81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: June 25, 2019, 09:27:54 AM
I've been using AwesomeMiner for a while and haven't had many issues but now I'm getting frequent crashes to the point where the PC just restarts.  I'm having a hard time narrowing down which algorithms it's having trouble with.  Is there an ideal place I should start to dig or does anyone have any advice?

Windows 10 Rig
5x 1070's

reduce overclocking and check risers
clean the oxide film from the contacts of the video card and risers

I already answer you. It's not the OC, nor are the risers. It is the damn windows and its updates, something has to improve in AM to control this.

You can not undermine and indicate "miner offline" and reboot rig. It also happens directly by mining, PLASH and reboot if notice. And this already reducing the OC a lot.

Insluso some miners of abnormal form occupy 100% of CPU, so much that it makes the system fail. I have seen several times already Intelibreeeze the remote AM program, hanging using more than 30% of CPU (depends on the model, this almost i3)

It's not me, it's not the other guy, there are many of us who are reporting these errors and it's not my first summer with AM undermining, I know what I'm talking about. Low OC, a lot of ventilation, air extractors, direct air to the platforms, but they can be at 50 degrees and suddenly reboot for no reason or stay in offline miner and restart by the rule.

like they said, deactivate the windows update and configure for mining.
you can't blame AM because of that, they are not windows developer and they are not going to create something to do "auto configure" just with 1 click.
here you have a tutorial...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Zsv-3QDzJQ

by the way, there are many possibilities for the crash, reboot, stopped, etc. I had that problem too....
82  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: any industrial plug to monitor the consumption??? on: June 24, 2019, 03:41:24 AM
Why are you looking for an industrial plug ? I do not see the need for measuring the power 24/7 , why not just get a cheap killawatt and measure the consumption for couple hours, it will give you the average and that will probably be it all year , decade long.

I don't understand why would you want to invest a lot of money doing something that might might "unnecessary" , it's not like the gears will consume different power everyday , unless I am missing something!

here is the missing part...

I was going to install it in my mom's apartment (back once per 2 months +-) and the building has some regulations about the electricity. Because of safety in all aspect, I will place it in my friends warehouse that it's in another city.

My safety concern is the installation, fire, comfort. I saw some news that some people burned the building, got fined because of regulation, etc....

Like I said above, smart plug are not industrial and some people reported burned, so imagine if I plug it to an Asic miner.

The power usage can vary a lot throughout the day, so maybe you can use the killawatt for one day to get a daily average?

Or you could get a metered PDU to test the miners on - https://www.geistglobal.com/products/power-distribution/metered-pdus

Yea I was looking on some PDU but... too expensive and not really sure if will be suitable for me, too many options with upgrades and it's used on servers.

After all research I saw something really interesting...

https://www.netio-products.com/en/device/netio-4all

That's what I'm looking for but the price is little too high, if I can get it with the shipping fee, it will be like a PDU price. I didn't have time to check the other 2 models, it might be the answer...

83  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinminingcentral.com scam or not scam??? on: June 23, 2019, 05:37:01 AM
https://coinminingcentral.com/

Anybody bought something on this website???
I can barely find anything about them, which usually means that the smarter thing to do is to stay the hell away from them.

There's a couple threads about them, but none are conclusive.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118346.0 user more or less states he didn't receive his miner.

Also what's interesting is that they have 103 ratings on https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/coin-mining-central/
100 being 5 stars, 3 ratings of 3 stars.. Odd.

You'd think that with 100 reviews on CC, they'd atleast have some more discussion around them on other sites/forums/the internet in general, as atleast a couple thousand people have bought miners from them
(I'm assuming that only 1 in 10 leaves a review on Cryptocompare, which i think is still generous, considering almost no one leaves reviews nowadays, unless the product is shit/a scam.)
But no, there's absolutely nothing to be found about them.

I'd stay away.

I saw that about the other threat & Cryoticompare, and yes i would stay away because seems to be suspicious.

also it has new models that was never published, like Z11J & Z11E

85  Bitcoin / Mining support / any industrial plug to monitor the consumption??? on: June 21, 2019, 03:43:31 AM
hi guys, i'm thinking to attach some industrial plug to monitor the consumption for each Asic miner, but I can't find a proper one.

my concern is the safety. any suggestions???

I was looking on these, but i don't like it...

Belkin Wemo = Smart Plug, not industrial and someone reported with burn
TP-Link HS110 = Smart Plug, not industrial and someone reported with burn
Inkbird = Temperature & humidity controller, industrial, one of the Wifi is 1100w only. other models are not suitable to monitor & control.
Standard plug = it gives watt, amp, consumption, etc. at the moment there are no problems but it looks cheap, it cost $15. no Wifi.
Efergy Ego Smart = not really sure, it has 3 stars ratting on amazon
EnergyVIEW Pro = only 1200w and I can't find any datasheet. it's available in Sri Lanka

if there is a chance to find out any information like address, id, photo, etc. would be awesome to do the payback

Before we start advertising the mining companies we perform several steps to confirm the truthfulness of the company including a video call to check the equipment in operation.
However, just to note that we are only advertising mining companies and that we have no influence on their business.

that's the same words coming from Vladimir Cosic, who is the support guy from Cryptocompare taking my case. It sounds like they give a shit, as long as they get paid from advertisements.
88  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of SatoshiMiners & Cryptocompare's review!!! on: June 03, 2019, 12:58:17 PM
after reporting to Cryptocompare, a guy in charge will help me to contact the scammer.

supposedly they have a verification process to get the truthfulness of the company, but it seems they failed because they got lied too. so i'm wondering what kind of process they have.

hopefully they have the scammer's ID to sue him. now the only thing that I can do is pray and wait for cryptocompare, not happy to lose my coins.

admin, please do not delete and help to move it to the correct place. thanks

i "bought" an X1 on satoshiminers, supposedly it is based in Netherlands but it is not, the IP address gives me to Panama or Curacao (45.227.252.166)
purchased on May 23 and have no tracking number, also no replies of my emails.

most of the comments on Cryptocompare are from the scammer, i didn't saw the comments of those people who got scammed because i didn't login. On May 31 i sent an email to them and will see if they reply and how will solve it.

beware of those 2 websites!!!

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Profit Switching for Blackminer F1??? on: January 29, 2019, 02:46:27 AM
Guys...

I want to buy a Blackminer F1 and still doing some research. I don't see what software can do the profit switching like the Awesome Miner, any idea???
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: March 20, 2018, 06:53:54 AM
with the 4.5.5 bug still can do autoswitch??? cause I've been mining BTG and didn't switch to other like ZEC or ZEN
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - NEW!Multialgo, autoexchange, 0% fee, 160+ coins on: March 16, 2018, 01:26:14 PM
UPDATE

1. We need to purchase more powerful servers, so enabling 0.5% fee for a week or so
It's not fees that drive people away from your pool. Look at other pools, nearly everyone there has a fee, 0.5-2% is pretty standard.
If you put similar fees and arrange better stability and better service and better features, you'll catch them up.

Agree, but now it's kinda late to do it better as many people have zergpool in the blacklist. So many complains and no reply from admin, he only post things when he wants.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - NEW!Multialgo, autoexchange, 0% fee, 160+ coins on: March 15, 2018, 02:31:16 AM
He's actually quite active on the Discord servers dedicated to zergpool.
(During his waking hours)

Someone did ask the same questions but it hasn't been answered yet.

He will never answer the questions as he don't wanna reveal the dark secret he has in the pool. The real question is to yourself asking who in the world makes things for free???

Zergpool 0% fee = stealing 25% of hash + some coins (you better watch)

I quit after the payment and never come back to this scam.

For all of you... feel free to used it if you wanna be robed. If Zergpool honestly charge fee or fix some issues after report, then I would be comfortable to use it. Now my trust is gone....
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: March 2018. Share your 1080ti performance!!! on: March 10, 2018, 02:46:42 AM
Have you tryed https://www.forgetop.com/ ?

IMO very stable and profitable pool!

Well worth checking it out especially with your 1080's !

At the moment not interested because it has only 3 coins. Zclassic not profitable like before, now used to convert to BTCP. BTCP it's brand new and not so sure how stable & profitable is. Zero coin, not sure what is that thing  Huh
Besides, there is only few miners and it’s gonna be more difficult to get something.

I stop mining at mining pool hub due to many people complain about low mining coins. I switch to flypool because the payout is higher.
My gtx 1080 ti performance on equihash algo is 730-759 sol/s stable temp around 55c-63c day and night.

I was planning to test awesome miner but the problem the free version has limited features and hope that is it allowed to monitor and control your miner via smartphone. I was looking for the mobile version to monitor my miner but only desktop version is listed on their download page including the remote agent.

No doubts with awesome miner & mining pool hub, it only has 1.1% fee (0.9% pool fee + 0.2% exchange fee) I can say that it’s 1 of the most reliable and transparent to use.
Now I’m looking for alternatives because February’s difficulty increased and the payout are less. Not their fault but the idea is to share all the best alternatives if something happens (crash, hack, scam, etc.)

About the monitor control, you have 2 methods. TeamViewer (simple with configurable password) or Chrome Remote Desktop (with gmail account). Both are great for Android & IOS smartphones.

 *Zergpool Stats updated!!!
*Flypool added to the list. Recommended by crairezx20

ZergPool & Zpool are brothers???
the web looks similar and people report problems on both
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / March 2018. Share your 1080ti performance!!! on: March 08, 2018, 04:09:53 PM
Guys, the idea is to bring all 1080ti owners that been doing lot of test on miners & pools.
every month the profit drop because of the difficulty, so let's see how much profit you can get & shear to discuss...

POOLS
NiceHash
External Payout 3%

*super easy to use
*I quit because of high fee and low profit

1 1080ti profit: TBD

Minig Pool Hub
1.1% total fee = 0.9% pool fee + 0.2% exchange

I like it because...
*low fee
*you can mine altcoin and exchange to any coin
*control the daily profit
*many algos for autoswitch or mine the most profitable coin in a algo

1 1080ti profit: TBD

ZergPool
0% fee

in doubts of the quality...
*steal 30% of hash rate
*many people have problems with this pool
*seems to be the brother of Zpool and have a bad reputation
*mining profit spikes too high that it's unreal (this is because of the value of shit coin)
*Dev support not replying to technical questions. Afraid to reveal hidden secrets

the good thing is...
*you can mine lot of shit coins
*mines 2 or 3 coins at the same time in a algo
*0.004 payout on sunday (some people didn't get paid)

1 1080ti profit: TBD

Flypool (recommended by crairezx20)
1% fee

Pro
*Mine Zcash, the most profitable on equihash
*Part of Ethermine which they have a very good reputation
*1 of the lowest payout with 0.001 ZEC

Cons
*only Zcash. Sometimes other coins are more profitable.
*Lyra2Rev2 is the second porfitable algo and not available. So keep in mind what you want to mine

INTERFACE

Awesome Miner
the only cons are...
*need to pay for more features (reasonable in my point of view)
*Limited pools available for profit switching
*can't add mining software

Sniffdog
I need to test and might do it next week

OC/UC
For Nvidia is not difficult to do it with afterburner or GPU Tweak II. Lot of people fail to OC because of the power limit that is not enough, for this, need to use a power monitor.
Playing with OC/UC I could control the temperature and hash rat. Note: giving more clock to the limit, the hash rate drops
this is my results on equihash

BTG
GPU Clock 65 / Memory Clock 303
716~742 sol/s

Zcash
GPU Clock 65 / Memory Clock 303
730~740 sol/s

Zencash
GPU Clock 65 / Memory Clock 303
722~737 sol/s

*tested with a Platimax 1350w on a rig with 4 1080ti

PS: the objective is to get BTC at the end for cashout. I can update the status if everybody share

you are right, I didn't pay attention to the part of the numbers. If it is 7 it should say 6+1 M.2 (like the others)
Lot of people makes the same mistake asking about the 7th GPU through M.2
Good to know, thanks

Hey HardBlockMiner...

How long you've been mining with Zergpool???
also would like to know if you are using Awesome miner, or some other miners???

asking because i just switch to Zergpool from MPH and would like to know your experience. MPH was giving me fixed number and zergpool is giving me like unreal numbers
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - NEW!Multialgo, autoexchange, 0% fee, 160+ coins on: March 07, 2018, 01:40:00 PM
Hey Pinpins, doubt with the profit numbers...

I have 4 1080ti running Ccminer with Awesome miner in your pool. I enabled all algorithms for autoswitch and when mining 1 algo, sometimes mine 2 or 3 coins and the profit says $20, or $40 in some cases. Later on I look my balance and the numbers are low.

my questions is, how real is the profit number when it's mining??? in some occasion it spikes to $112 (seems to be unreal)
I was with MPH on Equihash & Lyra2rev2 and was giving me like $13
