Well just to bring some kind of balance or rebuttal to your information - if for entertainment only:

1. The whole ticket thing and various reactions is because Ken has been hassled non-stop 24/7 with proof here proof there proof everywhere after going to some effort to win back confidence (though ultimately yes, we wouldn't have this situation if his communication was top notch in the first place). I think some people have just got tired of it. This forum witnessed all kinds of documents etc and a member went to visit Ken to investigate and wrote up a report.

....Personally I think demanding for a picture of a ticket was overkill given the timeframe. I think it was appropriate to ask for a "Yes the meeting went well / or not" reply though. We did get that and hopefully a more thorough response will shed more positive news.

2. Ken didn't choose to moderate the AMC thread in the first place from memory. I'm pretty sure it was moderated as the result of a poll taken.

3. As for the direction it has always been clear. It has always been the intention to own a good stake of the global hashrate by the business developing its own machines and building a farm as well as selling machines to the public at a markup. The delivery of intentions was somewhat murky for awhile but right from the start it was plainly stated.

Build next gen machines, buy at manufacturing price, build farm. Build more machines, sell them at markup.

Can't blame you for being queezy but. I feel like you really have had to witness things developing day by day since ~ May to have a good feel on whats going on it has been an interesting rollercoaster to say the least.

That's fair enough, if you're happy with how things are progressing that's good. I just wanted to explain my earlier post.
83  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 26, 2013, 01:25:18 PM
Can you share some details?

Essentially it's just a gut feeling, after reading many (but not all) posts. I've spent a decent chunk of my life observing businesses/personalities on message boards, and generally searching for investments/ways to make money.

I think it's given me a bit of a feel for what a 'successful venture' feels like. I'm going with feeling/experience here.

For example, I'd read how the friedcat threads and other successful operators worked. There was never a time when they needed to 'moderate' their own threads, the structure of the company was clear and understandable at first glance, the direction the company was heading was clear, relevant questions were answered instead of relentlessly dodged. Focusing on dividends now? People acting offended when asked to post a ticket stub (for the recent trip)..

Just too many little things, which quite frankly, made me feel a complete lack of confidence.

Anyway, I won't post anymore here - I am no FUD spreader! Everyone should do their own research and reach their own conclusions. I really hope this works out for ya'll, I too am on the search for an investment where $10k can become $500k+ in 9 months, ala asicminer IPO holders Wink That's why I'm here, reading away, trying to figure out what's real.

If I'm wrong this one will surely cost me, and you all deserve the gains if so, because I sure as hell can't see it today.

Good luck everyone!

I've been following this company (ActiveMining) for around 2 weeks now.

Initially I picked up some shares, being rushed and seeing the IPO selling out, I didn't do any research first.

After reading all posts by k.slaughter and a huge % of other threads relating to this, it is my unqualified opinion that investors will lose their funds.

I could well be wrong, but the number of red flags is such that one cannot ignore it.

I hope I'm wrong for the sake of you investors.. But honestly fellas, I've been in business myself for a decade, witnessed many business operations come and go.. Feel like I have a sense for what is a legit operation. My gut is saying stay away.

Anyone else bored of people being surprised by completely normal, expected behavior of an exponentially growing economy?

It has gotten old surprisingly quickly..

I strongly recommend picking up a Reverse Osmosis water filter, that's about as powerful as you can get for home solutions. Drinking pure water helps with all health ailments really.

Nice explanation Rassah, thanks!

94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you seen such crazy guy ever ?! on: May 11, 2013, 02:55:11 AM
Being a journalist he's probably lying and has actually kept a copy of the private key somewhere and he can move the funds secretly later when all the hub-bub has gone away ... and there is no way to prove or disprove if he has destroyed the private key so he's safe.

If he has destroyed the key he has just made all bitcoins more valuable so he can't win if he decides to play ... thanks (but I don't believe him).

Exactly..

Huh? this has little to nothing to do with SD. AFAIR they no longer create very small outputs.
You, sir, have the patience of a saint.

I'll say!

Thanks for the quality explanations gmaxwell  Smiley

Maybe they just want to destroy Mt Gox and make way for themselves?

Simple greed at work or something more sinister?

Yup, it's one of the few (only?) claims that can legally be made when selling Colloidal Silver in Australia. Good for water purification.
98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Silver is important on: May 03, 2013, 06:23:48 AM
So how does one go about purifying water with a silver coin?

You can pass a low voltage thru 2 silver wires in pure water, creating Colloidal Silver (many guides online).

Then you can add this to your water for purification (from bacteria, virus, parasite etc), filtering particles you'd still need to do.

So CoinLab couldn't even sell a few coins to my American friends..

Couldn't they get their hands on enough bitcoin? It's really that hard?
100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suing MtGox for $75m is a dick move. on: May 03, 2013, 06:02:51 AM
Maybe that's taking it a bit far.. ^  Tongue

I recommended a couple friends use CoinLab a few months back. They were able to buy 10 coins or so, maybe a few times, after that none were available for sale.

Their operation looks very professional, Bitcoin badly needs operators like this. But so far they have not delivered.

Oh well, I am curious to see what MtGox have to say after reading the complaint.
