2 cubes please, depending on price

Anyone else noticed that sometimes the LED's on the Blues just blink red on and off but sometimes they light up alternate yellow > orange > red and don't blink at all?

It doesn't make any difference to the hashing speed, just wondered why this was
83  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: November 10, 2013, 12:44:00 PM
The harder it is to achieve ROI, the less attractive mining for profit will be to the bitcoin community. This will then decrease the demand for mining equipment and make it too risky for companies to manufacture it or develop new technology. Very few companies will have the infrastructure in place to produce mining equipment at a price that can meet market demand.

The difficulty won't continue to rise at it's current rate for much longer, it will level out and increase the chances of ROI for some of the older equipment.

My BlueFury arrived today from Outcast3K. Why is the LED blinking in Red? Should it be Blue?

The Blue Fury gets it's name from the Blue PCB, not the LED

My LEDs are flashing red and orange

Huh, I now read it as Blue PCB and Red LED.  I'm sure it said Blue LED earlier...
Yes it did. I was confused with what the EE told me. Didn't realise it was just a blue pcb change.

Why do people suck on friedcat's nuts so much?  You know he will price these things just out of your reach like he did with blades and usb sticks.

He would rather keep them and mine for himself than give them away for too low of a price.  At least when I was selling my BFL's I was nice to people helping them try to ROI and resell for themselves.

Bitter much?
86  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Blue Fury Support Thread. on: November 08, 2013, 01:03:30 PM
My Bluefury's finally arrived today and I have spent the last 2 hours trying to set them up.

I have gone through every post here, tried every solution offered... bfgminer 3.5.1, bfgminer 3.2.1, bigpic:all, BF1:all... My drivers were installed (I right clicked on the bf1.ini and installed weeks ago in anticipation) all the Bluefury's I was plugging in were being recognised without any driver errors... I tried the .bat but nothing would work.

I am using the 10port Anker hubs which are USB 3, on Windows 7 x64.

Then I tried a Blue in the tower usb socket which is USB 2. BFGMiner detected the Blue and it began hashing @ 2.3GHs. I plugged my hubs into USB 2 sockets and now all Blues are happily hashing. For some reason, the Blues are not being detected by BFGMiner when they are in USB 3

I got it working with the version of BFGMiner given here by bitterdog.

I think I am going to move to Dartmouth and set up a shop close to where Outcast lives and sell parcel tape. I would be a very rich man lol

Would like to see a picture of what a cube looks like.

Maybe with the increase in value of BTC, these cubes maybe sold for less than currently advertised by the time they are ready to be sold.

I would really like to see some pictures of the Cube Smiley

Who in their right mind would want to be a reseller for you? You are now saying it is Outcast's fault that our order is one of the last to be sent out because he sent you the payment too late? You are unbelievable.
91  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: November 03, 2013, 11:15:18 AM
Hashing is not the only way to get a ROI for your mining equipment. In fact, it is probably the worst way.

In some cases, smashing it with a hammer is only slightly less profitable.
92  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: November 03, 2013, 10:16:10 AM

Dude, are you high or something? Do you realise each day that passes and the Blues haven't shipped, it literally costs you money?

How many people do you think would order something... anything, if the given delivery date was "will get there when it gets there"? What a ridiculous thing to say.

Sure, this is not as bad as BFL... but I really don't think BFL's conduct is a benchmark for other companies to try to achieve better.
93  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: November 02, 2013, 09:50:26 PM

I can't say, but the rest of outcast order will ship next week. The majority of resellers have received units and we are shipping them out the day they are manufactured.

Surely you know how many units you have shipped? Not even an estimate? 400? maybe 300?

Or is the number that you shipped so low, you are not comfortable posting it on the forum?

You may have had a few problems with production but you are now 4 weeks behind. When we made our orders, we were promised the ship date would be the 1st week in October... it is now November and still only a tiny fraction have shipped. The compensation offered did not cover the delay your customers have been made to endure. You decided on the level of compensation before you even know exactly how much time you needed to compensate. You were only 2 weeks behind when you announced the 0.05btc... but wait... if you gave any more compensation, you would be out of pocket... so it is far better you customers lose their money instead, right?

What have you done to compensate your resellers? What have you done to ease the stress they are under dealing with their frustrated customers? The way you have treated them is a disgrace. You can't even reassure them how many units they can expect to receive in their delivery so they can then in turn reassure their customers that their orders will soon arrive and deal with the other customers that will be asked to wait longer. Outcast for example, has an outstanding reputation and is highly trusted within the community. Sure, the majority people know that the delays are not his fault but there will be some that will hesitate before buying from him again in the future. Your mistakes and false promises will have hurt his business, there is no doubt about that.

ROI is a long distant memory now for your customers, a bit of honesty would at least help you retain some credibility within the community.

Outcast, sorting out everyone's compensation is going to be a nightmare... just do what ever is easiest and most convenient for you Smiley
95  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: NEW PRICE! RED FURY is back! 2.6Gh/s USB - IN HAND, Ships to you today on: October 31, 2013, 07:27:21 PM
I would like some but the price is far too high. For 0.6btc I could buy 14 USB erupters and have double the hashing power.
96  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: October 31, 2013, 03:01:42 PM
Those complaining about delays, when they're only reselling for profit, should STFU - some of us buy these things to mine with.  Bizarre concept, mining with miners, eh?

I bought some to sell and some to mine with. The ones I sell were intended to mitigate the ROI on the ones I keep to mine with. Only now, I am expecting to lose money on the ones I planned to sell. The only guaranteed way of turning a profit in Bitcoin mining, is by selling the equipment for it.

The people who have decided to resell their Blues have very good reason to complain as in the last 3 weeks, the price of USB/Blade erupters have dropped so low, it has caused a big shift in the market for £/GHs ratio... leaving people that purchased BlueFury's far behind the curve. If you could get the BTC for the Blues you purchased and bought USB erupters instead, you would have almost 3 times the hashing power. Maybe you don't care abotu that fact but people looking to buy mining equipment do and will be more inclined to buy ASICMiner stuff.

There were no rules for buying the Blues, buyers do not HAVE to mine with them. Just because you bought the Blues to mine with does not put in a superior moral position than people who want to sell them.

You will be pleased to see this picture.. I know I am... thought all my hubs were about to become useless

These are RedFurys in this picture, but I would imagine they are roughly the same size as Blues

98  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: October 31, 2013, 12:24:38 AM
Outcast has always said, right from the start, the blues will be sent out in the order of which people paid for them.

If you have pre-sold blues on eBay, then tough... you should not sold something that you did not have in your possession. You screwed the market for any other sellers that did the honourable thing and waited to receive the usb's instead of making promises they could not keep. You tried to be clever and get ahead of anyone else who wanted to sell but it backfired on you. You deserve the crap you are getting from the buyers.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Blue Fury Miners V2 2.6Gh/s on: October 29, 2013, 12:12:40 AM
some people didn't just buy the blues to mine with, some people bought them to resell them. The people that have bought them for resale, will have a very hard job selling them at their planned price point due to competitors prices dropping so much.
