I am going to take a step back from buying the shares , the dev team and one member of the community in personal message said George is anonymous. This person said he does trust George but I am too risk averse for this.

Just to make sure it is 100% clear, the Gulden shares project is run by a community member and is not something we as the dev team are involved with, we do not have any direct oversight of the project or control over the funds involved with it etc.
While I do appreciate the support the project brings in terms of hash rate etc. there is always ultimately a risk when handing money over to an individual in a situation like this, that individual ultimately has complete control over the money you entrust them with and it is out of our power to ensure that everything goes smoothly, some caution should always be exercised in terms of how much money you are willing to expose to this sort of risk.
This is not to say that I specifically think George has sinister motives there has been nothing so far that would indicate this - however of course things can go wrong even without sinister motives - at the end of the day as the dev team we have to trust people to make their own judgement on what they do with their money so we leave everyone to make their own decision on this sort of thing, I just feel that it does need to be clear that the dev team is not involved here though so that an informed decision can be reached.
Does the dev team and community have Georges contact details? I'm not aware of anyone having George's details - however if anyone does I am sure they will correct me. It is not a project I have followed very closely so I can't really say much more about it than the above. I want to help support Gulden and the extra mining power is good for the blockchain. I want 140 share @850 per share is 119 000 nlg every month. |

No. The BTC halving, regardless what it will do with it's price or the total hashes on it's network, are not related in such regarding the Gulden mining part, nor the buy-support part. I'll try to explain: The purpose of Project Hybrid, is to support Gulden in several ways. In the core, it is yielding Bitcoins through community owned SHA256 equipment. Each day, these yielded BTC's are being spend to acquire Guldens through 2 sources. It has been opted to add a third one, though currently it sticks with 2: - Mining them (renting Scrypt hardware) - and buying them from the market(s), such as Bittrex for example ( Hence, the name "Hybrid" ) Between them two, mining and buying, mining was the more expensive one. Example: For every X amount of Bitcoin yielded, we could collect 10.000 Guldens from the market through buying them, whilst for that same amount of X Bitcoins we could collect 7.000 Guldens through mining them. Yet with the current conditions, the price of both Gulden and the Bitcoin, it is possible to acquire 9.000 Guldens from the market, whilst we could collect 8.000 Guldens through mining (these numbers are not real figures, but merely to simplify the example). So what I was referring to, that if (and only if) these line continues to shift in favor of mining being able to acquire more daily Guldens than through buying them, a bigger part of the daily yielded Bitcoins will be spend on mining. The reason behind it, is to obtain the most Guldens for the holders

Shares are 0.05 BTC each, so that would own you 40 shares. The average what Hybrid is yielding thus far for it's holders, is roughly 1.000 NLG per share per month. But previous mining project was well done by George. He has taken it a step further. Read the links above (english as well), it explains a lot, shares are permanent. Opt out options also there. It started as supporting the Gulden network, but now it is more parameters in there. OPT out and you get your btc back after earning all that NLG ? |

About 50 days worth of mining support to 499 sat on bittrex, it will take traders dumping to get back into the 400s or buy support being pulled.

Enjoy these low prices while there isn't any marketing or awareness of Gulden, without any marketing on cointelegraph and any crypto websites this coins value is very good but that's because the development is that good. That android wallet is superior to anything else I have tested in crypto. It will be scary when promotion starts. The only thing that has been done by community was a few stickers. If you guys can't see what's been done promotion-wise beyond some stickers you really suck. And CoinTelegraph refuses to post anything about Gulden, go ahead and contact them about posting something about Gulden with all the goodies it has to offer – you'll run into a brick wall. Same goes for Coindesk. These websites aren't a big deal at all, they only want to get paid for each article and call themselves independent – but they certainly aren't interested in quality. "Marketing" as you guys keep calling it, isn't telling lies, pasting up stickers on a bus or paying for some crappy article on a crappy 'crypto' website. Because the majority in 'crypto' thinks like you guys and doesn't see what's right in front of them and where any of the pieces are going. So if you want to keep referring to "promotion" – find places that are meaningful and relevant to getting people to actually use Gulden. Encourage people to download the app and try it, because the marketing you guys are referring to, starts with any of you actually using and showing the apps to others. Something other cryptocurrencies don't encourage, because 'they' know their apps suck donkey balls. The experience is the marketing. Any of the recent Gulden for Android users can tell you what that felt like and how excited they got over the quality. So be my guest and keep your head wrapped around those stickers and bullshit 'crypto websites of yours – that'll get you places for sure, but stop mentioning that fucking nonsense over here. Don't knock marketing altogether, if you do a conference for Gulden and get it on Poloniex the amount of btc that went into pumping digibyte would of taken the Gulden price to over 4000sat. Digibyte has a lot more supply so it needs more btc to push the price higher. Gulden is growing slowly, the yearly ave price is moving up all the time. Slow and steady wins the race . Why do you want mass marketing to a bunch of traders who only care about the amount of btc they will make. Most in this community would rather have dedicated users that enjoy the products then spending money on hype. |

New android wallet coming tomorrow?
It was supposed to be March but there must be delays, better to wait another week or two for good development. MaNI has said it's almost ready in previous posts. Hi, Android wallet is basically done from a software perspective, but due to some unfortunate timing, schedule clashes and personal event with various team members we haven't yet managed to 100% finalise the graphics. As there are so many android devices around it is also a lot more work to ensure it looks and works well on as many of them as possible. Testing is ongoing and some of the slack community members are already using it to help with this, everything looks good. We will as you say only release once we are 100% happy rather than release something inferior, it should not be long now though. Great work ! I have a question with regards to the new iOS and Android wallets. Lets say another digital currency becomes more useful then bitcoin, how easy would it be for your team to add it as a payment option like you doing for bitcoin? I am thrilled the team has gone this route and gives another reason to keep my Gulden long term. |

Like I said in another thread that it will hurt the crypto market real bad if it drops to $1 again. I bought in at a good price and will either sell at $20 or $10 depending which way the market turns. Just to add I never expected this price so soon and do feel it's very overvalued for what it offers but look at the Dow Jones... way overvalued compared to the real economy. |

Will Gulden be hard forking to multi-algo like Auroracoin?
No, we have reviewed it a while ago together with some other algo's and decided not to. Because we enjoy the luxury of having a pretty capable dev team we decided to develop our own algo called DELTA, instead of copypasting. A tailormade solution suits us better. At least you being innovative and not copying other coins, if you ever do copy Multi-Algo please give myraidcoin the credit it deserves and not the coin that pretend they developed it. Gulden is leading on it's own path. |
