So is this going to the moon or what?  Cool

Hehe it's going on a fair cruising speed which allows our team to get things ready for the give away.. In all honesty if people are here to make lots of money by buying and dropping the Gaelcoin like what is happening to Aurora and Spain coin than this isn't the coin for them.

Unlike what a bunch of people think within this topic I do want this coin to succeed as a digital payment option in Ireland with it's own value as that's what Bitcoin is about and so is Gaelcoin a way of purchasing & selling products  (not euro's or dollars)

Are there any users familiar with xnigma?

Seems very much new.

Also, the coin could use a better emblem, maybe with the color green in it.

Maybe we can do a give-away for the best designed emblem

93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Fair distribution solution for Gaelcoin ? on: March 09, 2014, 12:43:44 AM
Hi,

As some of you might have noticed Gaelcoin has launched on Friday (Ann here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506076 ) and the goal is to give out 50 GAC to every Irish citizen and even though the coin is getting a good amount of expected bitching I do really want it to succeed, especially the distribution among the Irish.

Now I was hoping if any of you would have some insights on what would be the most democratic and data protective way of doing so...

Our initial thoughts have been on verification by ID/Passport but that might put a whole lot of people off, we are also looking at methods to restrict access to the sign-up page coming from Irish IP addresses only with the IP blocked after successful sign up (to avoid multiple accounts).

Hoping for any good insightful ideas (and not too much moaning and bitching)

Thanks !

50 GAC will be given free to every confirmed Irish citizen living in the Republic or the North [/color] (details to follow)

come on, try to back your fake charity coin with a decent story at least , teenage crooks are so lazy these days Cheesy
and begging to get accepted on coinmarket even before you launch your joke tells us everything we need about your intentions  Grin

Between all the doggy, flappy and kitty coins I can understand your skepticism but the aim is to have Gaelcoin turning in to a viable option for trading offline instead of having it jump up and down within an exchange with zero real world value.

Keep an eye on the coin as I might get to proof you wrong.

3 pages and still the obvious hasn't been addressed...
How are you going to fairly and securely distribute this among Irish?
How do you think fellow Irish would feel about Northern Ireland being included into a 'gaelcoin'?

It will happen through an ID verification process, even though that restricts the anonymity for the first wallet deposits it will allow for a fair exchange.

Secondly we are not force feeding this coin to anyone, and believe it or not there are still a large number of people that see Ireland as one nation including the North.
