Jeremy I would not post how much BTC you keep in wallets. 10 BTC is quite enough for someone to attempt to bruteforce hack your password for casinobitco.in. I saw that your bitbook account was hacked before, probably best if you don't keep too much in the accounts honestly. Just my recommendation. Good luck with your bets.

But he was lying! Haha

Hey guys, I want to thank the people who signed up under me. It's been an awesome response. And we're having a good time sharing bets, winning some in the chat!

In case you signed up under me and haven't received your bonus yet, please PM me. Also, I'm still running the promo if anyone else wants to join in.

Thanks and good luck during the Tournament and beyond!

Hey everybody, just wanted to welcome any ex-BitBookers to the growing community at Nitrogen. We've got a chatroom, trivia games for free BTC, and some great cappers who like to share picks and help each other win.

I've been working to bring people in and received some positive feedback today from Nitrogen's staff. So I wanted to share my first promo with you. Hope it helps you get off to a winning start!

FREE BTC ~ justbc NitroReferral Promo!

1. Click Here (or the banner below) to instantly open a NitrogenSports account (Anonymously)
2. Deposit and make your first bet (Any amount, min .001 BTC)
3. FREE 0.01 BTC Directly to your Nitro account from me, justbc!
**BONUS!** Complete the above and post a *winning* betslip on NitroChat (I'm "justbc [1751]") or in this thread (min bet 0.01 BTC) for an Extra FREE 0.01 BTC

Note: Limit one referral bonus from me per active Bitcointalk user. Bonus from me will be paid automatically when your 1st bet is graded, however if it appears that someone opened multiple accounts, I will require a PM from a previously active Bitcointalk account before paying the bonus. Limited time only - I will post here when it's over.

You can share your betslip by looking at your bet history, clicking the share button, then copying the share link. It's fun, everybody's doing it!

As an example here's a bet I made earlier: Phillies + Rays Parlay. The Phillies game ended in a tie because their closer threw the ball into left field during a rundown, letting in the tying run!

Thanks and GL!

Hi justbc - there are some 'hooks' in the withdrawal process to validate a variety of undisclosed events that can transpire in the sportsbook and casino. Looking into your account, you've been red hot and a few bets came in after events scheduled to start, both of which triggered the withdrawal to get queued for review instead of processed automatically.

Thanks for the details. I think that the right time to run checks against wagers is before grading though. Also, out of curiosity, have you ever cancelled a losing wager because it was placed too late? This is a fear I and others have... if a line is kept open too long and we bet it, not even knowing the event has started, we may be in a position where a loss is accepted, and a win is cancelled. I understand the difficulty in tracking all your offerings in real time, but closing lines when they should be closed is a critical feature of a good sportsbook IMO.

FYI - We've been operating for about 9 months with no issues of withdrawals - anyone can validate this through this thread, or in our monthly reports located in Havelock.

Again, in no way did I mean to question the intent to pay out (received, thank you). But in my original post I mentioned 2 aspects of the user experience that were confusing. Can you touch on those, or better yet, improve them?

Thank you for a good overall experience so far.
84  Economy / Gambling / Re: CasinoBitco.in - Bitcoin Sportsbook and Provably Fair Casino | Open for Biz on: March 16, 2014, 07:21:45 PM
I've been using Casino for about a week. The overall experience has been good. The odds and line availability are very good compared to the competition.

I don't have any reason to doubt that I will get paid, however I would like to let you know about my experience with your withdrawal process.

I had a good night last night and did a partial withdrawal to minimize exposure. The site accepted my withdrawal but said "it should be processed within 12 hours." My previous withdrawals for lesser amounts had been instant.

Now tonight I wake up and check and haven't received the BTC. I'm ok with that as they may want to review it. I checked the FAQ and they say withdrawals can take up to 24 hours. So now I don't know which it really is, 12 or 24.

Then I check my transaction history and next to the withdrawal entry it says "success" along with a link to blockchain.info. The link doesn't work though, nor do the links for any of my previous withdrawals.

Again, as long as I get paid I'm cool. But there is a lot of room for improvement here.

I did also get the refund.

I like the fact that you aren't chasing today just because yday wasn't perfect. That will help in the long run.

Northridge was a good pick and I'll be backing your next play.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Picks 68-30 | 69% | +35 Units on: March 16, 2014, 05:59:48 AM
Ya, not bad overall. I bet a little more on the 2nd game since another capper I trust suggested it.

Keep it up. I think building the track record will pay off!
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Picks 68-30 | 69% | +35 Units on: March 15, 2014, 10:14:49 PM
Ya, I paid him for the plays and he sent them.

I'll let you all know how it goes!
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Picks 68-30 | 69% | +35 Units on: March 15, 2014, 06:16:47 PM
I was going to tail you today, and even when you said .01 I was strongly considering paying that. But why did the price go up before anything happened? Was it because a few people gave you a hard time?
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Picks 68-30 | 69% | +35 Units on: March 15, 2014, 05:56:05 PM
I would like to see the OP keep posting, winning, and getting tipped a decent amount.

I think people reading this start out skeptical, and rightfully so. There are a 999 scummy touts for every 1 that is really working and has good intentions. Also, people want to see a long track record before they start tailing, and most people are less inclined to bet on obscure games.

My recommendation would be for OP to share picks for the 1st round of the NCAA tournament. The work you've done previously sets the table for people to believe in you. Then, when they make some money on the 1st round, charge .01 for a pack of maybe 3-4 plays for every later round.

It's definitely hard to put in work without reward, but the work you do early can pay off late. Don't give up!

@halcyon

I don't know how often they run it but it was today, Sunday evening, and I hope they do it every Sunday!

The site has a chat room and there's usually an Admin in there. He was asking questions, mostly about what happened in today's sports events. The first person to answer correctly got some BTC. A few times they gave BTC to several people at once.

If you open an account, (say by clicking here), you can open a "Support Ticket" and ask how often they'll be doing trivia.

Good luck!

Nitrogen is...

  • Reliable - Haven't seen it go down like some other books out there
  • User Friendly - The interface is modern and easy to use
  • Fair - Really good odds and customer support
  • most importantly, FUN!!!

I just won some free BTC in their Trivia promotion, and I don't mean a meaningless amount... enough to feed a family for a week or 2. And had a blast doing it.

They also have a really cool promotion for parlays which just started last month. EVEN IF YOU LOSE YOUR PARLAY you can win a jackpot if you only lost 1 leg of the parlay (winners are the parlays with the highest payouts).

So I just want to say props to Nitrogen for pushing the envelope. Best BTC book by far, and it really isn't close.

One last thing, they have a really fair affiliate program so if you sign up by clicking my sig, I get a small % of the bets you make. Can't beat that with a stick!

EDIT: Here's my referral link (I don't have the status to put a direct link in my sig yet)

Looks like others are coming around on what BitBook is all about:
Seems like a lot of things on this website such as the max are mis leading, why haven't you fixed this?

Currently their site has been down for several hours. Like I said before, if you trust them with your bitcoins, you can easily find yourself out of action.
96  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bettor Beware - Don't Trust BitBook - They've Been Cheating on: January 22, 2014, 03:04:10 PM
If you use BitBook you may have noticed that last Wednesday Jan. 15, many or all betting lines were not working. The reason for this is BitBook (and many other unlicensed, non-professional BTC books) do not set or adjust their own lines - they're following a Pinnacle Sports odds stream without Pinnacle's permission and against their rules.

Here's what Pinnacle had to say about it:

I have been aware of some Bitcoin sports betting sites - which seem to be proliferating recently - building on top of your odds feed. Do you have a position on this?

That is definitely not an acceptable use of our feed or our lines and would result in the closure of any account.

Thanks,
Lauren / Affiliate Account Manager / Pinnacle Sports

If and when Pinnacle stops the stream or has an interruption, your BitBook balance will be out of action.

We believe that it is especially important for bitcoin businesses to consistently operate in an honorable fashion,
Your software was purposely designed to be dishonorable. Your spin cannot make it otherwise. You are not a licensed and regulated business or such dishonesty would never be allowed in the sports betting industry.

  • When we first built BitBook our aim was to try to minimize the percentage that we have to reject bet requests. Based on this we had a couple checks on each bet and an odds shift to a higher payout was not something we looked for.
  • As OP mentions this has been known for some time, and is not something that we ever denied.
Ever played poker? This is the equivalent of the dealer not telling you when you put too much money in the pot while always telling you when you put too little. They're calling this a feature!

This obvious inequity/dishonesty/exploit was reported on this forum a month ago and is only now fixed (supposedly, I won't be back to test it) as a result of my threat to expose them.

  • This change was made and posted about prior to this thread being posted.
  • OP contacted us and threatened to post something bad about us if we wouldn't pay him not to do so.
You knew about it for 9 months (you purposely designed it!), were outed for a month and still did nothing about it. My demand was to fix this immediately and I was always going to inform the community whether you paid a bug bounty or not.

Again, we believe it is important for bitcoin businesses to be held accountable, but trashing businesses unfairly is damaging to the bitcoin space in general.
Again you're not a licensed business. All you have is user trust and you've trampled on it. This isn't trashing because your unethical practice is a documented fact. To the contrary it will help the bitcoin space if untrustworthy enterprises are marginalized and relegated.

There is more to come from me as well, but I will do a timed release of information over the coming days in an effort to keep this toward the top.

Bettor beware.
98  Economy / Gambling / Bettor Beware - Don't Trust BitBook - They've Been Cheating on: January 21, 2014, 12:52:15 PM
If the odds shift in your favor before you place a bet, the bet is accepted without warning you that the odds have changed.

However if the odds change in their favor only, as you would expect the bet is rejected, forcing an odds refresh.

This was mentioned by a player over a month ago in their 80+ page thread which surely many have tuned out, and BitBook has been saying it's a feature not a bug!

Please read that one more time. They've been intentionally cheating players since their inception in March of last year.

Yesterday I (unaware of said thread) emailed them demanding that this be fixed and requesting a small bounty. After one email they stopped responding and now I see that they claim this exploit has been fixed, after running with it for 9 months and having been publicly outed for 1 month.

Why bet with someone who willfully cheats you?

You're going to see their mouthpiece with his bizarre photo-icon come on here and say something about "we wanted to reject fewer bets." Translation: We were happy to take advantage of you if we could.

In the coming days I will reveal additional reasons why you should stay far far away from BitBook.
