It seems to me that bitcoin will only grow stronger in the payment market over time. The growth of its popularity in Russia and the world will only contribute to this.

I don't know why you guys are still discussing this -- as posted above, the website will be offline for the next few days.

Yeahman. If you actually got ripped off, my heart goes out to you... But there's nothing the cops can do, to be honest.

It's the same deal as torrenting, my friend. No one can shut down peer to peer... Without essentially shutting down the internet.

I think it has great potential, but it's lack of a central authority, ability to stay anonymous in transactions, and digital currency as malleable as cash may be its downfall.

I dislike how everyone seems to attack sites such as SilkRoad for their use of bitcoin. While I do not approve of it, the point of BTC was to avoid dealing with a central authority telling you what you can and cannot use their money on -- these sorts of sites are simply utilizing BTC to it's fullest potential, albeit not in the most moral way.

I'm kind of realizing the amazingness of BTC -- with a way to freely exchange USD to BTC, there is a way to take your actual money under your own protection, albeit with the risk of losing it physically on the hardware or losing it virtually in the exchange rates.

I actually think these restrictions are a bit goofy, but with the growing popularity of bitcoins it will keep from new members flooding in with spam.

So basically, instead of the creator putting tons of money into servers to take care of the security of bitcoin exchanges, the miners are being paid to use their rigs to do that job?

American Football, Ultraviolet Sound, MGMT, The Black Keys, Anthem In.
I recommend highly all five of those bands.

You expect a newborn currency to normalize so quickly? BTC will not even out until it is more widely used and less widely seen as a money-making ordeal.

Your business will be taken a lot more seriously if your ordering interface is more indepth (as someone mentioned, you offer different dosage amounts on some tablets -- but leave no way to choose).

Wow, I'm interested to hear more about this. I never really understood what the purpose of mining was, or why miners basically get free money. But it makes sense that miners are using their CPU to protect this fledgling currency's security flaws. Really fascinating.

Hey guys, I'm Ampersand. I signed up for two reasons: Firstly, I was thinking about buying some bitcoins back when they were at about $6, as an investment, ya know? I'm now realizing I definitely should've, so now I'm jumping on the train. I'm no miner, but I feel like this would be a fun low-profit day trading type thing ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Secondly, a friend of mine showed me a logo contest for 15 BTC, and I've already made up some mock-ups, but I now see new members can't post in most of the forums haha. Anywho, hope I can keep from being a bother ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) -Amp
