I had to add restrictions to the bonuses that can be claimed with reward points and increase the prices because there was way too much abuse going on there. Abusers had figured out that they could break even in less than 3 hours with 3 different bonuses running at the same time and the number of free plays per day increased by almost 50% with no increase in other activity. They were claiming with a captcha to start, then buying lottery tickets to reach the point where they could play without a captcha and then redeeming 3 max bonuses at once and claiming for the full 24 hours, all while collecting referral commissions as well. It was bleeding us dry.
Even now, if you have 3 bonuses running at the same time, you can break even in less than 6 hours ((15/24)^3). It's not bad at all if you plan your redemptions properly and you can do those during the weekend to collect the extra RP as well.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been working on the website to better optimize it to handle more players playing at the same time because in its current form, the website would be unable to handle even a 100 simultaneous players. Until this is done, I am holding off on making any internal changes or doing promotions because it would make the website unstable if it has significant traffic. In terms of the hard fork, the policy in FreeBitco.in would also apply here, which I am quoting below: We feel that the possibility of a hard fork has been greatly exaggerated, however we are prepared to deal with it if it does happen.
If there is a hard fork, we shall always follow the longest chain (the chain with the most proof of work) as our primary coin. Bitcoins on the secondary chain however, will be made available for withdrawal by users after there has been a clear winning chain. So for each satoshi that users have with us, they will receive 2 (or more if there are multiple forks), one on the longest chain and one in the minority chain/s.
If there is a chance of a hard fork being successful and causing disruption to the network, we shall pause all deposits and withdrawals before the scheduled hard-fork time and resume them only after there has been a clear winning chain. |

I spent way more than I should have on nh rentals and never had a diff issue, must be something new on their end.  Nicehash shows the order as dead and status as "Disconnected. Pool difficulty too low." but they haven't refunded me the remaining money for the order and are also not sending any hash to ckpool. Made another deposit to try it out but waiting for confirmations for over an hour now. |

Is there any way to set the minimum difficulty for the pool? I would like to help out with some rentals to crack the first block.
Not really with rentals, no. But then people have rented up to 16PH without a problem on this pool. It's designed to cope easily with massive hashrates (though it hasn't seen that much of them yet.) I tried renting at Nice Hash but it stopped my order because they need a minimum starting difficulty of 16384. No way to get around this? |

the chart that shows the amount of interest day by day has vanished, any idea why?  We suffered multiple drive failures in the server storing non-important stuff like the interest history. I was able to recreate the data for most users from the cache but some were lost. It should not affect the actual interest credited to your account though, only the daily interest payment stats will not show for some users but the total interest paid amount will be correct. Sorry for the inconvenience. |

Haven't check my email yet but hopefully my handful tickets have won. Since you used the word 'first', how did you guys draw previous lottery rounds? There was no provably fair system in place to prove that the lottery was fair and people like myself have been bitchn and moaning about this for months. Wetsuit listened to his users complaints and he has worked on a solution to make this provably fair. I hope someone with enough knowledge can scrutinize this method and see if this is 100% fair. I am just glad that we are seeing something positive coming from this, after all of these months. ^smile^ That is correct. Why don't you try to verify the results yourself and if you get stuck at some step, just ask and I'll be happy to help you verify. A few accounts with the same IP should be fine. We have background checks to determine if a user is a human or not beyond the IP address. It's not perfect but it seems to do the job fairly well. If it determines that a player is not human or maybe abusing with multiple accounts, it will only allow 1 account to play for that IP. However, if someone tries to abuse on a large scale with say 100 accounts - all the accounts will get blocked from the faucet. Anything you have in your balance until then will still be there are you will be able to withdraw/refer/play dice etc, only the faucet will be blocked. I have tried to make it as soft as possible while still allowing genuine users to play.
Ok, that makes a lot more sense now. So having more accounts are not frowned on, if those accounts are backed by real users/humans. How are you eliminating bots without the Captha system now or are you just scrutinizing the traffic and stopping non-human behaviour? When I had a stab at running a faucet, the bots cleaned me out... so I stopped trying. I guess there are no Bot proof system.  I use multiple methods to filter out bots, it's not perfect and it needs to be constantly revised because bots seem to get smarter every time. |
