85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: February 14, 2018, 11:48:44 PM
Been lurking for a while on here. Really like the angle DNotes took in approaching funding and crypto in general.

Are there any plans to get marketing / more community involvement? At the moment the subreddit is totally dead and discord seems to be the primary avenue of communication these days (for good reason) where Dnotes has no presence at all. Any plans on stepping up on those fronts around the time of the launch of DNotes 2.0 next month?

looks like i don't qualify. couldn't you just use the metric of how long your account has been around rather than activity? it makes more sense than activity if your goal is to try and keep people from signing up and abusing the system. that just promotes people to make new accounts and spam to get to the desired activity level. with time of account created, that allows lurkers to participate.

let's be honest, there is very limited real discussion on bitcointalk. most comments on this entire forum are just people commenting fake positive comments on projects to get airdrop rewards. activity means nothing on this site unless your target audience are people who try and make a living through airdrop rewards... which is the opposite of what I would expect.
/IN !

urgg... not enough activity. nvm.

If you guys post just 8 more times over the next day you will be able to get in  Smiley

kills me that i have to make meaningless comments to accomplish that though

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON (TRX) Scam on: February 07, 2018, 03:46:20 AM
I don't think it's a scam, but it is 100% an over-valued shit coin in its current state. Still needs to decrease about 30-40x it's current value post-crash to be a reasonable investment. It has nothing and won't amount to anything for quite some time. And all the concerns listed by the OP, many of them are legitimate.

It may not be a scam, but it's shady and absolutely over-valued. That and they have an army of paid shills out there, but you can detect them by their terrible grammar and English. Just watch the next few comments that are likely to follow mine...
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FOR] 🚀Force - The protocol token to decentralize internet🚀 MASTERNODES on: January 19, 2018, 10:27:57 PM

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECA] Electra ⚡ | POW/POS | NIST5 | Super Rewards Bonanza on: January 09, 2018, 03:02:56 AM
Wow. Some not so bright people in this thread.

The ECA wallet, like nearly every other qt wallet, can trigger false flags for trojan virus. There is no virus in the wallet. Even if there were a virus, it would have nothing to do with CoinsMarkets.com going down.

However, ECA did crash CoinsMarkets.com because at the time it was the most popular coin on the site by a large margin and the only site where it was available. It drove huge amounts of traffic to the site and the site has now been trying to create new infrastructure to meet demand. It also drew attention to itself and CM was victim of DDOS attacks. Things CM probably should have been prepared for but it was a low tier exchange in a budding market, this sort of thing is to be expected. If you haven't noticed, all exchanges are having this problem now due to the flood of new blood into the cryptosphere, if you haven't noticed most exchanges have had to stop new user registrations for this reason.

ECA, and to a lesser extent Colx, drove a huge amount of traffic to coinsmarkets and put them on the map. They know this and are actively trying to capitalize on it. They haven't run off with anyone's coins, if they did they wouldn't even bother keeping up the charade. They have too much to lose establishing themselves as a legit exchange.

Finally, I'd like some of what the conspiracy theorist above who thinks ECA and coinsmarkets are in it together is smoking please. That was about as far away from a logical explanation as one can get.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite coins apart from Bitcoin on: December 11, 2017, 12:21:03 AM
You would have to be blind to not see ETH is the future. Even if it isn't the best tech (though if it isn't, it's damn close) it is clearly the safest crypto out there right now. That said, these threads aren't fun to talk about the obvious...

My personal favorites are XBY and XRB.
