According to CMC, with their hyperinflated exchange volumes, BSV has a daily volume of about $55 million with a $750 million market cap. Lower metrics than BCH, SHIBA, Filecoin, Apecoin or Axie Infinity.
I seriously doubt that exchanges made any bets on BSV and use it as collateral, investment or in any vital financial product or department.
If all of this is indeed true and they "upgraded" the code with some backdoors all it will do is lose more worshippers and get delisted from those few exchanges that stil tolerate them.
The fact that they expect such code to be implemented into BTC is bonkers. Could a judge obligate open source devs to change the code ?
Regarding the lawsuits, I propose we make a coin and do a ICO to raise funds for future lawsuits.
Call it CWLF ( craig wright lawsuit fund) and list it on some exchanges.
And everytime he loses and will be obligated to pay damages the money will be used to buy the coins off the exchanges so price goes up and investors get some ROI. Rinse and repeat. The way I see it he will not stop going to court and we might as well get something out of it. Of course with the ones being sued receiving the most percet of CWLF Coins.

What makes you think this file contains a virus or malware? I checked the wallet file with VirusTotal and it found nothing. Have you checked this file yourself? I'm not touching on the other aspects of your post - newbies, just woke up, spam, etc. I can confirm it has malware ! Remcos and keylogger to be more specific  |

As far as I'm aware most websites which appear to be decentralised, are only somewhat decentralised. pseudo-decentralised might be the word for it. As in, they allow contributions from the community, and largely there's no central figure, but ultimately someone controls it, and if they wanted could indeed intervene even if it hasn't as of yet.
I don't see much gov pressurres to ban bitcointalk, although some countries like turkey and russia started the trend. First thing that comes to mind would be a namecoin .bit version. Did not see any live implementations but something similar to what https://zeronet.io/ was trying to do. When epochtalk would be working perheps some community members can make use of it's API and make a namecoin clone that some may want to use. It is a masive undertaking and as the title of the thread suggest this is a non-technical discussion, so just ideas from the top of our heads. I think part of the issues here is lack of understanding of my post and suggestions. I wish I could share this with optimists or people who would not believe my simple ideas are impossible to implement. I actually prefer to solve problems alone than involving people unless I could control what they say. It's hard to find people like me.
Either I don't understand your propposal, or you did not explain properly or you seem to be talking about things that you don't really understand how they work under the hood... no offense, just MHO. I found an interesting tool yesterday called "DocFetcher". It's a bit like Google Search for your local data. It should enable me search for posts/writeup I saved in my laptop. It would be nice using that for all of my valuable posts on the internet saved in my devices.
I want something that could serve me well whenever I start moving more often as a nomad, without the internet.

Păi ăsta era planul, să vānd moneda pe 1inch. 1inch nu e doar o monedă, e un exchange descentralizat. Și de aia 20k era nevoie ca să cumpar propria moneda și să-i dau valoare.
Te-ai informat despre detaliile unei listari pe un DEX ? Cum se calculeaza pretul in functie de lichiditate, cat se blocheaza lichiditatea, cum se calculeaza pretul in urma tranzactiilor ? etc ? -In principiu lichiditatea pe care o pui (sa zicem BUSD in cazul de fata) se blocheaza pe minim 1 an. Poti si fara dar nu cred ca ar cumpara nimeni daca dev-ul poate scoate oricand "gajul". E oarecum o garantie ca nu fuge in secunda 2 -Pretul initial s-ar calcula: numarul de monede de Tip 2 (BUSD) / numarul de monede de Tip 1 (PULA). Deci 20,000 / 7,700,000,000 (in caz ca asta mai este de actualitate) inseamna un pret initial de $0.0000025974 -Pretul din order book se calculeaza cu o constanta: numarul de monede de Tip 1 (PULA) x numarul de monede de Tip 2 (BUSD) trebuie sa ramana constant: SUM(PULA) x SUM(BUSD) = K. Posibil sa difere formula de la platforma la platforma. Eu de asta am auzit Si folosind aceasta formula cand cineva cumpara PULA deci din pool scade cantitatea de PULA si creste cantitatea de BUSD se ajusteaza pretul. Sunt destul de multe aspecte, foarte multe pe care nici eu nu le cunosc, dar despre care ar trebui sa te interesezi daca exista vointa pentru asa ceva. Si toate riscurile asociate de genul: foarte usor manipulabil pretul fiind lichiditatea mica si altele. In primul rand ai grija de tine, multa sanatate si bafta si mai informeaza-te despre toate astea daca chiar vrei sa "investesti" in ideea asta! |
