I think this has gone on long enough.  I'm sending this over to Visa's legal department, see what they think about this nonsense. And for "VisaCoin"...

You're such a tool.  You sent this forum thread to Visa's legal department? Great job. "This has gone on long enough" What, two weeks? If it becomes an issue and needs to be changed it will be a quick and easy fix. I don't know why everyone is breaking a sweat over the name. Relax. Side note: jesus already at nearly 80 BTC for the donation fund, what the hell happened yesterday? Awesome stuff.

On the contrary,  The OP clearly doesn't understand copyright/trademarks, and isn't taking this seriously.  It's better this gets shutdown/name changed sooner rather than later, before even more people part with their hard earned BTC.   Would you rather invest dozens or hundreds of bitcoins and/or hours of mining/electricity into a project that just gets shut down later?

Sooner is better than later good sir.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.3 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: December 31, 2013, 03:24:21 AM
Will return Dogecoin at 150 Satoshi? Tongue

i hope 40 satoshi for my order @ coinedup  Grin

40% of my 55 buy order has been completed, I am also in at 44 and 39. I don't see it going below that much.

It's currently a miners market which means terrible value for those looking to sell now. So much dumping pressure esp when 720 million new coins are coming onto the market every day, this will continue for another
45 days if I am not mistaken before the block rewards are cut in half.

Hope you're right, I got in on a buy order at 66, didn't see the ones lower than that at the time (66 had a huge wall).  50 or 47 is a better deal, but even @ 66 if it goes to 100+, thats still a decent profit.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MULTI] Pool|TradeMyBit - 0.5% Proportional Multi-Port/Profit Swap on: December 31, 2013, 12:50:00 AM
Added NET and LOT to the profit-check port yesterday, will continue to add coins as they move up in the profit calculation list Wink

Can you tell us where you get your data from?   I've been trying to figure out where you and multipool get data from, since it's not coinwarz (coinwarz shows much different data than you and multipool)

Just wondering so that maybe I can view past performance on certain coins?

Thanks (I'm still new to this stuff)

Reason these coins have problems on start up is that everyone with super-farms just waits for a new coin to be released, and then they switch over to it and mine the shit out of it, leaving everyone else in the dust and increasing the difficulty in a short time.

Needs to be some kind of limit on how many hashes people can mine so everyone has a chance

Yea.

It's called buy more cards.

Or just don't be an asshole and ruin it for everyone else

If we all had 200,000+ lying around, I don't think we'd all be mining coins...we'd probably be investing.

WINDOWS WALLET (COMPILED) - INCLUDES .DLL

Code:
https://mega.co.nz/#!PxYCwJID!TRArtmQi4vrHkH7pe7SIo3pKE-lHoqbMkhL2ymLUlfE

TO THE MOON, AND MAYBE MARS!

Seems to be a virus

The file size is too small to be a wallet. Can anyone else confirm that this is in fact a virus? Likely a wallet stealer.

Such Crap
Many Error
Garbage wallet

Why not just try it yourself?

alright I'll give it 24 hours to see how profitability stacks up to multipool.  2.1Mh/s sent your way guys.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MULTI] Pool|TradeMyBit - 0.5% Proportional Multi-Port/Profit Swap on: December 30, 2013, 08:42:16 AM
I do not recommend, the reward is 60% less than expected

Could anyone elaborate on this?   I started with Hashco.ws, then moved to multipool.us, which seems to be better than hashco.ws.   I'm not some big miner with thousands of machines, I'm only at 2.1Mh/s now, though building a second rig with 6 r9 290's for around 7.9Mh/s total, but I'm not a big baller like some people are.   I don't have the time to constantly change coins, so multi pools work well for me, but If this site does a better job than multipool, I'd certainly switch...but this "60% less" thing is a little worrysome.

Can I get a no bullshit response on what this guy might be talking about?

any chance you could pre-release the wallet for windows before hand?  Too many unix users that get a hold of the wallet before us windows people, and by the time the wallet is out, the coin is already too hard to mine and the "IPO" people have already made their millions of coins.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][GRDT] Get Rich or Die Tryin Coin! :-) WINDOWS WALLET ADDED on: December 29, 2013, 03:08:34 AM

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: December 28, 2013, 10:27:44 PM
For the people who cannot read... If you've been mining all day and not receiving payouts its more than likely one of two things... You didn't solve a block so you don't get paid anything.(getting shares mean its working.. Not guarentee of money) or two the database is backed up again and once caught up your coins will appear..  Any chance we can start charging people for answers to already answered questions in the forums?

For people who cannot think.......block time of CAP is 30 minutes, I mentioned that I mined since yesterday evening. (twenty hours

Think again....maybe not so Spiffy after all?

BTW another coin is doing exactly waht it should do.
And again, if you didn't solve the block, you don't get a reward, doesn't matter if you mined it for 2 minutes or 2000 hours.  Maybe you guys should read mining 101.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: r9 290x on: December 27, 2013, 07:22:45 PM
However, I undervolted GPU voltage by flashing GPU vBios on r9 280x and instead of 1.2V now runs on 1.075V and it's completly stable.

What software did you use to do that? And did you overclock core and memory clock?
+1...how the hell did you get a gigabyte r9 280x undervolted?   can you provide details?  I've tried to undervolt my cards but no such luck.   I'm pushing 940 watts from my 3 cards, hitting the wall of my 1000w psu.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: r9 290x on: December 27, 2013, 07:20:59 PM
Not 290x, but I have 3 280x's.   A gigabyte, an Asus, and a Sapphire.  I've tried everything i can to boost the performance, but I think I'm just about maxed.   Anyway, the Sapphire is the fastest of the 3,  running around 730Kh/s.  the gigabyte and Asus both run around 710Kh/s.   Just thought I'd add that the Sapphires are faster Smiley

This looks promising, but 700$ (~ current price of BTC) is a little steep.  I'd be more willing to shell that out if it used VIRCUREX or something else, but cryptsy f'in sucks as a trading platform.  I used it at first, but between slow deposits, slower order processing, and even slower updating of balances when orders are conducted, I can't trust it.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (A.C.T.) - Alternate Cryptocurrency Trading on: December 27, 2013, 05:06:07 PM
where is this "ACT" located?  is it a program? a book/Method?  you don't provide any details, yet ask for help to optimize settings?
99  Other / Archival / Re: [VSC]Visacoin:Born for circulation--based on BTC-Gold--Project start!!! on: December 27, 2013, 03:27:40 AM
It will have to be renamed, no retailer will actually be able to say they accept it without being sued
they have no relevance

Yeah good luck with that.  Visa gets a hold of this, you're in for it.  I know because I had something similar happen, I got a cease and decist letter from Macy's once because an Android app I worked on had a tiny graphic in it for a Macy's credit card, and the lawyer statement said "Macy's customers may confuse this for being a macy's product".   Trust me you'll get Visa all over you for this.

Ok, i'll bite. Is the OP releasing the source code and/or setup a pool at launch?

Sumbudy didn't read....
