81  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Mobo with 4 gpus help? Will tip on: January 19, 2014, 03:05:06 AM
I'll tip the person who solves this problem

I have one rig with a

gigabyte ud5 x79
evga 1300 watt psu
3x radeon 290

and I have one radeon 270x I want to use.

Currently I am using the usb3 pcie x1 risers for 2 of the 3 radeons and one radeon is in the pcie x16.
If I connect the radeon 270x via another pcie x1 usb3 riser the pc turns on but nothing shows up on the screen

Yes, but there are 2 different styles of pci-e 3.0 risers.  The ones with the connector going off the back will not fit in a 16x slot.  Be sure to buy the ones that have the connector off of the top.

like this correct?

Will be using USB3 powered 1x risers

Any suggestions for mobos without requiring use of jumper cables?

is the confirmation supposed to take a long time?
I'm on poolerino

Yes that is normal, this coin is just like bitcoin, only it uses scrybt instead of sha256 hashing, so

"coins generated aren't considered confirmed by the Bitcoin protocol for 100 blocks. It is advisable to wait some additional time for a better chance that the transaction will be propogated by all nodes. The classic bitcoin client won't show generated coins as confirmed until the 120th block."

block time is now about 4 minutes, so it takes some time before new blocks are confirmed
oh ok
thanks for the clarification
