81  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: April 08, 2018, 05:12:35 PM
I am pretty much interested to know how many people here uses bitcoin because of it's system, because of the anonymous and the security it provides, and because of the fact that it is really easy to transact over the internet, and there's no one who can just block your account(unlike paypal, a platform that provides an easy way to pay over the internet, but you rely on PayPal to keep your account open).

So, are you guys using bitcoin because of it's nature, or because it's a financial tool of making money?

Both. I am using it to perform transactions easily by not needing banks or what. I am more free to transact and a better privacy.

Also, it is a financial tool for making money by trading or offer my skills in exchange for bitcoins.

Both are great ideas actually and you can do it so no need to choose between them if you can choose both of them.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you thinking about the future? on: April 08, 2018, 05:09:19 PM
Have you ever thought about buying bitcoin for your children as a future investment?
Yeah! Why not? That would be a good investment especially now that it is acquiring a lot of attention and popularity to the people. Though, of course, we should diversify our investment in order to divide the risks. We should be wise to which we invest rather than blindingly throw your money and just ride with the luck for it to go to the moon, make you millionaire or somewhat like that. That would spell the word "doom" for you and to your money. Your kids might have nothing by your failure investments.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the Bitcoin Price Bottomed? on: April 07, 2018, 04:03:41 PM
And it just goes deeper in the dip. I'm not expecting a great increase or pumps really in the near future. Maybe after months or as the year end gets nearer then there might be a substantial increase in price like what happened last year. I'm not really into with short term in terms of BTC but rather in long term.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: April 07, 2018, 04:00:47 PM
Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

So as much as we can, also invest with physical properties with what you've earned. For we don't know what will happen next with our money in the digital world.

This is not an advice. It's simply a shared idea.

How about you? What do you have in mind? Undecided

I like what you're saying. You are trying to say that we need to diversify which is a much a better safer approach than putting all eggs in one basket. The future is quiet unpredictable no matter how we predict it there are still these changes that might sprout out so accuracy of predictions aren't that certain though there are these things that we can be sure about. By acknowledging every possibilities that might arise someday, it is a good idea to split your wealth in multiple forms.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines is starting to accept bitcoin. on: April 07, 2018, 03:57:08 PM
Our country just recently held a seminar introducing bitcoin in our country. The said seminar were facilitated
by bitcoin experts and government officials in pursuit of using bitcoin as another form of payment and regulation of it as well.

http://www.wheninmanila.com/5-things-i-learned-about-bitcoin-and-cryptocurrency/
That's a good news really. Aside from Japan, another government is thinking of doing the same by constructing a good regulation about Bitcoin which will make a good impact to other countries as well and let's hope that more will follow along with it.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20 year old girl with 300 bitcoin, still in a pity situation. on: April 07, 2018, 03:54:04 PM
I think the title is quiet misleading considering that she doesn't have possession of the said wealth that values massively in the current price.

It is quiet sad to hear. But the sadder thing might be if she didn't benefit anything or just a little to the bitcoins that she entrusted her sister with. I would always say that you should be the one to keep track of your assets especially in Bitcoin which gives you the freedom and convenience over your funds.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of cryptocurrency on: April 07, 2018, 03:50:27 PM
I'll tell you now that you should educate yourself. You sound so ignorant like you don't know a damn thing about "cryptocurrency." Comeback when you know it and look how stupid your post is. It is quiet sad that people like you are in the cryptoworld and yet doesn't know the essential things about it.
88  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you believe God exists? on: April 07, 2018, 03:44:12 PM
Personally, I stand in the middle. Both sides could not even prove or disprove the other. Both lacking the explanation of the questions we bear in mind. That being said, we could not argue much about it since the information we have at the moment is insufficient to justify what we believe in.

The fact remains that there are religions out there who gave good morals to people, to teach them the conscience aside from knowing what's right and wrong, good and bad. There are also religions who are stepping down the morality like those people in ancient times where they kill a person for just asking a blessing to a supreme being which we all didn't believe to it now.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin investment on: April 07, 2018, 03:37:04 PM
Now is the right time though if you're planning to invest in Bitcoin in a long term basis then it doesn't really matter what price will you buy now as long as you bought some. By doing so, it will save you from all the dramas going on due to the huge fall that Bitcoin is having.
90  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a house with BTC on: March 31, 2018, 10:49:58 AM
Can you buy a house with BTC? Yes! All you need is a buyer with coins and a seller that will accept them. The value of the transaction is as of the date of the contract, when the coins change hands.
But still, it is much better to do it in fiats since there are more clearer to justify since it is well defined in the law. Though that would be great since it will save you time converting it to fiats and also by using Bitcoin in a much more diversified transaction then it would have a good impact to its market.
91  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: March 31, 2018, 10:44:41 AM
Because of the media reporting terrorist in pursuit of the Islam that they want.

In addition, there are some of these Muslims who pushed their belief to other people and even mock other for not believing what they see as the true religion.

But of course, not all of them are like that. There are kind Muslims too.
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: March 31, 2018, 10:41:40 AM
Technology is not always a good thing.

One example is with the children.
In the old days, children used to play outside with their friends.
Now majority of them are just staring at their iPads.

In other words, the physical fitness of those kids and some teens are at stake when they prefer to spend most of their time playing in the computers, tablets and other gadget. Another thing is their eyesight which would really be damaged early on.

Technology is okay but too much exposure can be dangerous and unhealthy.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: March 31, 2018, 10:38:19 AM
Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
No. No matter how I love cryptocurrencies, I still not am convince that it can replace paper money or fiats. Fiats are vital to the economic prosperity and has this characteristics which cryptocurrencies doesn't have especially the fact that it can be represented in physical form but of course cryptocurrencies have characteristics that fiats don't.

They should not try to erase the other. It would be good for the two of them to continue to exist.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I stop looking at Bitcoin Price on: March 31, 2018, 10:35:02 AM
It doesn't really bother me much about all these ruckus and I chose to continue hold them in a much longer run. The problem is those who brought bitcoins at its peak which would really hurt them since it falls more than half of its price which could be really astounding which means the greater you brought at that price then the greater your losses. Anyway, the future holds a lot of breakthrough to its price though the time frame is quiet uncertain.
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: end of March 2018 became a bitcoin rest place. on: March 31, 2018, 10:31:14 AM
I do not think bitcoin will fall back to $ 6000, is it time for bitcoin to rest? and replaced by ETH or Ripple?

I want your answer based by the reasons.
People making a big deal out of this.

Guys. Come on. Those who brought Bitcoin at the peak aren't knowledgeable with the market and been a victim of missing the train and now that it corrected itself. It is healthy to pull itself back from those extreme rise and before the year ends we will see new records setting up in a much more logical rise.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: March 31, 2018, 06:26:54 AM
It is safe to say that it is an asset that functions like a currency. It depends really where you will get the definition of what a "currency" is because the law in your country might define it something like a fiat. Nonetheless, I care less about it as long as I can use like a currency and at the same time making me an investor. Either you are aware or not, as long as you use Bitcoin then you are automatically an investor.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: March 31, 2018, 05:49:10 AM
Ethereum or Litecoin would probably take the place of bitcoin. If bitcoin were to die tomorrow, it would probably drag down the altcoins with it as well, but if you give altcoins some time until they can establish themselves, they wouldn't be harmed in my opinion. An altcoin may eventually take the place of btc as the best crypto as well, especially considering the scalability issues that btc might face in the near future.
Yep. Crypto is not all about Bitcoin really but we do know that Bitcoin played a huge role in shaping the cryptoworld. If people lose interest in Bitcoin then for sure there is a better coins who rose which will take its place either a new one or an existing one.

Ethereum is the 2nd biggest market next to Bitcoin so it is not a surprise if it will take Bitcoin's spot if the network can't scale and losses its demand.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: March 30, 2018, 04:44:05 PM
It is know that bitcoin has made a few millionaires, but many of these people donīt have any particular knowledge of the economy nor business. Do you think that is a fair situation?
It is. There are the ones who are here in Bitcoin and believed on it or just stumble it first then forget about and after some time remembered it. It is now up to them what they will do to their wealth. So, you think it much more fairer to steal it to them then give it to those who have particular knowledge about economy or business? Why don't they just concentrate of becoming one than being so devoured about other people's achievement. They have and its theirs so you are out of it as how will they spend it as long it is not something bad which will create unpleasant things.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: March 30, 2018, 04:40:26 PM
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,
What do you mean? The network? If so then it is safe. The fact that it is decentralized makes it more secure than those who are not. The fact that Bitcoin can scale is a good thing. The technology might grow that has a much more computing power than it was makes Bitcoin to adjust and upgrade its technology and counter those who threatens its security by making it much more secure than what it was. This is the fascinating thing really.
100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the real problem of man? on: March 30, 2018, 04:37:38 PM
State your own opinion by your own perspective let us share ideas and thoughts about this.
The problem is that they aren't doing what is right despite of knowing what is right from wrong. Distinguishing both of these aren't enough, you need to build up that principle, the attitude for it to take these into actions.

The other thing is that there are some people who don't know how to listen and thinks that they don't need to since they somewhat know it all which is quiet lame.
