83  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you a crypto beginner? on: March 09, 2018, 03:13:28 AM
Are you new at crytpo and you seem to be making mistakes left and right?

Not to worry. A big part of the learning experience are the mistakes we make as newbies while still finding our feet.

Some are hilarious while others can have devastating consequences. But, all these common mistakes can be easily avoided with a little research.

Here are a few of those:

1. Lost Keys

It is different from forgetting your password or your pin where you can request to reset your pin or have it sent to your email address. There is no customer care for the blockchain and no way to recover your key if you lose it. Be sure to keep this secure at all times.

2. Keeping Coins in Online Wallets

Most newbies after signing up with an exchange service and purchasing their first cryptocurrencies neglect to take them out of the exchanger’s website. Again, this is another case of ignorance, laziness or a combination of both. Be on the look out for this.

3. Not Keeping Hard Copies of Important Information

Very simple yet very effective. Make sure to keep hard copies of everything.

4. Fat-finger Error

Fat-finger error can be defined as a human error that occurs when the wrong key is pressed on a computer (or smartphone) keyboard. Some of the most calamitous trading errors ever recorded in the financial market has been due to fat-finger errors. So type very very carefully.

So there you have it.  Be sure to take a good read and be aware of these easily avoidable common mistakes.

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible and as such, the onus is on the user to carry out due diligence before carrying out any transaction.

I just lost my Qbic coin in my window wallet but I don't know why reason. Someone  entered my wallet and sent all my coin out.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Hello, should a new person to crypto invest in ICO and in which ones to invest to make profit?

I think if you are newbie in crypto, you should not invest in ICO because it requires you have a certain amount of knowledge to analysis this ICO have a potential or not. Don't follow the crowd. They can give you more information but this can be a trick community development of this ICo. Be carefull! The best way is avoiding it before you have enough knowledge about cryptocurrency
85  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I trade coin at the beginning ? on: March 08, 2018, 02:43:25 PM
I'm new to the Cryptocurrency.
Should I trade coin ?

If you are new in the cryptocurrency market, my suggestion is that collect as many information as possible, gain more your knowledge before starting to invest or trade. Then, you should learn the way to analysis charts in stock market. There are many videos or posts guide to analysis charts, you can base on them and give your analysis yourself
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Are The Dangers Of Multiple Coin Wallets? on: March 08, 2018, 02:27:29 PM
I guess if I am buying several cryptocurrencies/altcoins, I would need different wallets to keep them away from the prying eyes of hackers. We have already agreed that leaving the coins with exchanges is not a good option and that using wallets that are server-based is equally not safe enough. The best bet, therefore, is to keep them in hardware or paper wallets.

Now that there are multiple coins/tokens out there and you already have lots of them, practically, is it feasible to have several wallets at a time, especially if they have to be downloaded and installed on your system? If not, what wallet would anyone recommend that can hold BTC and several other altcoins at the same time?

Should one decide to settle for a wallet that has the capacity to store BTC and several altcoins at a time, what are the inherent dangers associated with such a wallet?

In my opinion, if your coin is small, you should store in hardware wallet. If your coin is very large, you can research bank system for Bitcoin such as Bitwala

88  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin destroyed? on: February 25, 2018, 01:55:42 PM
Is it possible to destroy bitcoin?
What are the factors that can destroy it?
How can we prevent this event to occur if this is possible?
Share your thoughts Smiley

I think it's impossible. Because of simple thing, if it is possible to destroy, it haven't had its position like today. And people who are holding a lot of bitcoin all over the world will not let that happens.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to dominate in 2018!!! on: February 25, 2018, 09:36:25 AM
What alts do you think will rise??

personally i feel that alts that are into privacy(like PIVX) and alts related to decentralized exchanges( like BTS) will really get noticed this year..

I think altcoins that have some things here will be raise in 2018:
 + Good Platform
+ Good Developer team and investor can find out information about them easily through website or whitepaper
+ It can solve reality issues such as : pay everthing in life with low fee and quickly, pay for game, Internet of Things....
+ They do marketing well and develope big comminity

92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: sMerit for art ! on: February 24, 2018, 02:45:44 PM
Hi, i have 185 sMerit and since I am not that active, I doubt i could give it to the ones that deserve it and need it the most, so I have these ideas :

1- i will give between 1 and 10* sMerit for everyone that could make an image helping newbies to understand anything related to Bitcoin, Blockchain, wallets, FAQ in bitcointalk.org (Merit, ranking, trust, activity...). It is not required to implement all the informations on 1 image! Make it as simple and clear as possible.
(* depending from the number of participants, most will get between 1-5, exceptional work up to 10. The reward could be decreased in case other members already left sMerit for the participant even if the image was posted before in a different topic/minimum 1 sMerit)

2- I will give between 5-30* sMerit for educative .gif or videos
(* depending from the number of participants, most will get between 5-15, exceptional work up to 30. The reward could be decreased in case other members already left many sMerit for the participant/minimum 5 sMerit. However videos containing pure texts alone -somehow like a book/newspaper- will not get more than 2 sMerit in most cases)

3- I am open for any different idea (making a cartoon or a movie Tongue), anything that could help the Bitcoin community is welcome (no minimum, it will depends on how i see your work Meanwhile the other members are free to give it what they like)

4- Translation of the works that will be posted here to your language is accepted after the approval of the original owner and me (only 1 sMerit).

Rules :
- I prefer to not make a dedicated art for altcoins but you could mention it briefly.
- Do not copy-paste, only (re)post your work. If you found copying, you will be reported and you will likely get a negative trust.
- Other members are welcome to credit nice works
- Legendary & negative trust will not get any reward from me at least (it depends in reality but to avoid problems in the future)
- The reward may take several days to be delivered, i am not that active-time fault!, (do not blame me Cry)
- First came first served until my sMerit turn to 0 (do not blame me for having 0 sMerit!)
- I will not look to any of your previous posts, i will give you a chance to improve after your hard work.
- Oh yeah, those arts could be used later by the community so think to add your nick in the corner.
- Do not reserve a post please
- Afaik this post do not break any unofficial, hidden rule. If not, please tell me to lock it.
- To apply other rules later or not to apply, that is the question.

Edit 1:
- Added "and me" in point 4 to avoid abuse of easily translated texts.
- Try avoiding duplicated content (will not be credited) unless you have a way better image (no guarantee).
- Do not post 0 effort work, it will only make troubles for everyone.

Edit 2:
- Added precision for point 2 to avoid having multiple images posted as a video.
- 177 sMerit left.

Edit 3 :
- I think the forums don't need more Merit poster (theymos Merit topic contains already several of it)

Precision : February 19, 2018 : 160 sMerit left

Edit 4 : February 20, 2018
- Try always to have a proof of your work by having your nickname on the corner or a link referring to your profile on the video header/comment if your name in YouTube for example is different than the one in bitcointalk.
- 150 sMerit left

You will choose one of the best work for each parts or you will send for each  participated people until enough Merits that you give??
