81  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 13, 2020, 02:49:21 AM
Damn, I just logged into one of my trading accounts, and saw LTC hipping and bipping and dipping, touching $25.00!  And while I was screwing around with the calculator and checking my credit card balance, it bounced back up over $33!  Ethereum went from $96 to $121!  Still not bad prices, but not buying-at-the-bottom either.  Didn't get more coins yet.

I'm hoping everyone who just bought low, just turned around and sold on the flash high, and will drive prices even lower so I can get more for my money.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 13, 2020, 02:09:55 AM
I just checked, and BTC is at $4474 on coinmarketcap, and LTC is $27.50.

Holy camel shit!

I'm buying more LTC.  EOS is down to $1.80 right now, and Ethereum is at $99.

LTC dropped another dollar in the time it took me to write this post!  $26.50 now!  BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!!

83  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 12, 2020, 01:16:56 PM
For once I didn't screw around, I hopped onto one of my trading accounts and bought 10 more LTC just now.  With the coin price plus site fees it cost $370.00.  So essentially $37 per coin.  Not bad.  Now to let it ride to more profits, I need to figure out what my new dollar cost average is, I think I'm HODLing about 62 LTC right now.  Something like that.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 12, 2020, 01:00:54 PM
Litecoin is down to $33.73 right now, I just need to watch the price of BTC and "time the bottom" and purchase more Litecoins at rock bottom prices for MAXIMUM PROFITS!!!

I would've, could've, and should've sold the LTC I bought at $61 for $81 a couple weeks ago, but again  I muffed it up and didn't, so now I have to HODL until the next price bump.
85  Economy / Economics / Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 12, 2020, 11:45:49 AM
Buying opportunity approaching!  I just need to learn when to sell at the right time.

Why are cryptos falling, their prices should be rising like gold at times like this.

I opened up coinmarketcap this morning, saw all the red, and said "holy fucking shit".

Weird times, but whatever, as long as I make a big profit!
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 04, 2020, 01:36:06 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here we go again on: March 04, 2020, 01:33:08 PM
I laugh at how any country thinks they can ban cryptocurrency.  Anywhere there's a network connection, crypto is UNBANNABLE.

If the USA banned crypto, do you think I'd stop?  Hell no.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I YOLO'ed into a snap purchase of LTC tonight!!! on: January 29, 2020, 03:46:29 AM
I couldn't care less about the value, utility, or usefulness of any coin.  I don't care what problems they solve or create.  All I care about is buy low / sell high, more money for me.

LTC has been following BTC for many years, all we need is a good BTC price surge to pull LTC up with it.

I feel like an ass for buying at 61 instead of at 37 like I could have very recently, but there's still lots of upside to the LTC price in even a mild bump like we had in June of last year.  LTC popped from 23 to 140, I had bought in at 30 but stupidly didn't sell at 140, I still have those 15 LTC in addition to the 32 I just got.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I YOLO'ed into a snap purchase of LTC tonight!!! on: January 28, 2020, 05:26:46 AM
Also any profit you make the tax man will collect on his share.

Uh, nope.  Not going to report any income from profits on coins.  My risk, MY MONEY.  It's bad enough my paychecks get ripped off for taxes.

I need to figure a way to withdraw my profits from the exchange without going through a bank.  I don't think I can pay my credit card directly from the exchange.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I YOLO'ed into a snap purchase of LTC tonight!!! on: January 28, 2020, 03:02:35 AM
Yesterday LTC was at $53.  I was confident it might drop a bit more, I had the plan in mind to whip out the credit card and make a multi-thousand dollar purchase.

But this evening I checked the price and not only is BTC rising, LTC was back up over $59!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sssshhhheeeeiiiittttt!!!!

So I kind of went buck wild a little bit.  I had already tested one of my trading accounts last week with a $10 transfer, so I knew the deposit would hit quickly.  I got home from work, whipped out the credit card, logged into my main paypal, and used it to send a purchase of $2000 to my alternate paypal account that I use for the occasional shill bidding deception on ebay or other more private transfers.  From there I did an instant transfer to my bank, then logged to my bank, checked to see it was there, and then logged to my coin trading account (which one is not important), and received $2000 there instantly.  Ah, the wonders of modern communications!

So I quickly snapped up 32.3 LTC for $61.something apiece.

Now LTC price needs to rise a whole hell of a lot so I can make mad profits!

If LTC goes to $62 tomorrow and then drops to $40, I will be unhappy to say the least.

I know, I know, just HODL and it'll rise eventually.  Yes, but sometimes I lack patience, especially when I just threw an additional $2000 of debt on the credit card.

What does Chinese new year have to do with LTC price?  Why would it affect the price?
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Okay, Litecoin price needs to crash again now...... on: January 20, 2020, 02:33:50 PM
I understand, I might not have the right attitude here.  Nothing new for me.

But an unanswered question - what does the Chinese new year have to do with coin prices?  And what's the likely effect of the new year on the short term price moves?  I could understand if they are selling just before years' end to save on taxes of something, but that's American thinking.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Okay, Litecoin price needs to crash again now...... on: January 20, 2020, 03:54:30 AM
I just checked my credit cards, and I have about $8000 of room to play with.  I'm not saying it's a good idea, but if I were to buy maybe $2000 worth of LTC at $40 each, for 50 LTC, and HODL it a couple months to the next price pop, that would be enough to pay back the credit card and give me a few grand extra.

But knowing me, as I do, if I did this and made a decent profit from buying $2000 worth of LTC, I wouldn't be happy, I'd be PISSED that I didn't buy $8000 worth.

I know, I know, be happy for the gains you get, they ARE gains, after all.  And in undeclared, untaxed PROFITS, at least in my case...... Roll Eyes
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Okay, Litecoin price needs to crash again now...... on: January 19, 2020, 01:24:50 PM
I know, I rage too much, but I don't panic.  I'm just trying to get the most for the least.

What does Chinese New Year (January 25) have to do with coin prices?  What about the new year is going to induce them to buy or sell crypto coins?

Litecoin has been a solid performer since 2013, more or less mirroring th BTC price.  I just wish I had more faith in it years ago, when I could have bought many coins for a couple bucks each.

Oh well, make the best of it, try to buy low and sell high.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Okay, Litecoin price needs to crash again now...... on: January 19, 2020, 01:49:16 AM
FUCK!!!  FUCK!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!!

I've been watching the price of LTC slowly dribble downwards, and it got down to $37.  I was planning to buy more LTC below $30.

Then something happened, and prices are bouncing all over the place!  LTC went to 40, 45, 50, 55, and now 60!!!

WAITAMINUTE!!!! I didn't buy more LTC yet!!!  Go back down below $30 to maximize my profits!!!

DAMMITT!!!!!!!
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Looking for the low to buy more Litecoins on: December 24, 2019, 03:26:12 AM
Litecoin dipped under $40 a few days ago, I am looking for prices under $30 to buy more.  I could buy maybe a couple hundred LTC, depending on the price.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: who else think Litecoin will go huge? on: October 22, 2019, 07:22:49 PM
Think back to the 2014-2016 time frame.  In late 2013, when BTC boomed to $1200, LTC rose to $48, which at the time was incredible, considering it had been hovering around $2 for a long time before that.

Then in 2014-2016, it slowly dribbled back down to $2, and many people, including me, thought "SSSshhhheeeiiiitttttt, this coin is OVER!!!"

Boy was I a dumbass for not loading up hardcore on it at $2 in those years, because it boomed to $375 or so in late 2017 while BTC was almost touching $20,000.

It's not the ultimate number that matters, it's the difference between the high and low.  375/2 = 187.5.  Multiply your money times 187.5 !!!  Damn I fucked up on that one, but then again, even with all my coin research since 2013, I could not predict the future that well.

I bought 15 LTC at $30 in early 2019, and should've sold it at $140 in June, but I figured that if I did, the price would continue to rise and leave me behind, like some nerdy kid chasing after the school bus "HEY GUYS WAIT FOR MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!".

So I am HODLing my 15 LTC, and waiting for LTC to drop as low at it can (to at least $30 if not much much lower), then I'll load up on it and sell on the next big price pop.

As for the question of what can Litecoin DO?  Really DO in the world of crypto coins?  Who gives a fuck?  As long as it makes me lots of money, I don't care.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Litecoin dips really low in price, I am buying a LOT! on: October 21, 2019, 01:16:21 AM
I do not understand why people are still shilling Litecoin. For me it is a testnet for Bitcoin, nothing else. Why would you use Litecoin, when you have Lightning Network? Litecoin palns to add privay feature, but Bitcoin can also add this feature.  Smiley

I couldn't care less what Litecoin is ever used for.  If it is ever used for anything.  All I care about is Buy Low + Sell High = PROFITS!!!!!

Last winter I watched the LTC price steadily dribbling downwards.  I could have bought it at $23, but I was waiting for it to get under $20.  Then it started going up, so I had to do an OSHITHURRYUPANDBUYNOW!!!!! thing.  And I got in at $30.

I'm hoping for similar price moves this winter.  If I'm lucky I will time the bottom a little better.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When Litecoin dips really low in price, I am buying a LOT! on: October 20, 2019, 01:42:20 AM
Over the years, Litecoin has been reliable for surging when BTC price pops.  Last winter I bought 15 LTC at $30 each, along with many other alt coins.  However, I foolishly didn't sell it at $140 a few months later and the price has retreated.

So I'll be ready for the next price cycle.  Buy low sell high!  When I feel the price has bottomed, I will buy hundreds of LTC.

I didn't sell my LTC for $140 in June because I thought BTC was beginning its next huge price swing, and it didn't last.  Like me in my wife, it shot its load too soon.   Shocked
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not dead? on: October 20, 2019, 01:37:40 AM
I don't care if Ripple dies or not, I just need it to be pumped hard one more time so I can sell my ~5400 coins and make a huge profit.  Then who cares what happens to Ripple after that!
