81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: August 12, 2017, 10:56:11 PM
just went to our local pc parts store to see if they have any information or cards, they do have cards.

ASUS ROG RX580 8GB OC - $299

2 CARDS - 299$ EACH
3+ CARDS 10,000$ EACH (!)

This is no joke. Seems like they provoking fight between gamers and miners. will try to post a pic, need to upload it somewhere...

Something that doesn't get talked about often enough in mining is that us miners are upholding and building a new network of currencies which I think is pretty cool.  The central banks have a monopoly on those other currencies and regular people have no participation in that. With crypto, we are the system and we're getting paid for it.

That's one kick ass statement!, i love it!, i will borrow it for sure  Grin Grin
- ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND VERY TRUE INDEED. The Great Idea will always prevail over "butiwants" I am very sure that once more people will UNDERSTAND the idea behind it, they will join in immediately. The problem is that majority of folks dont understand technology or banking in general and the proof is nation debt. Just like Henry Ford said once:

Quote
It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.

i agree with the guy above me you guys need to bump up the transaction fee please the payment from yesterday morning still uncomfirmed
- You work for nice has or something ?  I dont know what amounts you getting (shouldnt matter afaik) but check you wallets and update if necessary, the longest delay i have seen is 2 minutes. Your desire is alien to my understanding unless you relate to nicehash team. Their fees already high.

ALL FOUNDRIES THAT CAN MAKE CURRENT MODEL GPUs RUNNING AT 100%
- knowing the possibility of orders and not expanding manufacturing capabilities, is plain stupid. To my opinion, the expectations certainly were lower than reality due to high miners demand, but... no admin will wait with server upgrade until one of the resource will be loaded 100% all the time, same thing with any business, one need to understand capabilities and expand as needed, not wait until bottleneck becomes a serious problem. Business is loosing revenue. Another example if you get sick, you dont wait until you will be walking dead, you start treatment as soon as you know you are sick - right? Just my opinion, a better planning will help to remedy. I dont know details about silicon fabs loads, but i dont think they were prepped well - amd is not the only product they manufacture, so i bet they can allocate resources more efficiently, there musts be something else involved besides manufacturing capabilities... (money?) Time to sleep now...
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: August 10, 2017, 01:08:36 AM
AMD having had an experience of card shortages worldwide should of have been prepared for vega release, otherwise, their model of business needs serious update, or at least management part thats responsible for product supply/availability. But i bet first day will be sold out pretty quickly, but... if it turns out vega suck at mining, which we will know before the end of the monday the 14th, then it will all calm down, as all this hype is about mining and not a gaming. Cant wait to see first videos of VEGA MINING capabilities.

i got few 7970s diggin coins for years now... work like a charm, paid them selves back in B.C.  lol
besides r9 295x2 there is another hungry monster called DEVIL 13  one like this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131680  one just got sold on ebay for like 600$ ... but i bet its more for a rarity/collectors item rather than gaming/mining as its not as powerful, but who knows... i had one broken coming in for repair like 2 months ago, took pictures of this beast. Its heavy as ph_ck - AIR cooled!

added: it has 4 CONENCTORS 8 PIN EACH! so 600W for sure!

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ZEC with CPU? on: August 07, 2017, 06:03:03 AM
i was experimenting with cpu mining lately, i7 4790k gets about $0.42 a day via nicehash, miner also gave some errors like: " memory alloc failed: virtualAlloc Failed, starting single thread, no affinitY"  apparently it is using one thread, but if you look at the cpu load - all cores/threads are used... so not sure whats up, did not mess with it too much though
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: August 06, 2017, 07:02:37 PM
I agree feels like AMD markeeting team is getting crowd hyped. From one point of a view its a great tactic, from another point of view if vega wont deliver the hype expectations - AMD will be puked on, so its better be at least 70mhs. Thats the economy. My personal expectations - are none, whatever world brings will adjust to it or change the world haha.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: August 06, 2017, 12:14:39 AM
Specualtion, but... they say AMD VEGA64 and VEGA56 has a hash rate of 70-100MHs

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUYING BITCOIN WITH DEBIT/CREDIT/PAYPAL on: August 03, 2017, 03:52:56 AM
bank = verification.
question was without verification = cash or money order, this can be done only with someone you know well, otherwise you risking loosing all.

look in to local coins  - its similar to clocal craigslist, but sellers charge quite a bit of % and use cash only, so have a friend with you or you risking getting robbed.
95  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: CAN WE BUY BITCOINS FROM YOU on: August 03, 2017, 03:39:52 AM
i dont think anyone will be doing it via paypal, due to some retarded policies in paypal system, got to figure out other ways.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Proof of Space, Proof of Capacity coin? on: July 29, 2017, 03:14:55 AM
back in the mid june, i have met one guy, he was promoting "PROC"
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/procurrency/
I believe it is POS coin, back then it was about 20 cents a coin, it is now about 29 cents.
The idea, as per my understanding is rewards/mlm  stuff based on coin... made me a bit wary about this whole thing... found this thread here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1747896.0
anyways there always 2 sides of the medal.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD wakes up Wall St on: July 28, 2017, 01:33:10 AM
i was gonna say about threadripper launch... if benchmarks will be good, AMD will get higher, if not, then no vega will help and amd will tank, but i still think the real value of AMD as a company is higher than its priced at right now.

amd need to start inventing things and stop trying to catch up with a leader.

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nvidia finally ships VOLTA on: July 27, 2017, 03:44:20 PM
It appears Nvidia has come to the stage when VOLTA based gpu accelerators are being shipped.
If they will start selling their new GPU's in the nearest month - AMD will eat the dust with their VEGA - IMHO.

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: More than ONE Graphic Card on ASRock P67 Pro3 on: July 22, 2017, 02:36:33 AM
Many modern power supplies have smart fan control, that will turn fan on/off depending on temp reads, if you have a NEW power supply, it should run just fine. As Cerberus mentioned, make sure you have properly connected 6pin pcie power cables to each card. also it is recommended adding cards to your build one-by-one. For the start make one card work, then add another card, by the way whats your second supply model?
I have one ASUS P67 board running 3 amd cards, its a diff model, but chip set is the same - runs good, no problems.
