Am I the only one not understanding what's funny with this? I mean, doge has a sense as meme but this?

Many thinks Bitcoin can protect them from inflation but I don't see this happening, the price is highly volatile and most of the time you have to come back to FIAT to spend (at least for now) I can see Bitcoin as both store of value and currency. As currency it will be limited only to certain uses where there is an actual benefit, maybe internet transaction without subscription and forex. I can't see it going mainstream and be accepted to buy a coffee or a sandwich, at least for a few years.

I will check some of the videos. Thank you for sharing (in Press )

Instead of premine, a small transaction fee (really small!) should go to the developer. This is much better than premining as: 1) dev will continue to support the coin 2) dev cannot dump 3) address can be changed by vote with a fork

|
|
ok please OP we need to know, are you willing to routinely spam and do so many give away that we will all have the possiblity to dump for a decent profit? Please down let us down!

It depends, ASICs or GPU? If the latter what's model? Sell ASICs and keep the GPUs

Can't tell if that video helped them or hurt them I guess I'll wait until a more reputable company comes out with one. I was expecting a finished prototype, not a fraction of it. Prototyping with ASICs really isn't how the game is played; my understanding is that this is more of a proof of concept. It isn't practical from a cost-perspective to produce a finished prototype. The point is do not preorder anything so the prototype is not needed. Once you have a full product ready to ship, then accept orders. Easy! But I guess the point here is another, get as many preorder as possible, isn't it

I am losing all hope of ever buying Bitcoin cheap again Who else is starting to feel like $500 BTC is never gonna happen? It went down to $500 already a few times, we are looking at the build up for the next bubble now. After the next bubble you will be able to buy plenty for $500, just wait

Why would somebody give you the money to run a rig and lose 10%? Ridicolous Get a job, if you can't, find it somewhere else!

lol in that case , peercoin and every other coin should have a 1 million marketcap.
anything could happen ,throwing numbers around is foolish
Yes they should. No, throwing numbers around is not foolish. Throwing money around at overvalued crap *is* foolish but litecoin is not overvalued crap , every other scamcoin is. Yes it is, at the moment. Again, not saying LTC has no place under the sun - it very well might have. I would advise anyone from buying in at this point, though. I'd delay buyin for several months and get LTC when at low single digits. If you already bought - hodl, ofc, but be ready to get more lower. It is not bitcoin. It does not have real money behind it. It can crash not 30% but 99% easily. Should always remember that. This argument is old, get real. bitcoin was nowhere near where it is now just a year ago.

another polemic to bring the prices down ? how do you mean? the code was released with the flaws so that people can see what they are working with, the flaws were added by the developer. the flaws are in place to stop people immediately cloning the code and releasing their own version. people will need to wait to see if all the flaws have been found before confirmation that the source is in fact in its fully working condition again. When i first read about the code release i was a little dubious but I personally think its a great way to get the source out there for review, also gain extra interest from people because of the rewards but also the subtle way they now have multiple coders looking over their code and getting to understand it. im assuming they aren't expecting clones to appear over night but im sure the developer realises if his code is a cut above the current code behind most of the other coins, that it will eventually take off and more "NXTLiteCoin" versions will emerge. all in all i think its a cracking play on NXT's side and will actually help the prices rather than hurt them. At least thats how i saw it ;-) I could have completely the wrong end of the stick - I just wish i had even the smallest understanding of the code itself so i could take part lol. The problem with releasing a fake is that you can find something really wrong and they can say "good, we already fix this / we already changed it" etc. it cannot be verified as it's not the real complete source code, kinda useless tbh

Not fair, only the richest can win! If it's not a scam it's a ponzi scheme! LOL
|
|
|

[...] This all seems to fit very neatly into the collaborative consumption economy ethos and I would guess is not likely to die anytime soon.
It only fit very well on the definition of greed, that's it, nothing more than that. I'd like to know the real exchange volume, it must be all within the same greedy group. No person with an average QI would sell BTC for any of these coins.

What's the point of this poll? Coindesk readers are permabulls! From a contrarian point of view, majority seldom or never gets it right.
This is so true ... so we have two options, bitcoin is going to end up about where it is or lower ... or it will go much higher than majority is thinking, so $20-50k seems like a good outside contrarian bet? Not really, a third and, in my opinion, a more probable option is the price will go up, but not reach $10k, could reach $3-5k too, that's not bad either. The reason for that is, people will be more diversifying into alt-coins, and the capital flow into bitcoin will not be as fast. I agree with you, it won't reach $10k anywhere in the world, it will grow in a few bubbles with peaks of $3k

I think this is a first, I never seen a tax on miners mentioned anywhere before. India, India... weren't you out from bitcoin already?
