New idea! Chandrew, your address in personal information area below your name is not visible completely on a 18.5" monitor. How will someone tip you in case if they want to?

You may use just first bits of the address  Smiley

not understanding the public/shared/private addresses.

I am trying to sell a helloworld.txt file

I see your point - it's not clear.
Public/Secure is http/https access. This is the link you give your friends/customers.
Private - this is a link for you, to change settings in the future.
what kind of address link goes there? a bitbin.co link? your own personal link (another domain)?

Coinbase.com would be your best bet. Also see: https://coinbase.com/merchants

The customers would need to already have bitcoin and a BTC address to buy from you. Coinbase can deal with transfers in USD.

Well, actually they missed my payment yesterday, so my guess it's that the site is not reliable.

I got 0.00010147 BTC stuck there right now.

FRAUD!

they pay out.

99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase verification/ Wait period Inquiry on: December 09, 2013, 08:53:55 PM
If I do the deposit verification (takes 2-3) days on Coinbase, will this make it so all my future transactions are instant instead of having to wait that 5 day period that I've seen other users talking about?

Also, if I do buy a bitcoin, say it is priced at 500 USD, but the transaction takes 5 days to go thru and by the time it goes through a single bitcoin is worth 700 USD, only 500 will be removed from my account, correct?

there is an autobuy feature on coinbase which is instant.

yes, you will only be charged $500
