81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO VS TRADING on: August 07, 2018, 09:15:13 PM
trading is for direct profit, usually it is for people who want to dedicate themselves fully to making a living with cryptocurrencies, it is a very stressful and complicated job but you can generate more money than a job with a university degree, not everyone does it for the dedication they need and also for its complexity, but if you want to dedicate yourself to this, go ahead, that's it, get ready to lose a lot of sleep...
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Rate the Potential of Cyptocurrency? on: August 07, 2018, 08:51:39 PM
Is a combination of several things, if you are interested in trading, whether you buy, sell or trade, you have to look at the volume, especially the volume of the last 3 days and be aware of the movements I make, it is very important to detect dumps or pumps and be able to use the necessary market strategy, now if you are interested in technology and want to know if the crypto is going well set the roadmap and the whitepaper, they have to be fulfilling the promises they made and everything should go smoothly.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are you still believe in ico's?? on: August 06, 2018, 07:32:48 PM
I still believe in ICOs, so far very few have failed me, the trick is to spend a day or two investigating until you are satisfied with what you find, remember that it is your investment, your money, so you have to take all the necessary measures, in this one that I'm currently (kartblock) is going well and fulfilling the promises in the roadmap, have a very active telegram, if everything goes well I plan to buy some tokens at the end of the ICO, to help the project
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should we believe the ICObench? on: August 05, 2018, 08:52:11 PM
In my opinion, most of the ICO rating services probably take money from the ICOs they rate. Can't say for ICObench, but they do way too many ratings, they cannot have the manpower to actually do research. They copy and paste stuff and give even crap high ratings.

If you want great ICO research, go to hacked.com or picolo (now Astronaut). Do a pull request on Neufund's transparency monitor to get an automatically generated audit of the contract. You can go a little further into discord or telegram to get to know the community if you are really interested in investing fiat in an ICO
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel like quitting? on: August 05, 2018, 08:48:50 PM
I picked up Bitcoin, because it was the first currency that could actually be used to buy stuff. Ethereum because of its many applications, real use cases and its potential to replace Bitcoin. Aragon, because it could change our entire legal system. Probably going to get GNT, but I'll try to mine it. Might be a good application for stress testing my overclocked CPU.

I also got a bit of SC and a small amount of STORJ in the token sale. Even if Storj isn't that successful, I can still use the tokens to store my files.

what I want you to understand with this is that you have to choose the coins for their real use and because you really believe in them, if you are only here to make money I think it becomes much more stressful and you are going to have many problems, the best thing is to choose a promising coin and wait for its development.... let it surprise you
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some stable altcoins ? on: August 05, 2018, 06:08:30 PM
I think that ETH and XRB are the most stable because they are projects that have a use in the real world, they are not simple tokens that have a speculative value, they are tokens that are used right now in their respective platforms, although if we want a real stable token, we should have a closer parity to the coin market, and mint tokens as the market needs it, so we could have a token that equals 1:1 with the dollar and reach maximum stability.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: August 04, 2018, 02:11:12 AM
2 years seems a bit excessive to me, maybe 6 months or a bit more, with all the press that is gaining bitcoins and many altcoins like ETH, Ripple or NEO are becoming mainstream, a lot of development and interest in the cryptoworld to make the recession last so long, maybe we won't get to ATH so soon, but prices will not so low for so long
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to invest? on: August 03, 2018, 02:19:18 AM
As people here suggest is best to do your own research because you're gonna get a lot of shillers here trying to sell you their coins, my personal preferences are coins that deal with smart contracts because I have bad penmanship and I don't quite like lawyers. These are your Ethereum, Neo, Waves, Mywish, Blockcat, etc. I like the idea that you can draw up a contract with no lawyer and know it'll go through since it's gonna be thrown upon the blockchain.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about the market? Altcoins, Bitcoin,... on: August 02, 2018, 07:24:27 AM
All I do know is that in every aspect, from regulations, to institutional frameworks, to financial instruments, to adoption, to fiat volume, the progress in these areas relative to more established asset classes is less than 1%. Let's get the bare basics in first and then we'll see what cryptocurrency can do.

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NANO - What are your thoughts? on: August 02, 2018, 06:10:16 AM
yeah I always thought Nano would be the perfect pairing for cryptocurrencies but obviously the issue would be adoption (crypto adoption, not even mass adoption) and everyone else getting on board.

Even if its 10x better than bitcoin the problem is getting everyone to understand that.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of altcoins? on: August 01, 2018, 04:35:22 AM
Something I never see mentioned is the possibility that crypto is currently overpriced or at best leveled off to around the prices we should expect to see.

We all keep acting like oh it’s worth so much and that it’s all ath or higher is the price we’ll eventually reach again.

Maybe the prices were at and now are the prices, and everything that happened back in November/December was an anomaly.

Crypto probably will be around for a while I don’t think it’s just gonna go away, but who’s to say the prices now, or even lower prices in the future isn’t where crypto has or will level off. Ya know maybe bitcoin is on track to be worth $5k and not the $100k or $1 mil we’ve all been hoping and waiting for.

These ridiculous high prices Everyone has seen and is hoping to reach again, even higher, might not be a reality. Maybe the reality is crypto is settling down into its proper values, maybe it even has further down to go before it does.

I just think everyone seems to sorta take for granted that crypto is just gonna die or moon. But there are possibilities in between. We might be living in one of those possibilities, the reality in which bitcoin settles down and is consistently worth $5k
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more airdrop is a lie, on: July 31, 2018, 01:39:48 AM
Imagine that one of those 100 is the next NANO? uff, although I agree that most of the airdrop tokens are useless and only take up space in your wallet, I also think that they are practically free coins, what you expected? if you want more promising tokens them participate in better ICOs, and participate in the bounties that are a little more complicated but is worth it.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is still Ok to invest in Etherium on: July 30, 2018, 03:35:44 AM
I still believe that Ethereum is a game changer despite the current bumps in the road. There is a huge development community behind it and I believe we are at the very early stages at seeing what this type of technology will do. If you want to sit out and watch from the sidelines because it's too risky then, by all means, go ahead. But there is serious money being made in this space and everyone who is investing in it now are essentially early adopters. Institutional money is flowing in and I think cryptos have an immense amount of growth to still be realized.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky? on: July 30, 2018, 01:31:44 AM
Even though I consider that if you want to create money seriously here, x100 x1000 you should put all your money in some niche currency that for some reason (whether speculation or utility) explodes from one moment to the next and increases its value in a highly multiplicative way, but of course, that's if you want to get rich from one day to the next, but I think you'll have more chances winning the lottery, if you want less but more stable profits you should have a good portfolio of the top 10 coinmarket currencies.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You should be carefull of what ICO your going to invest with! on: July 29, 2018, 06:52:35 PM
Where there is money to be made, you will find people looking to scam, defraud or simply make as much money as possible (to the detriment of others). Its a function of humanity's greed and a capitalistic society.

That may seem obvious, but when you get into a scene that is as unregulated and potentially anonymous as crypto, you create a perfect storm for big-time scams.

There will be a few winners in the next year or so, and those will grab headlines. That being said, most will fail. Worse, many will never even plan on delivering anything.

Eventually, the smart money will come in and be investing in viable ICOs. They will be ones that have proof of concept, active services, etc. In the meantime, a lot of you are going to lose your shorts chasing get-rich-quick dreams.
97  Other / Archival / Re: What you will do with your altcoins? on: July 29, 2018, 06:48:46 PM
if after a few weeks of positive changes in the market crypto does not change the altcoin and there is no movement of volume, then it is better to liquidate that asset and focus on those that do have a future, it is always better to get rid of altcoins that are immobile at a very low price to be able to hodle other more important and that are gaining trajectory.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experts export bitcoin price to hit $250,000 on: July 29, 2018, 06:11:35 AM
his is what I think you will see in BTC

~$15k to $30k Thanksgiving spike, 2018

~$30k to $80k Thanksgiving Bull Run, 2019

~$50k to $250k Halving Bull Run, 2020

Some days I say $80k, other days I feel $250k, but...

2021 I suspect will actually be a very "trying" year. There are numerous things which I think will occur in 2021, which may harm Bitcoin, namely an 'overly optimistic' bull run - And other factors.

Crypto will ultra explode 2021, but say BTC gets to $100k in 2020. That's $1 Trillion per year spent on Hash Security, or $2.5 Billion daily needing to be funneled into Bitcoin to simply maintain, let alone grow.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Who uses Myetherwallet? on: July 29, 2018, 04:42:51 AM
Try MyCrypto.com, the entire MyEtherWallet team from 2017 has changed organizations.

If you heard of their work and progress with the MyEtherWallet business and are a fan, you should consider supporting that same team at MyCrypto.

There are ways you can help support the old MyCrypto team, such as using their affiliate links when making purchases. They receive a small financial reward for each purchase via an affiliate link.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: for 3000$ whats your choice on: July 28, 2018, 04:34:32 AM
I’m not sure what you’re getting at. All I’m saying is as long as you don’t pick a scam coin I think you’ll be doing just fine this year. Lots of new techs is in the space the last 16months.

My portfolio my mostly consists of LTC,BTC and XLM and yes the ever so hated XRP. I’m sure there are 10000 people on here who have something negative about each one.

I encourage everyone who looks into crypto to look into the tech not just chase big gains.

I don’t talk shit on peoples investments, or the taste they have for girls.
