81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Teacoin (TEA) On 9 Exchanges!!! New Dice Game. 0 Premine Rare!! on: May 05, 2014, 07:54:36 PM
I think PoS will be very good for coin
Maybe it could help but it isn't ultimate solution for every coin like everybody thinks.

Yearly inflation is around 2.5-3%.  It will grow this way until we we can afford quantum computers Wink  So let's say this yearly inflation is safe for the next decade.

Teacoin has extremely fast transactions.  This will never change.

Mining Teacoin now is just way to say thank you to miners keeping the blockchain moving.  It also does not require much hash power to keep it moving.  If everyone stopped mining today my 1.5 gh miner could keep it going.

We passed 400k blocks recently which is a great milestone Wink

TEA has been added to a new exchange

http://cryptotc.us/market#TEA

How it works
If you're here, you probably have something you want to trade and something you want to trade for. CryptOTC provides a set of available coins from which you can place offers or view offers others have already placed. Offers consist of an offer coin and a request coin. The offer coin is the coin you're offering up for trade. The request coin is the coin which you would like to receive in trade. You can place offers for different sets of coins and also for different amounts.

If you see an offer that catches your eye or a reply to one of your offers you can negotiate until both parties agree on a price. At this point a trade can occur. CryptOTC strongly recommends finding a trusted party to carry out escrow for any trades that happen OTC. Cryptocurrencies are built so that transactions can't be easily reversed. By being the first party to send coin during a trade you are at risk of losing those coins. You can also fulfill the transaction incrementally. This will limit your loss but loss can still occur.

It may be a good move to make someone pm chinese exchanges.

Teacoin will only increase about 1.5M per year or 3.5% yearly inflation.  It will take about 5 years to reach 50M total TEA

Standard metric prefixes folks. It's not exactly rocket science. Just move the decimal place around.

True.
It is just like m (meter) cm (centimeter) and mm (millimeter).

doesn't come naturally for everyone ;p

I started a topic here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=574782 about the using bitblah.com to convert BTC to other units.

If you have any questions about converting between btc, mbtc, cbtc, ubtc and satoshi or if you find an issue let me know.

I know it can be hard to convert between these units

0.00000001 ฿ = 1 Satoshi
0.00000100 ฿ = 1 μBTC (microbitcoin)
0.00100000 ฿ = 1 mBTC (millibitcoin)
0.01000000 ฿ = 1 cBTC (centibitcoin)
1.00000000 ฿ = 1 BTC (bitcoin)
