The amount of fud and bs around the Visa card is ridiculous. Monaco have said all along that they won't announce anything until it's ready. that doesn't mean it's not 'approved' - just not fully ready. people on here are posting month old quotes from Kris where he stated this. so what? Bitpay has a Visa card, so does coinbase, so why should it be a problem for Monaco that has a great team and millions in funding? MCO holders should not dump now as price drops, it's clearly due to fud and whale manipulation. if anything , but more now! I am in for the long run, looking forward to my black Lamborghini, I mean, black card. 😉 I have total confidence in the team and the tech.

in case anyone else has the same problem.....
I realised that Bitcoin ABC was not updating properly - probably because it got confused with having the wrong blockchain (from Bitcoin Core) It is accessing the same Blockchain directory as Core. So I think i need to re-index it. on OSX you do this:
/Applications/Bitcoin\ ABC\ 2.app/Contents/MacOS/Bitcoin-Qt -reindex
and I guess after that's finished and I want to use Bitcoin core again, I'll need to reindex my blockchain again using bitcoin core.
[edit]
A simpler solution is to just copy the whole Bitcoin directory (in Library > Application Support ) that contains the blockchain. rename it to something else like 'Bitcoin Core original' then after you launch Bitcoin ABC and you've successfully sold your useless fake Bitcoins (BCC) then you can delete the whole ABC crap and rename the 'Bitcoin Core original' directory back to 'Bitcoin' and carry on, have a cup of tea and pretend the whole Bitcoin Cash fiasco never happened.

wow... the MCO price rise is great. The card is supposed to coming out in September... Let's hope they announce the date soon. I'm not selling any of my MCO for at least a year after product launch. :-)

Oh yeah I think so.... "Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool" Does that mean it hasn't been broadcast yet?

i sent the BCC an hour ago and it's still not confirmed? Is the BCC chain that slow?

my BTC balance is still showing on blockchain.info so that's a relief. my local blockchain is still 29 hours behind.
Many people were actually saying that you should move your BTC to a different address before you spend your BCH. Fortunately your money is safe. Be more careful next time. I thought if you moved your BTC to a new address then you wouldn't have any BCH anymore because it would be post-split ? I thought this was a very careful way of doing it! No, You just needed to store bitcoins in your wallet till 1st aug, after that you can spend your bitcoins and still have BCC on that same empty wallet. That's what I did. Sorry I think I worded that a bit weirdly... I meant: "I thought if you moved your BTC to a new address then you wouldn't have any BCH anymore because it would be post-split ? I thought that keeping my Bitcoin core wallet.dat unchanged and then opening it using Bitcoin ABC to spend the BCC was a very careful way of doing it!"

Can you post transaction ID of BTC and BCC and did you received your BCC on kraken.
hmmm... the txID is not showing on either chain yet... maybe just a bit slow. b13bc2f589a9b374762e83aa661fb34b757a49cfb978af78d642f7eddf107131 my BTC balance is still showing on blockchain.info so that's a relief. my local blockchain is still 29 hours behind.

WTF?!!!
I had an old Bitcoin core wallet.dat file that had some BTC on it, So I decided to get the BCC from it by opening it up using Bitcoin ABC wallet There is was - my BCC. So I sent it to Kraken to sell it. Now when I load up the wallet.dat in Bitcoin Core - the BTC has vanished!!!???
It has a transaction saying I sent BTC to the same address I sent the BCC too - but wtf? I didn't do that I sent BCC to that address using ABC wallet. So why the F***K has my BTC gone?
I am not an idiot - I have been using bitcoin for years. I dont understand why it has made a transaction on the BTC chain? when i sent BCC? Can someone explain what I did wrong?
Is Bitcoin ABC wallet a scam?
(edit) - I am guessing that the ABC wallet has corrupted my local Blockchain - do i need to delete my local blockchain and start downloading it again now?!!!

![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bitcoinid.org%2FbitcoinID.png&t=663&c=rJj9QRuS09klNw) Get your free BitcoinID username now! **** THE FIRST 1000 REGISTRATIONS ARE FREE **** 1 FREE BitcoinID PER PERSON! BitcoinID is an Open Source, Free & Immutable Username / Password pair that can be used to log into any application that uses the protocol. It is stored with the Bitcoin blockchain. It cannot be destroyed or deleted. It is your username - forever. BitcoinID has nothing to do with identifying Bitcoin transactions - it simply uses the Bitcoin blockchain to store a Username/Password pair. In this way you can create a username that truly lasts - you don't need to rely on any private company's servers/databases to store your credentials. Anyone who has ever lost a username because MSN, Yahoo, Facebook or some other company closed their account for whatever reason, will realise that this is a great idea. You can now create a username that will be yours forever - as long as the Bitcoin blockchain exists somewhere (there are currently millions of copies) your username will exist. The Bitcoin blockchain is THE most widely distributed blockchain. BitcoinID does NOT use the Ethereum blockchain in any way. As long as you create a complex enough password (we allow you up to 72 characters) and you don't forget your password - you will be able to use it forever. There is no way to change your password - so make sure it is complex enough to not be brute-forced (we suggest 9 characters minimum). As with OpenID - any developer can use our login system to make their application truly P2P and futureproof. The difference to OpenID is that there is no central database that needs to be relied on. Application developers can search their own optimised copy of the Bitcoin blockchain or use other various API's that are freely available which allow this (such as blockchain.info) For a limited time (the first 1000 registrations) we are offering 1 free ID per visitor. In the future we will release Bitcoin Chat - a free, open source P2P chat program that uses the BitcoinID login system. CREATE YOUR OWN FREE BitcoinID at bitcoinID.org!! Developer API for using the Auth login system coming soon. !! We will be releasing a P2P Bitcoin blockchain based chat software soon that will use our BitcoinID login system.

no idea what 'the pin' is supposed to mean.
Anyway- Bitmain have now offered to pay for me to return the 2nd faulty hash board at their expense.
AND they have said they will 'try' to replace both the faulty boards. So I am feeling hopeful now.
Shame I had to write them 100 threatening emails to get to this point but hey - at least they seem to be honoring their warranty now...
we will see.... if I ever get any hash boards back again! I hope so...
|
|
|
***** WARNING *****
If Bitmain send you a faulty S9 - they will not repair or refund you.
Their Warranty is worth nothing, They will lie to you, ignore you - whatever to avoid replacing faulty goods.
Anyone who wants to join me in a class-action lawsuit - please message me.
I have spent over 20,000 USD with Bitmain - yet they refuse to honor their warranty.
My S9 was DOA - 1 dead board the same day I switched it on. Another board died 60 days later.
Bitmain deserve to go bust. LETS SUE THEM. JOIN ME IN SUING THEM FOR A FULL REFUND

I also had an experience with getting a S9 (12.93 TH/s version) with a bad hashboard. We received the miner on June 16th. Powered it up (we are in a data center with heavily reliable electrical systems) and the one board never turned on. Keep in mind there was still 85+ days left on their manufacturer warranty. Initially they refused to accept the warranty claim, saying there wasn't any way it came damaged and we had caused the damage. After some heavy bitching and begging, they said we could ship it back, but the repairs may not be covered by the warranty. Sent it back June 20th. Here it is August 15th and we still haven't heard a word back from them about it. Had someone inquire on the status today. We have spent well over $150k on miners from Bitmain. Luckily most of our machines have worked to spec or are within tolerance. However even with all the money that we have given them, we get no special treatment and are still treated like we are a problem. If they continue this practice, they may be subject to some international class action lawsuit.
WOW! They really are stupid. Why don't they want happy customers. Right now, I think I would NEVER recoomend Antminers And I will NEVER buy from these people again. I hope they go bust. I have 2 dead boards on a brand new S9 - and they are refusing to replace it. ASSH**LES

no i dont have a picture, but when i sent it to them it looked comletely normal - no burnt parts or anything like that. now a 2 nd board has died. I don't know if i should send the whole machine back to them. Maybe there is a fault with the fans, who knows? I don't trust those A**HOLES to send me a new machine. $1800 ..... turned to shit. F**K YOU BITMAIN I HAVE THIS F**KING MACHINE LESS THAN 60 days AND IT IS F**KED, WHY WON'T THEY REPLACE IT !? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)
|
|
|
So I PAID $1800 USD for a fuckign 4 TH/s miner - YIPPEEEEEE !!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS TRIBUNAL. HERE IS ALL THE INFO YOU NEED TO DO IT (Hong Kong) http://www.judiciary.gov.hk/en/crt_services/pphlt/html/sc.htmI am wondering if I need to go to court in China or Hong Kong? The warranty repars are in Hong Kong - but the machine was sent to me from China - i think.... Any ideas?
|
|
|
I might just fly over to Hong Kong and put a brick through their car window. Maybe not today, maybe in 5 years time, I will find some Bitmain staff's car and smash it up with a baseball bat. I am a big fan of revenge served up cold. They will never know why but one day something valuable of theirs will be broken. i do not forget my enemies.
|
|
|
Yes it seems the Warranty is just fake. ..............
Please check the picture attached.
.......
thelema93 - Post this picture herePicture of what? I have now 2 DEAD BOARDS on my brand new S9 - and the retards in 'Barbera' at Bitmain refuses to repair or replace. ASSSSSHOLES
|
|
|
Now a 2nd board has broken!
They sent me this unit 60 days ago!!! It is well within the warranty.
I have 5 other Antminers in the same room - they are alll working fine.
Obviously it is a defective machine.
i dont know what to do now - ? Send the whole machin back to them? So they can tell me the logistics broke it!!!!!???
F**K IT
I am really pissed off with these morons.
Do I really need to take them to court? To get my money back? What a joke.
|
|
|
I have been lucky only to have to ship back one dead board on an S7. Which they promptly lost never to be seen again. But yes, if you get a bad miner, you just lost your money. Because they don't backup their product or take into account how their failure effects their customers. If there was another game in town, I'd treat them the same way they have treated me. Zero loyalty.
I totally agree - if there was ANYONE else making a similar miner - I would go to them.
|
|
|
Good luck - they will tell you that YOU broke it when sending it back - that's what they said to me. Maybe we can start a class action suit against them if they pull this stunt to lots of people. Want to join in a lawsuit against them? I f**king can't stand people who steal my money. I will get them somehow.
