Probably you'll just go with the flow in some coins and just sell them as what do most people do after the coins get listed at in an exchange.
Not everyone will go according to your strategy since pretty much many would just aim for the earning of the coin rather than holding it for a certain amount of time and do the usual "growing a plant" mindset.
I wouldn't say that all altcoins applies to this.
Some coins will just be a dump and pump once they get listed in the exchange, so if I were you try to find new coins because new coins are better to invest more and sell it right away once you already gain x3 on it remember that new coins are commonly a pump and dump so dont invest for too long on it. for shitcoin that used for pumped and dumped scenario maybe avoid it will be better than hold it and wait till proftis 2x or even 3x. we didn't know in which project whales will involved, some of them do flash pump and then leave it. personally i am prefer project will strong fundamental that will build in some periode, utility and product will be main key. |

I don't think it's a problem when more and more altcoins are created, it's just that the problem is how many altcoins are successful and have high prices because many altcoin projects fail and don't get support from investors or whales, so I think when you buy altcoins should be careful not to get trapped in coins that have no potential.
everyone want build their own project altough they know have no capability in crypto tecnology. money will be main reason why so many people build cryptocurrency project, this is the easiest thing to earn money by scamming beginer investors that speculate their money into new project with no qualification. bearish market should be another opportunity for us. in crypto market we could make double direction position. In bullish we could open sell and in bearish we could se futures trading feature to open transaction. there is no limitation for earning profits as long as we have good trading sell. Holding can be a good investment strategy but we should be careful about choosing the best crypto for holding. A lot of people are not interested to involve themselves on trading and they are holding different crypto to earn profit. Both are good for different types of people.
holding suitable for long term purpose, if we shoud do deep research we will find which project were worthed to hold for long term investment. and dont forget holding need good mentality which is used to face uncertain market and bearish market. some investors want to be long term investors but they didnt prepare this factors. |

First of all, I had already configured the "smart chain" in my wallet even before my mistake, so my wallet already had a BNB account and some BNB-based coins.
What I do was check the transaction in BSCScan and then copy the contract of the coin that was moved (this was suggested on a document of binance academy previously shared in this thread).
It takes me time to discover that the contract of that coin was different than the contract offered by SHIB. I had already tried to place the SHIB contract in my "Smart Chain wallet - Add new Coin" option, but the coin was not found (which is logical since the original contract is ETH based).
When I put the contract of the coin that I get form the BSCScan website in my "smart Chain" wallet, then something like a SHIB version for BNB just showed up. I add it and my almost 7 million SHIB was there.
Of course, my SHIB is now on a BNB wallet, in order to claim them or do something I need to move to a ETH based wallet, but they are there... safe...
This is my explanation of what happened, I have probably misused some terminology due to my ignorance on the subject.

we should not careless when decided buying old coins in market, make sure this project still have active developtment and also already create product which is have utility in ecosystem. If this condition didnt met at all, maybe we have to research and move to another projects that have this points. of course all altcoin price movements will depend on bitcoin because bitcoin is the mother of all existing cryptocurrencies, when the bitcoin price goes up the altcoin price will also go up, when the bitcoin price goes down the altcoin price will also definitely go down, so bitcoin is the main mover of all existing cryptocurrency prices.

I seem @CZ_Binance CEO of Binance was tweet about High gas fees. After that post Eth gas fee goes down. Now fees very low. $0.5-1.5 for ETH Transfer and $1-$5 for ERC-20 Transfer. It's Seems normal
its good for us now if eth gas fee drop alot, now we can send or trade token in uniswap which is usually need high fee transaction. no more limitation in trades or sending token , so it will attract higher trading volume in decentralized exchanges.hopefully it will running and not due this ethereum price fall. |

Price action trading is golden, only those who know it will profit from it. Usually price action is a technical analysis which factors everything into consideration. So using it means you don't have to borther about external factors.

Many people thought other altcoin like polkadot, bsc etc will replace ethereum when the fee on ethereum was really expensive. for the top 5 altcoins in CMC it is certainly not a problem to keep them for 5 years, because it is clear that the quality and skills they are in the market will continue to improve from time to time to always be the best.
Well, it all depends on what we hold. however, holding shitcoin for 5 years would be a waste of time of course. is different from holding popular coins. if holding Bitcoin, BNB, ETH, or any other popular coin 5 years ago, I think it's been very profitable. shitcoin in 5 years could be gone from market . for long term investment , we have to hold project with high quality product and their developers regularly send an update to investors or community. this our way to track how about progress that running and not be scamm. outside top 10 cms we must really concern about their progess delivering product. |

I am plaaning to invest on alts 2024. For the moment i keep my usdt. I am thinking that these coins still at higher prices , they will sure more 80-90% down.

I hope you're right because the moment that you are waiting for 3 years, you are simply wasting a lot of time. Why not start it now if you still have the plan to invest? But anyway, I don't recommend any coins to invest in but just BTC and ETH, or you may consider BNB as well. There are a lot of possible changes that will happen in 3 years and that makes it hard to tell which altcoins have the potential or it remains potential than those I've mentioned. doing nothing in 3 year with our money was useless thing. we can find alot opportunity in this market, remember price will not always drop. in this drop we find many opportnunity to buy and hold it for a while. in 3years there are lot changes in market , fundamentally or technically and it could globally change crypto market insigth. |
