT Stratis. Lately made profit through a little peak in XRP Ripple as well as VTC Vertcoin.
The volatility of these coins is great these days and also are their support levels.

To my personal experience, people tend to wait... and wait... and wait.. and every 4 weeks they are like "Oh, if i had invested back then..." Wait for a little dip in the chart and buy-in. Welcome to the show
