It is unbelievable, these people at HashTalk are completely brainwashed. Actually I find it a bit scary.

I'm really surprised this hasn't gotten more attention... It pretty much confirms EVERYTHING we thought about this scam Josh has done... Why is it not getting more attention?

http://i.snag.gy/2izhc.jpg

I don't get it either, this is already on here for 6 hours and it seems nobody at HT has seen it yet.
Somebody with a working account should post it over there.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/28141/why-isnt-this-getting-the-attention-it-deserves

That guy "rootdude" does not seem or want to understand it is all about Josh, what an idiot!

Poor Homero, all that time and effort and money, conjuring one lie after another, then buying plugins that don't work, buying exchanges, then running around deleting everything and here out of the gate comes a winner straight across the finish line in a blink of an eye. It is shocking how it is exactly what he has been struggling to do all this time.

Watch these guys really be on CNN and Forbes and Time.

What a farce ! Homero is in last place!

The difference is that these guys are working with professional developers whilst Homero is working with a bunch of 16 year old school kids he grabbed from the forums here and there.
It is already imaginable that GAW was able to (more or less) clone Peercoin.

Anyone else see this https://www.ziftrcoin.com/ seems they beat gaw/paybase to the punch

Yes, I saw it a couple of days ago. They promise the same things like GAW does, it looks more professional though.
I decided not to throw money at it, at the moment I'm only invested in VIA and I would like to keep it this way.
86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 06, 2015, 10:39:21 AM
Why would CCN post this? They are culpable in this scam and should be shut down and prosecuted once this all comes crashing down.

LOL. It was meant to be ironic.
87  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 06, 2015, 10:24:00 AM

This is very heavy ammo you've got here, maybe something for CCN to post on their website.
Will the poor people (read victims) at HT still believe all the Kool-Aid their beloved CEO is throwing at them after reading this?

https://hashtalk.org/topic/27197/paybase-will-not-be-born-in-a-day/148

And even having said all this, the worst part for me is the way GAW is handling this currently.

Prior to launch here are his quotes:

"Paybase customer features and benefits include:

Auto Conversion to BTC
Debit Card Access
ATM Partnerships
Switch back and forth between Paycoin, BTC and FIAT in real time
Through recently-formed partnerships, Paybase, when it launches, will be compatible with any merchant that uses Shopify or PayPal.
Bill Pay
Browser plug-ins to allow you to shop at major retailers and check out with Paycoin
Total integration into social media sites like Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter so you can tip your friends and favorite bloggers

also there is this

Paybase will change online payments, forever.

Paybase will launch on or near December 15th, 2014.

GAW has been busy acquiring companies and patents to make Paycoin the fastest, safest, and most powerful cryptocurrency ever conceived -- and to build the world’s most advanced online payment system in world - Paybase.

We have been purchasing and integrating new technologies for Paybase for months and now we are ready to unveil the results of those efforts.

Remember when I told you Paycoin would be the most usable cryptocurrency in the world?

finally when that Monday before Xmas came around there was this...

Paybase has been rescheduled to launch on the 29th of December .While Paybase is delayed, it's going to be much more powerful at launch.
We have made some significant upgrades for you.

Here is what you can expect at launch:

We will use the extra time to stress-test Paybase. - reality was 12/29 never happened...delayed until 24hrs later what about stress test?
We will manage XPY to the $20 each with NO verification, as soon as you open your account! - but we wont tell you about secret $700 USD weekly withdrawal limit
You will be able to move between XPY to BTC with NO verifications levels! - see above point.
We will start rolling out new Paybase debit cards!!! -nope
We will launch with no fees! - sell price is $1 less than what Paybase shows therefore I'm assuming that's a fee (steep fee too)
Plus, we have a free gift, to make up for the delay, for the launch of Paybase. - where is it?

It will be the best one yet.

Also, here are some of the things you can expect immediately after launch:

PaySave roll-out!
GoCoin integration!
Paybase will give you the ability to exchange to and from other currencies!

Now what he says after the launch and the price of XPY @ $6 USD today:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/27197/paybase-will-not-be-born-in-a-day

Thank you for explaining to us what "beta" means... funny that it wasn't mentioned prior to Paycoin/Paybase

Have some accountability, you may be able to fool some people but most of us are seeing right through this recent turn of events.

They should remove this Jonah Dorman as well!

But its quite apparent that they haven't changed a damn thing and are fumbling this just like they have every major technical release in recent memory.  I think this is much simpler than being a scam as many are quick to label it, its simply a case of someone (Josh) with a good idea and lofty goals not having the knowledge or team to accomplish it.  In the end many will call GAW a scam but really it will just have been a good idea that was poorly executed.

Exactly the same happened before with Josh's previous company 'Great Auk Wireless'.
This also was a good idea but very poorly executed.

I think GAW didn't start as a scam, but after they turned to cloud mining without actual hardware to back it up the whole thing became a Ponzi.
Josh stepped on a train and he can't get off anymore, he has to ride it till the end.
91  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 30, 2014, 12:26:05 PM
Where's Josh to ban his fudding a$$??

Josh knows he is fighting a losing battle and that the end is near.
He probably just gave up.

After the network switched to merged mining there are many 'Conflicted' transactions appearing in my wallet.
What does this mean, and what can be the cause of this?
I use the latest wallet 10.6.3 64 bit.

Need more screenshots, I would prefer it off this forum because it's support.
Conflicted transactions a feature since Bitcoin 0.9 and have been enabled in Viacoin since inception:

You can read about it here: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/3669

and http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/22663/stuck-duplicate-transaction-in-bitcoinqt

Please send me an email or PM with screenshots, or better still come to #viacoin-dev on freenode
or log a ticket at github.

Most of the Conflicted transactions were resolved after some time, only a few remained.
I was mining at 1GH, probably some glitch during the transition.
At the moment everything is back to normal.

soooo... any pools merge mining yet?  Roll Eyes

2 so far. Everyone else is enjoying their holidays.

Which 2 pools allow us to merge mine LTC/VIA at the moment?

I've been mining VIA non stop from the beginning even at a loss because I want to support the block chain.
It would be nice to get some profit out of it with merged mining.

The only pool I know the ID of is http://bemining.net/ the other is mining with but I dont know which pool it is.

Thanks, I will take a look over there.

ok, ASIC scrypt miners, have you heard of neoscrypt ? I thinking Genesis Mining could utilize it before long but I don't know if  they use GPU scrypt miners. If i was going to mine from home that's what I'd be looking at.

Neoscrypt is a mix of Salsa and some other hashing algorithms, I'm afraid it can only be mined with CPU or GPU at the moment.
I really don't see any need for all these different algos, for the moment SHA and Scrypt are secure enough.

I know what you mean, cloud mining obviously has other associated overheads same as any other business. what miner do you use have you had it long and do you think an incentive Via mining token reward would work for home miners?

It's an A2 miner with 4 blades, I have it about 6 months.
The first months it was very profitable, it took about 4 months to ROI.
Now I'm happy when I get net. 0.66 BTC/month with it, mainly because I'm not looking for the most profitable coin.
With VIA it is even less at the moment, but I expect the price to go up in the future.
Anyway mining is just a fun thing, you won't get rich with it, with trading you can earn a lot more.

I really have no idea about the mining token reward.

wow, 25mh can mine 8-25 coins per day, very hard to mine viacoin Shocked

I have 55 MHs. with a real miner here at my home, and I've got on average 60 to 70 Via per day the last week, sometimes even more.
So these numbers on Genesis mining are way too low.

Wow, you've more than double the MH/s and all the overheads associated with home mining and only getting an average of 60 -70 Via per day, While Erik doesn't even have to switch a computer on !! Perhaps a Via Mining incentive token reward  should be higher for home miners ?

The point is when they sell you a contract for 25MHs. you should get 25 MHs. and not something 2 or 3 times less.
This has nothing to do with home mining or not.

To be fair, If you were to equate maintenance costs, pool variance etc. then the numbers make more sense, overall I would say the average daily Viacoin payouts are quite good.  I don't think there's another cloud mining that offers payouts in Viacoin.

What would your numbers be if you deduct maintenance, electricity and other overheads ?

Well, at the current VIA price it is just a small profit.
The miner already paid for itself a long time ago, so I only have to deal with electricity costs for 600W.
As long as it doesn't cost me money I keep mining VIA with it.
As an alternative I could switch to a more profitable coin and sell that for VIA, but I don't want to spend too much time on it so I keep it mining VIA.
