If KNCMiner doesn't ship both of my Jupiter units by the end of next week or refund any money, then I might kill myself for financial reasons.

Any company that is in the position that KNC finds itself is like a deer caught in your headlights.
They don't know what to do because the floor has just fallen out from underneath them and now they will be just fighting to survive.
You'll be lucky to get any units by the end of October.
KNCminer has robots to make and test units. Hashfast assembles by hand. I wouldn't say that hashfast won just yet

I think KNC won't finish shipping batch #1 until the end of Oct.
if that

Did i invest in the wrong company? Hashfast babyjet will likely ship on the 30th of this month instead of the reported 20th because that is what they originally told me in an email before they updated their dates; however, for $7,100, about the price of a Jupiter, I could have gotten 400 gh/s overclocked to 540 gh/s + an upgrade kit, of $1,500, for 540 more overclocked gh/s. So, that means I would have had 1,080 th/s for $7,100 at the start of November. My order is ~2000 order , June 11th, "in progress" since Saturday or Sunday morning, and my ~2100 order, June 13th, just "paid." The only one way I would make a comparative ROI is if kncminer ships soon.
Come on KNCMINER, you need to ship soon.

So, the overclock speed of a babyjet is 540 gh/s? The screen also shows that it has 0 % hardware errors, is that true?

My order has been "in progress" since Sunday morning. It is order 199x. I paid somewhere between June 11-17.
I need the miner so i can pay my debts.
PLEASE GIVE ME MY MINER

It's an ongoing investigation, but if you want to play it safe, for sure the Corsair V850 has not shown any problems this end, and is used throughout the hosting currently.
you mean Cooler Master v850 and not corsair v850. I bought two CORSAIR AX860 860W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139044any of you work with that one?

I see stats about cores disabled and cores enabled/on. how come some cores get disabled? how come all the cores don't work. i dont understand. is something broken? not enough testing? not enough heatsinks?
|

I finally got my 2 miners online via hosting.
Jupiter 1 = 172 Gh/s Jupiter 2 = 12 Gh/s
(past hour)
kill me
They should open the miner up and connect the wires properly. they must have came loose. Someone in the kncminer forum had a similar problem: http://tinyurl.com/ohgg8fo

People on bitcointalk.org said they are using BeQuiet Silent Wings 140mm and Arctic Cooling Freezer i30/A30.
ARCTIC Freezer A30 already comes with MX-4 thermal compound, which is generally the best carbon compound you can get. The CFM of those 120mm heatsink fans are 74. They could be replaced, but that is generally a high CFM. The 140mm fans are 60 CFM, and likewise that is high CFM, especially at 15 dB level.
I think I might not replace the fans, but I am going to add a bunch of ram heatsinks on the components, including around the heatsink to cover the chip completely. I dont have my miner(s) yet, but i see people reporting that cores shutdown while others stay on. i am not sure what that is about. but i want to keep all the cores on and cool

What is the CFM of the fans that kncminer uses?

2 of may hash modulse runs at 81-83C. So more cooling capacity is needed for sure.
Ift the temperatue drops down from 81C to 71C the hash rate goes down. So it's a self defense I think.
try changing the thermal paste on the heatsinks so there is a thin layer instead of it being excessive and squashed out of the heatsink.

The point is that with lower temperatures, you get a much higher hashrate and less errors, i think. I think the temperature thing is the main thing that affects the hashrate.
My machine is just getting slower as each day passes, hw errors are getting worse, started off around 10% now up to 14%. It's not a temperature issue It's not a firmware issue in so much as flashing to previous versions where i'd got higher hashrates/lower hw errors aren't helping. My best guess is that more cores are failing as time goes on. Please don't give up like that. You lose hope, then we all lose hope. What happens when you do a hard reset, and what hash rates did you get before and are getting now? Maybe there is high temperature on other components or something that ram heatsinks can fix. Maybe you should open your case. maybe you should disconnect the cables then reconnect them, while the machine is off and no metal is on your fingers.

Larger heatsink: I notice that some have high temperatures on their units. Can we work on trying to get the lowest temperatures possible? Someone on kncminer forum suggested reapplying thermal paste so that it is not too thick and not too thin. What about a larger heatsink, can we get one that goes over the whole chip? What are the dimensions of the chip? and what is the best thermal paste for this chip?

someone please find out how many miners do they produce and ship in one day; then, we each wouldn't be so blind as to the future.

Good news! I got a tracking number today. On the site it still says in progress though, and the package has not been received by UPS yet. I hope it gets sent today, fingers crossed.
what time and time zone did you get your tracking number? did you just now get it? I'm still waiting on mine. =(

If i don't get one of my two jupiters by Friday, I am going to hack this site.

Man you are getting on my nerves. I tried to explain it to you before but you just don't want to get it. Those are in no way "crazy demands". They are economically correct in every way. I do not want a refund on my orders, neither do I want btc or money from them now. So basically I do not want to touch any money they have made until now or will mine themselves in the future. But you just don't seem to get it. So here it is in numbers for you: What I lost since my order was not shipped in September and is not until today: let's say 10,5 btc What I paid them: 7k dollar What it cost them: (with R&D and production cost) for the Sept/Oct orders I would estimate 2,5k$ max. With November included: 1,8k$ max. These are rough estimates and they depend strongly on the amount sold, I took the conservative approach with around 1000 Jupiter orders for Sept/Oct. IRL their cost would be more around 800-1000$ at most. So when I say I want a voucher for every unit delivered late and we estimate the price of next gen to be around the same as november unit prices: 5k they would still make 2,5k-1,8k = 700 Dollars profit of those units. Please stop posting if you have no idea what you are talking about.
They basically said that they will start shipping on the last day of September. Every asic company says they ship on the last day of their stated month. Hashfast, Cointerra, Bitfury. They all ship on the last day of their stated month, which basically is the first few days of the next month. Hashfast says November 30th; Cointerra -- end of december. Bitfury's megabigpower -- oct 30th. Ask those companies. You are a bad customer. You won't get what you ask because I am a nicer person and you are not. I will get rewarded with a nice person award, and you get nothing. face facts.

altruistic bet on just-dice. Let me bet 10btc on roll hi and we split profit and i return the original bitcoin if i win. If we lose, then we lose together.
