81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 15, 2018, 10:56:36 AM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
If i had the money to invest then definitely i will go for ethereum or BCH or both. This two crypto is the crypto that i am eyeing for to invest and why? The current market price for ethereum is so good after a huge fall down and for sure it could go for more as always. And for BCH crypto is also a good crypto because its market volume is the same with bitcoin so if bitcoin will going to tripple its market price then definitely BCH will going to follow and the good thing for BCH is that it is cheaper compared to bitcoin.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason Behind Bitcoin’s Price Crash Revealed on: August 15, 2018, 10:00:44 AM
Early investors in Bitcoin are faced with large capital gain taxes from the profit they made in 2017.

Read more here: https://smartereum.com/5636/the-real-reason-behind-bitcoins-price-crash-revealed-tue-aug-7/

Qoute from that link, way back 2014 IRS made an announcement that crypto's are defined as a property and not a currency.
So as such they are entitle to pay thier taxes as property owners.
So this could be mean the mere reason why crypto market price always falls down. However, i am still confused when they said that it is the year of 2017 that bitcoin should pay the capital gain taxes wherein fact it is already 2018. How come they are not getting it to the record on 2017? Is this really the possible reason behind for the market price adjustments?
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never sold my First bitcoin. Are you also emotionally bound to bitcoin? on: August 14, 2018, 08:45:26 AM
It has been 2 years that I bought my First bitcoin. I have never been able to sell or trade it. Is it only me who is emotionally binded or does this happened with anyone else?

Also, is it a good thing to be emotionally attached so much to Bitcoins?
No actually there is no sense on getting attached to bitcoin unless you brought an expensive bitcoin and until now you are still not getting the amount you invested on bitcoin because of its market price fall down. A huge dip for bitcoin is happening and this is alarming also for the crypto investors.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcointalk vs moonforum on: August 13, 2018, 07:27:06 AM
hi guys today i come to know about there is another cryptocurrency forum launched called moonforum https://www.moonforum.net
i found a bounty thread of MOBU https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4795544 which launched signature campaign for moonforum. This forum  was launched one month ago.

do you thing mf can be an alternate for bitcointalk or bkt will beat it
yes it could be also good to have a different forum for cryptocurrency anyway forums are created for the promotion of cryptocurrency and the traffic also here in the bitcointalk is also heavy that sometimes the discusions are redundant then add up with those spammers that relatively had nothing to do just to post more on the threads even if their comments are not relevant to the topic.
85  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines Legalizes Cryptocurrency Exchanges in Economic Zone on: August 13, 2018, 06:15:49 AM
I knew that Philippine government has an open minded governance when it comes to new system like cryptocurrency. It has foreseen that cryptocurrency would do good in the country so we the government had to embraced it and at the same time regulate cryptocurrency for possible abuse on the system.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some people say Bitcoin and Crypto will disappear from the market, is it really? on: August 13, 2018, 03:53:01 AM
As long as the use of bitcoin and crypto is increasing. Different country and company are constantly bringing new crypto currency to the market. Statistics show that the amount of investment is increasing in the crypto sector. Some banks are already accepting Bitcoin payments. Bitcoin is being used in most countries of the world and there are no restrictions on the use of Bitcoin in those countries. Bitcoins are being accepted on various online sites. Since the discovery of Bitcoin, nearly 2000 more cryptos have come to the market.

Despite the so-called bright future in Bitcoin and Crypto, why do many say that all the cryptos will disappear from market?
don't ever believe on them they are just doing FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) on your faith and believe on the system. If you are weak in your faith of course it will result you to sell your crypto. This is why that you should not believe them instead focus on your crypto holding on what should be done in order to increase its number.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 46% of last year's ICOs have failed already on: August 12, 2018, 08:54:39 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/46-last-years-icos-failed-already/

  • 46% of them are effectively dead already – despite raising over $104 million.
  • 902 crowdsales... 142 failed at the funding stage and a further 276 have since failed
Maybe it is not only 46% of failing ICO projects? Well if it is really 46% then i guess those ICO who failed should conduct a study on how they can get a project successfully or they should know their weakness and strengths on promoting ICO projects. I do believe that it is also the team who market the project will going to determine its success. The more connections the team has with prospect investors the greater chance that the project will going to succeed.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High risk results to high rewards on: August 11, 2018, 01:21:16 PM
https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/4-in-10-americans-will-never-invest-in-bitcoin-says-latest-crypto-study/

I've known some few friends who are into forex and stock investments. When they've learned that I engage myself into crypto trading and investments they discouraged me due to bitcoin's price volatility and unpredictable fluctuations. All I can say to them is that I only invest an amount that I can surely afford to lose and taking huge risks will definitely compensate you good returns as well. I bumped into this article saying that 4 in 10 Americans will never invest in bitcoin, which is somewhat realistic but still history can really tell that bitcoin has changed lots of millennials who took the risk and profited when bitcoin value skyrocketed to almost $20k last year.

So with this article it shows that there is still high percentage of Americans that is willing to take risks to invest in bitcoin just to make some good profit in the near future. What are your thoughts regarding this one? Share me your thoughts.
This is similar to no pain no gain with the army motto on their daily training or excessive exercise to maintain their physical conditions and always ready for war. In cryptocurrency if you do not bleed then therefore you could not earn more or gain more so at this time if an investors willing to spend money for it then possibly the gaining process would be greater and sweeter.
89  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we moving towards Centralized Private Blockchains? on: August 11, 2018, 06:49:21 AM
Today I had an interesting encounter with one of the economists I know. We discussed what Cryptocurrency and Blockchain were and the value behind them.

Here are some key points he brought up:

The dollar is backed by gold, the gold is the bareback of it. What is behind Bitcoin?
What inherent value does Bitcoin have?
We don't know how created it, maybe it's a government funded project
It's just speculation, the technology hasn't been tested yet.

My answers:

At one point, I think I lost because we value Bitcoin in Dollars. So, it's "backed" by dollar technically, even when we use Bitcoin to pay for something, it's calculated in $.

Bitcoin's core values are the following: Open source, censorship resistant, decentralized, peer-to-peer and verification of rules (everyone can be part and run a full node).

We don't know it, and it also can be some guy in his basement for all we know. It's core values prove that this is not government funded project, it can't be. How could they benefit? One of the interesting theories is that they released this untested technology to the masses and let them develop it further to then adopt it if it works.

Yes it is speculation, but internet was a speculation as well back in the days. I heard that when they sent out the first bits of information, the whole internet crashed. The technology needs time to adopt, and since there are so many programmers and IT experts around the world, we will see adoption of this technology even faster than ever before.

But here's the kicker that I have been thinking about since we talked: He believes the private/public sectors will adopt the Blockchain, the governments, businesses to further improve their systems. But it will NOT be an open Blockchain, rather a Centralized Private Blockchain. It will just be Database replaced with the word Blockchain, same principles. Non-censorship resistant and not open source.

I want to know what you guys' thoughts are on this. How would you counter these arguments? Let me know because this last thing has been bugging me the whole day!
yeah some of the exchanges are centralized as we all know of that and when it comes to blockchain for the cryptocurrency then there is a huge possibility to centralized it also as the government for now are entering the world of cryptocurrency and putting it to regularization.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin End Goal on: August 11, 2018, 06:12:24 AM
What is your Bitcoin End Goal?

Is it to get billionaire by it? Or to use bitcoin for all your transactions one day?
These are just two examples, not the only choices of course.

Share what is your End Goal with bitcoin?
Bitcoin will going to end first i think before my goals end? I do not know what happen to bitcoin market price but i am a little bit worried since i have invested small scale for bitcoin and seeing market price falls down for more leads me to doubt if i will going to sell my bitcoin. My end goal for bitcoin for now is not clear and i do not know if i could made it.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: August 10, 2018, 02:41:06 AM
Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?
Of course it is the positive impact of the project with the efforts of bounty hunters to promote the project and without those bounty hunters the project might not be effective on its marketing or spreading the news on the project that include also airdropping.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when cryptocurrencies can be used to buy basic needs? on: August 09, 2018, 07:51:35 AM
A lot of projects are going on blockchain and new cryptocurrencies are being launched day by day but when can we actually see  them floating in real market for real use cases like buying a cigarette or bread? is it possible?
Crypto could be utilize actually depending on the project that has being implemented. There are areas where project is very essential to our life like some of the projects being implemented is focusing products where we could buy those products using the crypto they had offer in exchange as medium.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin in developing countries on: August 09, 2018, 06:24:07 AM
at present, bitcoin is becoming known to people around the world, especially in developing countries. the majority of bitcoin is introduced through news on television and on the internet. Therefore people are starting to want to know what bitcoin is and if it appeals to them, they will invest instead?
Well the government should not be silent on bitcoin, they think bitcoin is disrupting economic stability and there will be inflation in the country.
Do you think that bitcoin will disrupt economic stability and there will be inflation due to bitcoin in a country?
Yes because the money being invested on that particular investor will affect the economy of that country in a small scale and if all the people of that certain country will going to invest in cryptocurrency then the economy for that certain country will going to reduce for investing in cryptocurrency.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin making the world go crazy? on: August 08, 2018, 02:42:20 PM
Bitcoins have made people head spin for 8 years now and become unbelievable since December 2017, when the value of 1 bitcoin rose up to 20 000 USD! But how this phenomenon appeared, what are the causes of this craziness… Found out in this article
https://blog.bitspark.io/why-is-bitcoin-making-the-world-go-crazy/
Yeah i agree with you that is the real reason behind why people risk money to get bitcoin because the craziness starts when market price for bitcoin move from time to time just like as of this moment where people are dumping bitcoin and bitcoin market price falls down to almost its baseline or maybe it could be more than that since we do not know when will bitcoin recover its market price.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment? on: August 08, 2018, 09:43:07 AM
I suggest you to invest on property if you had a huge amount of money that could compensate the expenses wherein in real estate property does need huge amount of money to start with. This is why if you can start investing on property then that would be ideal or if not then proceed with cryptocurrency investment.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't worry, Bitcoin will be fine. on: August 08, 2018, 05:28:15 AM
I wish that this could be easy just like this. Anyway i am not wondering why bitcoin market price falls because it is just normal for the bitcoin to fall wherein it could be the investors who are pulling out their money after seeing market that does not move or even recover. This has been a month wherein market price for bitcoin look so bad. Anyway it could be good somehow to wait and see what will happen next to bitcoin market price movement.

Please follow us on Twitter @_bitcoinpeople

Thanks for reading and we appreciate your support!

Oh this is another form of business being created by bitcoin system. THis is the proof that cryptocurrency could affect the economy growth on smaller scale of percentage. Well this is great and of course anybody will going to embrace this kind of system being created. More people are incorporating their brilliant ideas on cryptocurrency.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the Worst Case Scenario for Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2018, 06:47:41 AM
When system goes shut down. This is the worst case scenario that will happen for bitcoin as we all know that bitcoin has created a lot of business like those local exchanges, crypto mining, computer programming or being a part of IT team developers, bounty hunting and etc. This all will end when bitcoin will shut down.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin holders will have to pay their tax? on: August 07, 2018, 04:10:26 AM
What will happen on BTC if the government will said that all the bitcoin holder have to pay their tax??
Maybe the expansion of BTC community will get low than usual.
And we did already pay taxes on BTC as we all know that before exchanging fiat to crypto in our local exchange, the local exchange will take us a transaction fee for the exchanging process. So definitely this is where tax started because these local exchanges are being regulated by the government and the government will take a percentage tax on the local exchange.
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the Worst Case Scenario for Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2018, 09:43:42 AM
This is a known fact if the price goes up it will surely go down. What happens if the price of Bitcoin falls to $1000 in 2018, will this be considered as a Worst Case Scenario or something else?
Yes that would be the worse scenario to happen for bitcoin and more or less investors that time are already pulling out their investment and then bitcoin will be left as half dead if it will still operate and if it will going to recover again it will not be the same as to what bitcoin nowadays that is so good and has a lot of good things to offer.
