The future of blockchain based cryptocurrencies is bright and I am confident that blockchain is the way ahead. Decentralised and hybrid apps will take over the market in the coming years. For that you need to be prepared to have some cryptocurrencies in your kitty. Very soon companies might even start paying salaries in bitcoin/ethers or other cryptocurrencies.

The biggest problem is that right now the financial infrastructure that exists to handle transactions for other things doesn't quite exist for bitcoin. If you send your money to a bitcoin exchange, how do you know that people won't run away with it? You can ask the same question about stock exchanges, and in the early days of stock exchanges, people *did* take the money and run. It took several decades of trial and error to figure out how to keep this from happening. Bitcoin is going through the same "learning curve" but it's going to happen a lot faster.

I believe that new purchases and trading volume for crypto-currencies in the following countries will drop in 2018:
China
South Korea
Japan
Russia
Malaysia
Indonesia
Thailand
Vietnam
Hong Kong
The reason for this change is because these governments have seen crypto-currencies as a threat to their central banks, national currencies, and tax revenue base. They know that if crypto-currencies are allowed to enter the mainstream, then they are threatened as governments because their tax revenue base would shrink.
The most interesting case is China, because of the size and depth of its market. Right now, many Chinese have been speculating in crypto-currencies, not because of decentralization or other silly western ideals; they see it as a good way to make quick money. In order for the Chinese government to convince Chinese that this is not the case, it needs to force some Chinese to LOSE money. When this happens over a prolonged period, then Chinese will lose interest in crypto-currencies.

BTC value it is like gold.It is for a long term investors.Bitcoin is decentralized and against bankers.The only disadvantage is that has currently high fees and slow transaction confirmations compared to other currency but these will be solved in 2018 with lighting network that will work on top of bitcoin.(in case that you want to pay for a coffee cup,but who does this??) It is the only cryptocurrency that has ATMs all over the world. Anyone knows of it, and all of these fluctuations in price are from bad news and government related media in order to lower the value of this revolution. BTC is the king because of it is ideology behind. People want their freedom in all ways.Bankers-scammers will be hit with this soon.I believe that in a decade USD, Euro.. and other currency will worth as much as a toilet paper. BTC price will EXPLODE. Taxation is the most illegal thing on the world.This must end.The 99 % of this planet wealth are on 1% hands because they want to rule our world.It is not fair share.I bought a fraction of a btc when it was 19300 and i am hodl it.I am not an expert of the cryptos and i am new to this so my thoughts are these above. I dont reject the other coins but this is a BTC page.

I am very interested in the Cardano project. It seems like it is a very intelligent group of people working on this project, where they only have the best of the best. The problems they try to fix and the niche markets that they seek to fulfill is something of the future. They even have the co-creater of Ethereum which is another interesting coin. In the Cardano ADA coin they have fixed many issues that the Ethereum coin has.
