Rethinking Digital Currency

Bitcoin, the world’s first decentralized digital currency, was launched in 2009. It was the prototype that introduced and demonstrated to the world the potential benefits and usages of a decentralized digital currency. However, digital currencies are still in their infant stages and have yet to see widespread mainstream adoption and usage as a unit of exchange both online and offline. There is a need to rethink the current approach to the design and marketing of digital currencies in order to achieve a global mass appeal.

August 30th

On the 30th of August the Pandacoin (PND) development team will unveil and release the highly anticipated set of major development updates to Pandacoin. The founders, developers, and architects of Pandacoin (PND) endeavor to redefine the current space with this set of major development updates, and be positioned to become the future digital currency of choice for the masses.

The "moderated" (read "deleted") posts are pointing to the need of having our own forum ASAP... maybe even before August 30th.

Oh by miners .... Oh ... Smiley Thanks for answers .

Good luck with them greedy miners Wink

I am in cryptocurrency from long time and i've been part of many teams . Until I retired on my own . You know what is the problem with crypto now ? MINERS ! They are GREEDY , THEY WANT THEIR ROI ASAP + 200% EXTRA if possible . So when its distributed by miners all I can see its a TOTAL FAIL . Miners will keep dump . That is all they know . They dont know to integrate and help the community .

Like they've done with Bitcoin and Litecoin.

Now this leaves me asking how either of these managed to survive, considering that distribution to and by miners, from your perspective, is the worst possible way to get a coin in circulation.

People are telling me ...that this coin was fairly distributed but yet I find no info regarding that . Can somebody help clear things for me ? Since for now all coins starting with Panda are a scam for me  Roll Eyes And I find it very dificult to write anything about it knowing its bumpy past and the stigma on its name .

Fairly meaning there has been neither a premine or an IPO to sell of a potential premine, meaning it was only distributed to miners by miners.

And I find it very dificult to write anything about it knowing its bumpy past and the stigma on its name .

We're fairly aware of said confusion and would like to apologize for what other teams might have done with and to similar named projects.

Posted this yesterday but with no response. Since then Voot has gone from 500 to 150 and is falling like a rock.  Unlike most dead shitcoins they're leaving behind an advanced infrastructure of anon payments, SMS payments, a beta Exchange and an anon Market and Cloud storage solutions in development via something the called the Smokeproject.

They died because of disorganization and internal confusion not because of technology.  I didn't see the total death-spiral meltdown in time and got screwed.  Such is life.  Win some loose some.

I know Panda is about keeping is simple but Voot's tech is all there for the taking along with talented, committed developers.  It seems like a good idea for Pandacoin to reach out and absorb these smart people and software (I wouldn't ever put them on or near the core team because even though they're uber-smart they don't play well with others.)

I've been with Panda since the beginning and I was a big part of the price rise this weekend.  It might have happened anyway but I think I made the one or two large purchases that opened the floodgate for the big spenders to taste the waters.  I'm going to be there tonight as well pushing and prodding to see how I can help push things up.

What about on-line storage, and on-line market and an Exchange? CloudPanda, PandaBay and PandaPal? Seriously ... read on:

Vootcoin had something called the Smokeproject working on these projects.  The Smokeproject seems to have more-or-less kept their deadlines and promises but Voot is in the process of collapse because of complete disorganization, in-fighting and drama.

The projects are either done or underway and I would guess up for grabs because at this point there is no organization at Voot to receive the projects or pay for anything and no dev to keep anything running.

All Panda would have to do is approach the SmokeProject to rebrand everything, give them a point person with whom to coordinate and presumably pay something for the service.  There is deep frustration on the part of the Smokeproject at the disorganization they're dealing with.  They might like to do a deal ...

While The Smokeproject is very eccentric the group seems basically honest.

Your post has been seen and your suggestion noted but there's not much of a response I can give you right now.

Basically we need to organize a pump.  Get a bunch of people putting in 1 or 2 LTC and those walls will vaporize.  Not sure how to organize it.  Is anyone close enough to IconicExpert or one of those guys that they'll listen and join in/promote Panda? This coin has great profit potential if it can get past these roadblocks at 138 and 155.

And then you have a whole horde of dumpers on the BTC market instantly shifting their coins over to PND/LTC when reaching the three sat mark which inevitably starts the next bagholding cycle.

Inflating the price mindlessly and just because will leave broken hearts.

The windows wallet, both stand-alone and setup, are not working when installing in windows 8, getting error: runtime ..../terminate in unusual way something

have you tried a second time?? I mostly get a starting error when I open a wallet for the first time.... then when I try it again, it starts...

Since he tried both the standalone and setup it's safe to assume that the data folder got accessed at least two times.
