82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Technical Analysis – How Low Can It Go? on: October 26, 2015, 06:36:38 AM
what was the original founding price vs today? looking to pick up a few to play with.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i am looking for a place to store my nxt and have it stake on: October 26, 2015, 04:39:22 AM
u can just use the core desktop wallet to stake, but you'll need to leave ur computer on all the time. your best bet is to just get a cheap digital ocean vps and install nxt on it and stake with it 24/7. install is very very easy. then u can login to ur nxt server from ur browser. the current 1.5.15 version is more or less mobile functional to do basic stuff, but its still being worked on.

you can connect to any of the 2000+ nxt nodes out there to test it out on your mobile: http://nxtpeers.com  -- remove the /test in the url to get to the wallet when clicking on any of those nodes.

get you wallet from www.nxt.org

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT Launches Marketing Project, Codenamed “Project Tennessee” on: October 26, 2015, 03:43:43 AM
seems like these guys made it to raising 10 million nxt ($100k USD or 333 BTC) for marketing. pretty impressive feat!

was there another coin that had something similar with community funding after a coin has been released?
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ■ 21 NXT Computer by Supernet vs 21 Bitcoin Computer from 21 inc. -- on Amazon? on: October 23, 2015, 06:16:19 AM

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: October 22, 2015, 04:46:30 PM
To guarantee development past release 1.7, when faced with continued price decline and almost no marketing, we need your support for the Tennessee project. Show us that you care.

best to support the TNSSEE project as that has to do with marketing nxt which is much needed. Marketing Funding is almost there 80% complete any amount helps.

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ■ 21 NXT Computer by Supernet vs 21 Bitcoin Computer from 21 inc. -- on Amazon? on: October 21, 2015, 03:24:50 PM
definitely dont need a new designed asic to run. any raspberry pi would do. only issue its not "Bitcoin", but im sure it has other uses for it.

the thing is it can accept/send btc as the supernet platform is also integrated into it, so it is kind of an agnostic crypto device.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ■ 21 NXT Computer by Supernet vs 21 Bitcoin Computer from 21 inc. -- on Amazon? on: October 21, 2015, 04:16:53 AM

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ■ 21 NXT Computer by Supernet vs 21 Bitcoin Computer from 21 inc. -- on Amazon? on: October 20, 2015, 06:06:31 PM

- The 21 NXT Computer is the first computer with native hardware and software support for the NXT Protocol.
- Operate it as a standalone computer and access it via any mobile or desktop browser.
- Easily build on top of NXT decentralized services such as the marketplace, asset exchange, monetary system, and more.
- Has a suite of pre-configured NXT and SuperNet dependent software and includes 64 GB SD card loaded with a full copy of the Blockchain.
- Leave your NXT computer running to link up with nearby NXT computers on a wifi Mesh Network utilizing CJDNS and NXT Aliases.

------

- Perfect for remote rural locations without access to the interent.
- Mine/Forge without the need of expensive ASIC hardware.
- Create your own Monetary System currency to use in your local community and access it using only 1 computer.
- Integrate the NXT computer into IoT devices for cross communication of devices using Arbitrary Messages.
- Open source software + hardware

Who wants to buy one?
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CoinOutlet uses NXT on the backend.... Interesting use case. on: October 19, 2015, 05:10:00 PM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN0gUIVYu2s&feature=youtu.be&t=11m19s

this was an interesting use case for nxt messaging. seems like they are using it to store their transaction data on the nxt blockchain whenever someone uses their atm.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 21.co just took on Ethereum on: October 08, 2015, 03:41:57 PM
So these 21 built computers are going to do the smart contract processing. Only issue is the cost of buying a machine for that vs etheruem just downloading it. Technically 21 made an altcoin but hardware based. If I'm correct, it's a Trojan horse in disguise in a good way. Knowing btc heads are against any alts, why not built on top of btc then introduce another coin/fee payment system later on using the same hardware. Say if you wanted 1 minute confirmations, that's not possible with btc. But if you introduced a new feature in these mini computers to allow such a thing, you then have an alt sitting on top of btc.

Makes sense?
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH collapsing. NxT UP. on: September 29, 2015, 02:59:38 AM

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: September 28, 2015, 07:21:24 PM
I heard Max is planning to move startcoin into NXT's monetary system like how Nautilus coin is doing it now.

Any info on this?
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik writes Dear John letter to the Ethereum community... on: September 28, 2015, 07:16:39 PM
its called smart marketing....

1. fund ethereum with your own BTC
2. work for ethereum for a large salary (150-200k).
3. Get money back
4. Market it as having raised the largest amount in crypto.
5. pay talented marketers big bucks to hype it.
6. gg...

smart and clever.

i still believe ethereum is good, but its original intention is not to compete with btc. its a platform, just like NXT.

its the applications that gets built on top of it that's whats going to be valuable.
