That helps, thanks for clarification.
I meant public address, never heard any public keys concept though?

I have been playing with bitcoin keys. Pasted this private key in blockchain and it appeared just as public key. https://blockchain.info/address/5JM4ACqJovsTTVUDTy8hNYFJ7ENvHG7G62AHcqKVAwpggTtXcxCWhat happens if someone sends some bitcoins to this(private) address. This can happen accidentally. I was expecting an alert from blockchain telling me that this is a private key not public address. Can I differentiate private and public address by naked eye?

You can sweep the paper wallet with the Mycelium app. It only uses the private key in ram and then deletes it.
How secure is this method? Is there any chance of being hacked if device is infected?

I guess the current limit is 7/sec. Is there any way to optimise this to 500/sec.
Is litecoin any better for this?

More than 50% can't afford a single satoshi let alone a bitcoin.
Got your point but not sure if single satoshi is that expensive (just yet) ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Why do they allow person to person trading then?

Could someone please explain me why trading on localbitcoins is considered legal but exchanges are illegal?
Exchanges are just automating the orders. I'm missing something obvious here?

Yea, figured the China-market is bigger, but still. The Indian regulation was a little bit worse also as I understand it.
India had no presence in the Bitcoin community or market to begin with, it has nearly zero mining, and just recently opened the 1st exchange (which is now gone), so it had basically zero positive effect on Bitcoin, therefore the negative effects are zero as well. The IMMEDIATE negative effects are very little, but India has a billion people -- about 15% of the world's population, with China having a similar amount. So the effect definitely matters. Or at least WILL matter. I really don't think it'll matter in long term. India and China can't simply afford to miss out on bitcoin. Once bitcoin becomes standard in Europe and USA, they will definitely jump in.

Hi,
I have been using standard Bitcoin client Qt version 4.8.4.. I don't have enough space left on disk so I installed armory on my lixus mint.
Now I want to import my existing encrypted dat file to armory. Is it possible as I'm not able to do it yet?
Appreciate if anyone could guide me to right direction.
Many Thanks

Merry Xmas everyone,
I have a question. On blockchain I can see 46 confirmations (button) next to my transaction. Is it standard? Why so many confirmations are there?
Thanks
