81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 24, 2018, 09:39:09 PM
Hi everyone.  Wink All good day. People, I had such a question - will every object in the Codex system need any documents for making it into a single register?

...and i want to ask something too)
Which actions I can do on your platform аs common user, not programmer et cetera?

That's a great question. Add items to the Codex Protocol depends on the application that you're using to add this item. Every application will have different requirements and standards. Codex Protocol is built for collaboration and partnership across the arts & collectibles market.

There are many partners of Codex Protocol and each one of them will have an application.

There are 8 partnerships
1: Feral Horses
2: ValueMyStuff
3: Luxury Asset Capital
4: The Clarion List
5: DUST IDENTITY
6: Maecenas
7: Liveauctioneers
8: Heffel Fine

You can find more about them on the website
http://www.codexprotocol.com

I expected there will be only only one app Grin Will you collaborate with partners' developers to make all apps connected and united?

The idea of bridges is intriguing. Are you testing it? Is it efficient as it was planned? Can you give us statistics?

What if I am going to sell some items on the platform? Will I be able to withdraw my funds to my bank cards? Also remind me please what currencies are allowed for trading?
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRESALE][AXU]Argentas 2nd Gen Blockchain Decentralizing Global Banking on: July 24, 2018, 07:05:10 PM
Speaking about democratic network. What do you mean, no tons of documents needed? What exactly? Also I would like to know does Argentas offer lending and credit? You say about banks dissapearing, but can your project provide all services banks do now?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Codex Protocol - Decentralized Registry for Art & Collectibles on: July 23, 2018, 11:33:58 PM
Can anyone tell me please what is the minimum price for items on the platform? Are there any limits?

I guess there will be no sych limits, why? If I wanna sell something for 5 $, why not? It's easier to sell something cheap than something unreal expensive.

That woud be fair, right. However I still don't get what price tiers were planned here... someone can buy whatever he wants, but someone can't.

With Codex Viewer, as a 'common' user, you'll be able to add, edit and transfer Codex Records. You can make them public or let them stay private. With Biddable, you'll be able to bid on and purchase Art & Collectibles in a smooth way (and privately!). I recommend checking out Ch. 06 from the whitepaper - page 20 and onwards: https://docsend.com/view/n4sbws8

I like the feature of hiding records. Does that mean that I can hide all items and shares I own from everybody?

I want to ask something
What kind of cryptocurrency do you interact with?
The platform will use CODX tokens otherwise known as Codex Coin.
You can contribute with ETH, if you need any help ask the team on telegram here: https://t.me/codexprotocol

Is team planning to add some other currencies? What about fiat? Thank you.

Speaking about protection from fraud - I guess raitings couldbe very useful. Just like internet shopping - you can give 1 or 5 stars to the merchant after the deal.

Sounds fairm yeah, I love this system. I hope there will be no fake feedback in here, market of art & collectibles is not so popular speaking in the global context.

One question about auction system. Hom much automatised is it? For example I would like to be a merchant and sell my items. Can I add them on the platform, fill all needed forms and just go away while the auction system works on its own and I just get money?

Sounds good. Personally I wouldn't like to moderate auction process (is it possible however?), I just want to sell and purchase goods and make money as easy as possible.

I guess it will be very easy to do (hope so). Also interesting point is claims. What if someone bought an bad item? Not fake, but just damager or something like that. Will the platform join a dispute?

According to your website, You will launch mainnet before token sale. Is it launched already? and what is exact number of tokens available for crowdsale? 1,000,000,000 is total supply or those are the tokens available for sale?

Hi there, Codex will launch to the Ethereum Mainnet by July 23rd, 2018, Midnight (CST)
You can view all the details here: https://medium.com/codexprotocol/codex-mainnet-launch-what-to-expect-5eb032e7d2a

The hardcap of $25m is the total for private, pre-sale, and public sale.

$25m hard cap in total for which 40% of the total token supply is available for sale.

If you need to know more, ask the team on telegram here: https://t.me/codexprotocol

Great news! Nice to see a project successfully follows its milestones. Good luck!

As for me the first time I though they will succeed - when I saw items on the website. It really works! I love team work so hard.

What are the advantages of codex solutions you can offer to buyers of tokens?

They can be proud of their own ecosystem and ability to buy shares al least, also there work with lots of auction houses.

Yes, I fully support your opinion. Modernization is always extremely necessary. Even in such conservative industries as antiques.
By the way, does this project cover a variety of things? From porcelain to antique cars? Yes?
Yes, this project is versatile. With it, you can buy a variety of things: from cars to porcelain figurines, from brands to antique furniture. A wide range of goods will be covered.
It's fine! You said that you are a collector. What do you collect? Coins, probably? Smiley
Yes, I am a collector. No, I collect vintage weapons and medals. I am especially fond of the awards of the Second World War.

Amazing! Did you find some these awards on Codex? Is it legal btw? Huh
I have not yet looked. But I will definitely look. Yes, this business is subtle, as some countries do not allow the sale of such items.

Sounds interesting, thank you. It's a big honor to own such things.   Cool

Your talk made me think of rare weapon, are there any special legal limitations for it? I mean on the platform

Unfortunately I do not have any information on this issue, but I guess there are limitations in several countries.

Did you notice that team thinks about immunisation and vaccination programmes? It's the first time I see someone who are so caring about users. Who likes vaccinations? Cheesy

Yes, I did! Honestly, I respect humanitarian projects so much! And yes, we can call it humanitarian for sure. It's a very challenging undertaking because there are so many data in this field, and they used to be mixed up or even missed.

I agree with you. That soultion will help people and even save their lifes, in my opinion healthcare has a major role (one of) in the modern technologies integration nowadays.

Can anybody explain me please what does mean 10 minuts blocktime? (its written in specifications) Is it a big advantage?

You can decide on your own with following information: blockchain blocktime is about 10 minutes and ethereum's is about 10 seconds. You decide is it an advantage (for me - YES!) or not.

Sounds really impressive, even though I'm so newbie. So this project is going to make revolution and they use best technologies to do it, good!
