Think I might have a faulty Jupiter.

Running at Average 407Gh/s , on firmware 0.95. Looking about 20-25% Error rate and lots of Enabled and Disabled Cores.

Checked the Fans and cables ect. Done a couple of restarts (including Power off and on) still the same.

HW status:

ASIC slot #1: 49.0 ℃
ASIC slot #2: -
ASIC slot #3: 49.0 ℃
ASIC slot #4: 60.5 ℃
ASIC slot #5: 52.0 ℃
ASIC slot #6:

temps look ok.

Can the Jupiter run if I unplug the Cables to Each asic (after Power off and then on) to determine if I have a faulty Asic Board.

Because if the average report by people is around 550Gh/s (that's 137Gh/s per Asic), 3 x 137Gh/s equates to my Speed or very close to it).

Any ideas you kind People (Including you Avenger  ;-)  )

Dave

Could anyone with a KNC miner do me a favour and ssh into your Miner and post the results for TOP.

So ssh into miner type top (Ctrl +  to exit) and post your results. Troubleshooting mine at the moment so need to compare.

Thanks

Sadly I fall into that category Joeventura brought up:

I did get an emailed note from Emilia earlier as posted in the thread and true indeed I see my order status changed to shipped.   However I received no tracking email from neither DHL nor UPS.

Does anyone know/can confirm  do I need to flash to the latest FW once I recive my unit or will it be flashed to .95 already at this point?

Mine arrived today with 0.95 on their latest firmware.

May I ask your order number?

#2389   Paid 19th June. 1 x Jupiter , Shipped to the UK.

Soooo.... If your order is marked as "Shipped", when does one receive tracking information?

Mine changed from In progress to Shipped after UPS had Scanned (or picked up the order from KNC)

You should have had your Tracking info First.

Tracking info comes in an Email from UPS not KNC. Check your Spam folders for an email from "UPS Quantum View"

A bit of a Stupid Question.

Can anyone remember if the T&C's were displayed when completing an order. I have added to my cart (as a test) and got to proceed with payment and no terms and conditions are displayed.

Was there a (tick I agree box) after payment or when you click on payment type then continue.

Also did anyone get a copy of the T&C's attached with their completed order email.

Hi Alex

Hows it going.

From what you know, is there any good reason why the Shipping is perceived to have stalled. My own personal order has been stuck at in-progress for a full 7 days.

Any Info would be appreciated.

;-)
96  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Countdown to shipping all units - 15th October on: October 14, 2013, 10:31:00 AM
Well I have emailed them as of 11:00 am UK time.

My order has been sitting at in-progress for a full 7 days.

I have requested the following.

An accurate indication on shipping.

Compensation for the delay (as they have already set a precedence for hosting customers).

I also informed them of my rights to request a full refund under Distance Selling and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Will post their reply (if and when they do).
97  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Countdown to shipping all units - 15th October on: October 13, 2013, 10:32:42 PM
I think they have no choice but to offer BTC compensation. The Sept/Oct orders cost more than the November orders, but November is getting very close.

So those peeps with a November order, when are they going to Jump in and cancel their orders because it could be December delivery for them.

I'm sort of confident I could request a refund under Distance Selling and the EU Consumer rights Directive (up to and including 7 Days after receiving the goods), but don't intend to play that card until I see how the Next 24 Hours play out.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 13, 2013, 05:27:27 PM
When I ordered and paid in July the KnC page said 400 for a Jup. It said October in huge letters for delivery.
That was what tipped me over to ordering. The fact that it would be early enough to have a chance of breaking even, and also that KnC understood that by their (back then quite frequent compared to now) statements about difficulty being important.

What has been delivered to others has not been double that, has on a lot of occasions not worked close to that spec even in hosting.

In any case, the speed is moot if you don't have the rig hashing. This is all non hardware related we hear, it's firmware. If so, what's the production delay? Why not churn them out and update the firmware ? If what we have been told is true about the production times and lines they could have finished them all days ago. 500 a day should be easily possible. 30 assembly benches..8 hours a day. Easy.

How can such magnificent engineers not know the production capacity of their own factory? It's fucking basic. In a real business it would be the deal breaker for funding in the business plan (pre-order avoids the need to actually know these basics for backing doesn't it?). The timing of the batch being all complete should be known for definite.

These facts simply don't go together. Rigs change status and nothing moves. KnC STFU completely.
Meanwhile we all know we are losing money and worry that we may take delivery of a malfunctioning machine after all this time.

Add to this the attitude that being pissed off about all this over promising and non delivering is somehow trolling? We don't look at this as some marvellous experiment that we can get into for free and make millions whatever happens..to us it's seeing a company and product, measuring their promises against what seems possible and investing our money based on those promises. The only pleasure we get is a box arriving and the rig working..then we breathe a sigh of relief. Even if it's a day or two late.

Right now, those of us who haven't seen that box, we're not having fun. We have no solid information and even though they know how things are, they don't have anyone working to even answer the phone. We're all losing the possibility of breaking even in return for putting our trust in KnC. They seem to think we're stupid for that. Or it simply doesn't matter.

Oh and forget that "we're all busy" crap...they have a hell of a lot of money to hire a few temps for a week like any other very busy business does. To assemble, answer the phone, send email updates, free up someone who can etc.

Taking the piss.

+1

I'm very close to invoking distance selling regulations and quoting "EU Consumer Rights Directive". If I do not have a confirm shipping number by end of the day 15th or an Indication on compensation for delay and my loss.

KNC are shit hot Engineers (but engineers should not run companies) , there reputation as a company is what people will remember, how they treated their customers is what people will remember.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 12, 2013, 07:11:02 PM
ok, I have a serious problem....
aftre starting CGminer, I ssh'd in on another window, and discovered that there is another instance of cgminer running, the one with all the wrong info...
when I try to "Q"uit that instance, it ignores me
when i try to get "S"ettings it ignores me...etc
i have to start a second instance of cgminer for the miner to start
the pool info page changes the second instance, not the first, so when i restart, all the wrong info is back
apparantly it's been like this all along...
what to do?

You could try and kill the service.

Do a ps - ef | grep cgminer

Find the pid number. And do a.  kill -9 pid number

T minus 4 days....

I still just showing paid..  Undecided

Same here
Don't expect anything atm. For sure they stopped shipping due to their HW/FW issues. Not to forget the datacenter problems.

With 4 Days to go until the 15th I would not hold your breath. My Jupiter order #238* paid June 19th, has been sitting at in progress (changed from paid) since Monday the 7th at 11:30 ish. I do suspect that they have ceased production until the issues are resolved. I do hope they compensate people (like hosting) for a late delivery.

Because if September/October miners are not shipped in October , they will need to refund the price difference for the November orders (in my opinion).

Not lost my Faith in KNC yet , but their lack of any concrete status updates (even if its bad news) is testing my belief.
